This week includes the first day of spring! Looking forward to official Spring!

Good morning / good afternoon to Twins and Harriet! Happy St Patrick's Day to all who celebrate.

It's cold and grey here, but at least it's dry. I e spent the morning mulching the roses in my front garden. Not one of my favourite jobs, as it's heavy and messy work. But it's done now! (I still have all the roses in the back garden to do, but that's for another day.) This afternoon, I really must do some housework!

Looking at Ancestry DNA, I actually have very very little Irish DNA - only 1%! I'm mostly English and Germanic Europe and then Scottish.

It's only thirty-eight here (feels like 31 degrees!) but going to be sunny today. I'm not sure whether I have a haircut this a.m. or not - need to call in a minute. I had an 11:30 appointment on my calendar today but I haven't received a reminder call to confirm, so wonder if I got the wrong date? I need my hair cut a little shorter this time. So I'll call in a minute. I also have a workout later at two, and I think we'll eat out tonight - dh is away early Tuesday-late Thursday this week.

Ah, no haircut this week. Must have been a random appointment generator. Appointment wasn't until 7 April so I rescheduled for next week.

So, quiet morning, workout this afternoon, and eating out this p.m. (I'd be fine with not eating out, but OTOH dh will be away and I probably won't be cooking so much anyway.)

Realized that I'm on the road in less than two weeks. Will need to leave two weeks from yesterday for Richmond VA research trip.

Back from class. Morning routines and foot prints were done before I left.

Took care of my sunnies, but the winds are still blowing and the weather looks iffy.

Next up…
* Declutter my bathroom cabinets and adjoining guest closet
* vacuum living area w/o Einstein
* visit the tax man
* take my security papers to the police and have my finger prints taken
* short grocery run.

No side garden work. The winds are blowing too hard to put the dirt down.

Sitting here doing a quick CUOP before I scoot out the door to Monday morning "fibre arts" group AKA knitting. I will be doing counted cross stitch project. Last Friday at the "fibre arts Friday" group I don't think I stitched more than 10 stitches in the entire 3 hours.

Good news is that the intersection is now open, so traffic should be back to normal.

Somehow, overnight, 2 bowls appeared beside the kitchen sink. Must be from a leprechaun!

Good Morning!

We have a success! One of the traps has finally captured the raccoon that has been destructive around our home. I have texted the trap fella and he will be picking up the racoon to be relocated miles away. I wish it farewell and send it off with best wishes for its future somewhere else.

Today is day #4 of 10 day spring break. I have put some thought into our options of things to do during spring break. There are pro/cons to all options so it is just a matter of pain vs pleasure. I am all about doing more activities that bring me joy. This spring break is going to be devoted to those joy filled activities. Most of my chosen activities would be considered dull and unappealing to others and I'm 100% okay with that. I do care what DH thinks so I consulted him and asked for his requests. Who would have thought it after 52 years together........we seem to think alike.

Next up -
Me - finish personal AM care. I took shower and wash hair before 6am but didn't ever go back to do hair after it dried.
Inside - Vacuuming with Henry
Outside - 250+steps, transplant a 6 pack of lobelia flowers into 8" pots.
Food -Ingredient prep for Cheeseburger Taco
