"Fun, Fun, Fun" is a song by the American rock band the Beach Boys from their 1964 album Shut Down Volume 2. Written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love, it was released as a single in February, backed with "Why Do Fools Fall in Love". "Fun, Fun, Fun" is one of the many Beach Boys' songs that defined a genre of music called the California myth.

The lyrics are about a teenage girl who deceives her father so she can go hot-rodding with his Ford Thunderbird. At the end, her father discovers her deception and takes the keys from her. Near the end of the song, the song's narrator suggests that the girl accompany him, so that they may 'have Fun, Fun, Fun' engaging in other activities, 'now that Daddy took the T-Bird away.'

Happy Friday! For those of us working on the regular schedule, we've made it to the final work day of the week! For those retired, well, it's just another day, and for those working irregular schedules, it's a whatever day
I am working regular schedule and Friday means working from home and also hopefully catching on housework so that I can enjoy the weekend, eventhough the forecast looks nasty - we're gonna get some low temps on Sunday and next week does not look too good either.
I got caught up watching the news yesterday, trying to make sense of what happened and what it means, though judging by the look of top economic commenters, they didn't get it either. And not that it did me any good. I really should limit my exposure, but on the other hand, not knowing what is happening in the world does not sound right either!
Anyway, I gotta go take Terri to school, so BBL!

Good morning , Trissie, and thank you for starting us off. I always enjoyed listening to Fun,Fun, Fun, as the music was so happy and upbeat, even though the message of the lyrics is perhaps less than ideal!

Safe travels, L.Ann, and I hope the appointment goes smoothly.

It's still raining ATM,. although it's supposed to clear up in the next hour or two to give a nice, warm (21C / 70F) sunny day. I hope the forecast is correct, as DH is going to a beer festival with some friends , and it will be much nicer for them if they can sit outside today .

I would also like some sun for my gardening, but if it rains today I can always move the outside tasks to tomorrow. I have an appointment with the osteopath this afternoon, and I need to make another trip to M&S Foodhall to pick up a few things that Waitrose didn't have.

Oh, and I need to remember to leave early for everything for the next few weeks as yet more road works are starting in the city. We've just had three weeks of the High Street being closed for "repairs and resurfacing", but it still looks the same as before. I think many people were somewhat naively assuming that the potholes would be filled in and the uneven paving slabs fixed, but apparently not! (Quite what the Easter visitors must think about all this disruption, I dread to think! ) But that's the County Council for you. It doesn't seem to enter their heads that if one main route is closed for 6 months while they mess around with a bridge, - I can't really call one man walking up and down on the bridge and occasionally banging something "working" - then it really, really doesn't make sense to partially close and disrupt another main route where all the traffic has been diverted to! Oh, well, we have County Council elections in May...

For now, I'm just enjoying the early morning quiet - Matilda is still asleep,.and no one else has woken up either!

Done with work. I've actually been sitting here drinking my coffee and checking the internet for about 30 minutes - I won't be getting much quiet time once the kids get home! The weather is gorgeous today (17C and sunny), so I will head to the garden once I bring DBD in. Tomorrow's not so bright looking (12C and cloudy), and Sunday's gonna be cold (4C), so progress has to be made kinda now or never.

helian, well maybe your DH's company could go public in Canada! Just joking. It's better to stay away from politics. But I'm thinking about re-reading Lord of the Flies. A schoolyard bully does not stop being a bully just because they are out of school....

Nights are bad for my DM too, GMA. She spent months being sure that they were moving her and all of her furniture to different rooms every night.

Bloodwork looks good. We decided to do something simple for dinner. Back in a bit I need to go supervise outside play.
