Super Trouper is a song by the Swedish pop group ABBA, and the title track from their 1980 studio album of the same name, written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. It was released in November 1980 as the album's third single, reaching number one in several countries. It was the group's ninth and final number one on the UK Singles Chart and the fourth best-selling single in the UK that year, selling over 700,000 copies in that country alone.
The song's name refers to the Super Trouper, a make of followspot ( a specialized stage lighting instrument, manually controlled by an operator, used to track and illuminate a performer on stage, especially in concerts, musicals, and large-scale presentations.) used in large venues.
The first verse contains the line, "I was sick and tired of everything when I called you last night from Glasgow", with the video showing lead vocalist Anni-Frid Lyngstad singing this line. In February 2020, saxophonist Ulf Andersson, who toured with ABBA in the late 1970s, revealed that name-checking Glasgow was a coded love note from Björn Ulvaeus to then-wife Agnetha Faltskog. "It was a personal thing between Bjorn and Agnetha," he told the Scottish Mail on Sunday. "Björn was in Glasgow for some ABBA promotion. It was around the time they were about to separate. He wrote the lyrics and Agnetha sings it, but really it was meant to be from him."
However, in 2014 lyricist Björn Ulvaeus wrote about the creation of the song for The Singles box set, hinting it was inspired by his new fiancé Lena Källersjö: "weaving a story around that title was no problem for a man, who had fallen in love again."

Good morning, everyone, and happy Saturday!
Thank you for your very kind words about my dolls house blog, Gma. I'm so sorry about the difficulties at church. I think it's a very good idea to write down in advance what you need to say at the meeting, so you have an "aide memoir" and everything comes in the right order.
L.Ann, we have Hello Fresh over here, and also Gusto, but I haven't tried either of them (yet!).
We have another warm, sunny day forecast, so I want to make the most of it outside. When I spring cleaned the bedroom I retrieved the cushions for the patio furniture from their o secure hiding place, and they are now hanging in a cotton bag on the side of the wardrobe. So I can easily take them out to use them today if the weather really is warm enough to sit out there!

* * * Good Morning! * * *
Hi kittykatt, thanks for the start. Warm weather here too, I hope you can enjoy your patio fully

I intend to read on a garden chair today, it's one of the pleasures of Spring.
Not CUOP. Long week at payroll, but with my boss on vacation, I was able to focus undisturbed on some long-neglected things, and I feel glad I did. She's back on Monday, there are issues awaiting her (not my fault) and it will be... interesting to see if she can manage it all without making others pay for her lack of anticipation.
It's a beautiful day, it's technically my birthday although I don't feel the desire to celebrate. Back from an appt with my doctor about the effects of perimenopause, she gave me a prescription for a birth control pill with progesterone in it, not sure it will be enough to alleviate hot flushes and insomnia and PMS that I now have regularly, but at least I will try it for a few months, and if it doesn't do the job I will have more arguments to ask for something "more serious".
Lots of things to do at home, I hope to have a peaceful and relaxing an productive weekend today and tomorrow. MrNG drove DS9 to athletism class, off for an errand with DS6.
TADAs
up, breakfast, showered, off the door in time
appt with doc, then got pill at pharmacist
washing machine is full and working for me
dishwasher is working too
TODO
decide what we eat for lunch (MrNG did the menu planning but there are "holes" in it)
decide if I buy or make a cake
things from the weekly to-do list
I hope to BBL to post tadas. I miss being able to post during the week.

Good morning, FFB, and wishing you a very
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
So sorry you're having a bad time with peri menopause. Fingers gets crossed these pills work - I've always been told to give things like that three months to see if they "suit" me. I think I stayed on Cerazette (progesterone only) until I was 50 ish, and felt fine, but then tried to see if I could manage without taking anything. Big mistake! All the symptoms came back with a vengeance, especially the hot flushes -they were sooo debilitating keeping me awake at night, and mentally I was a mess as well. The doctor then put me on Kliovance (a *very* low dose of both estrogen and progesterone) and that quickly made me feel "normal" again. I was fortunate and each time we found the "right" medication for me quickly, that suited me, but some ladies find it's a bit of trial and error, and need more of one drug or the other to keep their symptoms at bay, so don't be scared to go back if it's not working for you - it's your body, and you know it best!
BTW, I opted for pills, mostly for convenience, but also, if I had had patches then they would probably fall off at an inopportune moment, and then someone would pounce on it and eat it (meaning yet more vet bills!)

and with the gels there have been cases of people with pets discovering that the gel was absorbed by the pet when cuddling/ stroking etc , and has produced unwanted side effects in the animal, so I didn't want to risk that either. At least with pills they come in a container and I can keep them safely out of reach!
I'm up and showered, DH has left to help set up the stage for the forthcoming show at his amateur dramatic society (he's not in the show, but still feels he should help, especially as a close friend is in charge of of today's events.) I think I'm going to quickly tidy up and run the hoover round downstairs, and then get outstanding as my garden is calling me!

I totally get you on not feeling like celebrating birthdays, Frenchie - but wishing you a happy one anyway! Will your boys do something special for you? We kinda skipped mine this year, AGAIN! It somehow tends to fall on the week we are on our skiing vacation, and I get presents but that's it.
kittykatt, I was debating getting our garden furniture out, but it's supposed to get below zero the next two nights, so not yet. We did use the BBQ yesterday, though (and realized we were low on gas so it took forever)
I'm having my usual slow Saturday morning. I kinda would prefer to have a slow SUNDAY morning instead and to have Saturday productive, but I am way too tired after a work week for that. But I do remember the weekend cleaning challenges we used to do with Roo in the old times and then I would really get everything done on Saturday and have Sundays off. I was younger and we only had an apartment and no kids, so things have really changed since then. Not gonna have a relaxing Sunday this week, though - the twins have a birthday party to attend and I want to take DS and DBD to select a new carpet for DBD's room (we have a tentative plan to repaint it and put a new carpet there over Easter), and DS needs to new pants because he's grown so much and I don't want to order stuff online as he's very thin and I don't know what will fit. So that's gonna take tomorrow's afternoon and it means that what I want to get done, must be done today.
