I'll be in the conga line all day (look for my fruity hat!) so I hope I'll have company! Too many things on my list for today. When we ate out last night I did go on to the drugstore so I've crossed that off. Not all is a must do, but when planning for today this is what got jotted down:
errands:
---gas in the car'
---car wash
---post office, HOA mail + drop off package
---plant nursery, and I have a $25 gift card to use
---dry cleaners
also:
-HOA checks to write - at least five
-groceries, will have delivered this afternoon

I bet there's more. First up, a.m. routine and grocery order, including walking the impatient dog.

Dh has gone to his Rotary club meeting, then office. He has a funeral this afternoon so will come home to change before.

I’m trying to get in the conga line at the middle school. Parking is an adventure and I am hoping to get a better spot when the sixth grade parents start leaving. So far — nothing.

Running to catch up and jump into the conga line.

Today is my 6-month infusion therapy to treat osteoporosis. The treatment is a super simple almost painless shot in the back of the arm, but they treat it as if it was something major. Instead of going to the doctor's office for the shot, it has to be done at the hospital. Before giving the Prolia shot they will do blood work to make sure my calcium level is in acceptable range. Then I must sit for 15 minutes after the shot to make sure there is no reaction. Interesting note.... the price of this one shot is $1,875. plus the cost of being in the hospital. Thankfully we have good insurance that pays 100% of it.

After our dirty clothes mystery disappearance a few weeks ago, I ordered online several shirts and pants. There are 2 shirts that need to be returned due to being too big for DH. I will be doing that today while in the city.

Typically, I fill up SUV every time I am in the city. However, the Odessey is still showing almost full. I don't think it gets that great of gas mileage, so I am wondering if the gas gauge works. Hum....

Fresh produce, cold and frozen foods will be the focus for a Sam's shopping trip.

Need to eat my brunch and finish kitchen clean up and a.m. routine will be done. Then I'll head out for errands.

Dh came in and immediately started straightening/organizing the coffee cups. He has a lot of Yeti type tumblers he's brought home from where ever, I don't think he let any go, but the regular coffee cups are now accessible and neatened. Then he went to our closet, took out a basket of papers and stuff and sorted/decluttered, put away things. I think (hope!) he threw some things out. I was conga-ing around on a.m. routine and reminded him of the laundry in dryer - I had commented that when he works out four mornings a week there's a lot more laundry and he vowed that he "usually" folded whatever was in the dryer. I didn't call him on that, lol, but not true. So he's earned sitting in his chair I guess, lol!

Brunch and kitchen polish up, and I'm gone for errands.

We have been grocery shopping, but it was almost all meat, other than a package of buns and 2 small sodas for the drive home.

I have emptied the dishwasher and I will refill it before I leave for the Friday afternoon fibre group. Most of them knit things like socks.

We are having ribs for supper. Dh will be in charge of cooking them. Pre boiling and then putting on the BBQ.

We had a very loud thunderstorm last night. With a metal roof, neither one of us missed the middle-of-the-night light show. We got pummeled with rain. Dh loves when we have thunderstorms because they are good for the garden. We lost one tomato plant and one cucumber. The beans are starting to come up.

hello - just waving to say hello - we have had a whirlwind - mom got hurt at the nursing home - and they didn't take her over to the hospital even with 2 days of server, screaming, pain. she ended up being badly jaundiced and had to have a stent put in her and sludge taken out - gall stones, she also had very high ammonia levels that caused delirium - she stayed in the hospital for a week and a half.
She is now here in a hospital bed (after the nursing home we decided that it she was better here) We also have a stand machine, etc. to help us. Thank goodness she is tiny. We hired a helper today and she is lovely.
it's been very hard while she was in the nursing home - they wouldn't let her sleep for 4 days bc they wanted her to sleep at night - it made her sick.
we took turns at the hospital as well - so mom had someone there from 7:30 to 10 - 11 at night bc they couldn't keep up with her delirium.
now that the ammonia is down she is so much better.

having the helper is great bc I and dd's can do other things.
both dd's are here to help and we all take turns but the helper is giving us a huge relief.
she has PT twice a week and a nurse, that we know, twice a week and now we will have help 5 days a week for 8 hours a day

Good afternoon!

I never did make those chocolate chip cookies yesterday. Maybe today.

Chiming in a bit belatedly to the pantry discussion: Our house has an old pantry in the basement, with the original icebox! (It's too big to move out; I wonder if they put it in when it was just the foundation.) We don't use it as a pantry; it's pretty inconvenient and a bit grubby. Instead the bulk of our pantry is shelves put next to the open side of our basement stairs, which is a little less inconvenient. We don't have many cabinets in the kitchen. We do have a butler's pantry-style cabinet (complete with a little rack of cup hooks that pulls out), which we use to store mostly open, shelf-stable things: baking supplies, vinegars, open containers of pasta, etc. There's also a pull-out that we use less than efficiently; it has peanut butter in it, and some old cups, and I forget what else because I use it so seldom.

Glad to hear lucylee's DM is feeling better; sorry to hear of Rose's nose and household woes. (I really did not intend a poem there.)

So, today's conga -- I'm pretty sure I have an old 78 of Carmen Miranda singing the Chiquita Banana song. I can't play it because there is a large radio on top of the turntable -- anyhow:

I have already put in some time on payroll, though not much. I had a couple of documents that had been fixed that I needed to OK; I sent an email to say I had a doctor's appointment and wouldn't be at the next project meeting, and I worked a little on the side project.

So, up next:
• Make lunch ASAP (actually, I will get it started before finishing this post -- there, into the toaster oven so I might have a chance to eat it before taking DD to work)
• Eat lunch
• Take DD to work
• Exercise
• Do at least some of the dishes (DH did not do yesterday's dinner dishes, so I've got those in addition to breakfast and soon to be lunch.)
• Start a load of wash
• Work on figuring out new alarms for the summer, since I won't have to take DC to class or, shortly, DD to work

I think that will keep me busy for a while. In the conga spirit, I will start one of the streaming audio channels going, though I imagine when I leave to take DD, DC will come down and change it.
