Today's the day. If it's been put off several times, getting it done today should be automatic, huh?

I have a lot of small anti-procrastination tasks for today, since we're going out of town tomorrow a.m.

Already done:
-returned small stamp to upstairs stamping desk, it came downstairs last week stuck to a card or envelope and it's been stuck to my computer so I won't lose it
-got out recycling, including recycling from my upstairs room. Trash came down yesterday.
-ordered and received small instacart order, including eggs for my brunch

To do:
-finish plants in backyard, a tomato and herb into the ground, including protection from ddog digging
-go by vet this afternoon to pick up a new Seresto collar for ddog. Hers is lost, I've given it enough time to turn up...
-Write and mail HOA check, mail another, drop off one
-watch webinar that is "homework" before the workshop that I'm attending on Friday. Looks like that's about an hour
-check with neighbors for someone to walk ddog during the day on Thursday (ddog sitter works until six p.m.)
-write a sentiment and mail card for grand niece
-gas up and wash my car, which we are taking
-clean travel CPAP

I'm sure there's more. Not all are anti procrastination but they're all nice to get done before we leave in the a.m.

We were fine in storms last night. I watched a local TV station off and on while they talked about tornados/storms in AL (not so far from here) but we were fine. DMillie was much alarmed by thunder and lightening and wanted to snuggle and be comforted.

First up is cooking up an omelet for protein and finishing a.m. routine.

Good morning!

I am in catch-up mode today. My focus and attention has been pulled away by priorities which meant some daily to-do's have been neglected.

I am also in countdown mode to the end of school. Only one more morning of being diligent to make sure DD13 is woken up, delivered to school with all the things she needs and then picked up at the end of the school day. I am going to hope for the best tomorrow. I will be taking DS16 for his surgery before DD13 goes to school. DH is sure that he is capable of driving DD13 to school and getting her there on time. I'm hoping for a good mental day for DH tomorrow. Worst case scenario is DD13 will have to walk a mile. I should be back in town by the time she gets out of school.

SHE card status-
14 Completed
23 Due Today

LadyM, it always feels so great when school's out. Fewer routines, more relaxed.

Breakfast done, I also have a zoom meeting at 12:30. I'm going to see how much I can get done before then.

The guys seem to have the sink fixed. HRH washed up all the dishes (lots) last evening and nothing has sprung leaks yet. He says eventually he will put things back under there, but not for a while, lol.

Today ddolder took me to appt with my "team" and it is possible this was the last one with this group, except for injections every week for a while. She and I were both so relieved when I didn't need any blood products today, at least. Fri, possibly.

We spent time with these nurses trying to learn more about everything that happens NEXT week. Tuesday procedure is a little nail-biting. I may be getting some meds and have "twilight" anesthesia. Will be expected to wear a gown. Ddolder has changed her schedule to go with me for that, and I'm glad I'll have a daughter there for changing clothes. Rest of week is crowded but the only real hardship is one incredibly early appt before daylight Thurs. No valet then and parking will be far away.

Dd26 got sick on her trip to NY conference. Maybe the event, maybe the airplane flight. She and dsonil can't be around me until later in the week.

blessed, thinking of your household and family.

(((Harriet, family & medical team))) Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I took DH to get a haircut and give the vehicle its first wash. I spent time in the garden center next to the hair cut place. My garden is over crowded already but did that stop me from bringing home more flowers to plant? ....I think we all know the answer to that question.

Bed linens have received their weekly care.

Next up .....tackle dirty dishes in teenage boy bedroom. DS16 has so many great character traits, is always kind and respectful to us and is making mostly good decisions. However, he could be a potential winner if there was a contest for the biggest teenager slob. I try to remind myself to pick my battles carefully. I can MAKE him keep a clean bedroom but that doesn't put the decision on him. I want him to take ownership. In the meantime,.....I'm taking a wagon load of dirty dishes out of his bedroom while reminding him that if he keeps doing this then he is going to be sleeping with cockroaches

Thank you for the update Harriet, on both the sink and the procedure. Glad the sink seems resolved!

I'm not going to get through what I need to do if I don't get moving. I'm setting alarm for BOTH to work until :15 after on the listed stuff. Also on the list is to look for BCG pin - exclusive pin I can wear as CG. I went online just now and ordered a new one ($15) in case mine doesn't show up, and the Exec Director will bring it to me in Louisville!
