Here we go swaying, with a swish and a swipe, and hopefully something to capture tossables.
To quote blessed, we may be doing "the swish and swipe waltz".
Or, perhaps it is some obvious footprints that are guiding us in a new "step" around the house, on a PUPA conga line?
No matter the pace, it's always good to bear that first-of-the-weekend moment in mind. With some free time for potential visitors over the next few days, does your household have a focus on preparing for incoming company?

Hi!!
Thank you for the fabulous start to our Friday Harriet!!
I was up before the dawn with a slight stomach ache. Turns out that maybe I was just a tiny bit hungry as a cup of tea and a yogurt did the trick. Now I'm having another cup of tea. Dh is having his coffee.
I cleaned the microwave while I was waiting for dh's coffee to brew.
There is a very bright yellow orb in the eastern sky! We haven't seen in for most of the week. I do know one thing... the gardens don't need to be watered today. We had 3 ducks in our back yard yesterday. We've never seen that before.
Unfortunately I need to go to Costco today. UGH! Friday at Costco is almost as bad as Saturday or Sunday. I need one thing which is very close to the front of the store. Dh suggested a Costco chicken for tonight. I guess I'll pick one up. I can reheat it later with some Butter Chicken sauce and I'll make Basmati or Jasmine rice. (Whichever one I've got.)

Good morning
Coming here to find SHE friends posting makes my day better.
DS16 made it through the night without problems. I checked on him a couple times during the night to make sure he wasn't lying on the side of his face. He intends to go without opioids pain meds today and just use ibuprofen. And he wants to go to work. The surgeon said to take a couple days off work after surgery; however real life tells me that sitting in a self-driving tractor will be less stress and physical activity than demanding that he take the day off. He will be sitting in an air ride custom air-conditioned cab (big tractor) in the middle of a wide-open pasture so I think he will be okay. Otherwise, he would just spend the day pacing & wanting to do something.
We are OTD in 30 minutes to take DD13 to her appt for brain testing.

Good morning!
DH and I had our dinner out last night. He opted for a closer outpost of a diner we had gone to after a friend's concert. The original is about 45 minutes from our house; the closer location is about 30 minutes away. Unfortunately, the closer one only does breakfast and lunch, and we didn't think to check before going. So there we were, half an hour from home, wondering where we should go. Then we noticed that a restaurant we had gone to for my DB's b'day was not far from there (yay fancy car with a map on the console!), so we went there. A little fancier/pricier than we had planned -- I would have changed clothes from my t-shirt and stained sweater if I knew that was where we'd end up -- but it wasn't too loud to talk, and the food was great.
He thinks we should talk to the kids separately about their plans for the future -- for DD, find out how the job search is going and whether or not she has reconciled herself to the concept of having a full-time "day job" and is looking for things not necessarily in the art field. For DC, find out how they did this semester, how far along they are to their degree, and whether they are off academic probation and can register for more than two classes a semester. (That last thing has been a killer.)
He wants to see them each cooking one dinner a week; I'd like to see them doing more of the wash. And we've got to make cleaning a summer project. But I forgot to talk about vehicles -- they need to finish up their licenses, but when they do, what will they drive? We've got DFIL's old car in our garage. DH thinks it just needs a battery, but I think it needs more because it has been sitting so long. I think we should talk to the mechanic to see what he thinks. (Shame we don't have LadyM's DS here!) And do we want to look for another used car -- the kids can't afford it now, but if we wait until they've earned the money, who knows how high the tariffs will have caused prices to go up? I imagine it will be like it was during Covid with the high cost of new cars driving the cost of used cars up.
Like Cathy, we are seeing the sun after an absence, but it's still chilly here. I don't think I'd care for the 86° Nancy is expecting tomorrow, but I'd take the 71° today!
I hope DD's appointment goes well, LadyM, and gives you some answers, or at least points you in the right direction.
Harriet, I'm glad you were feeling well enough to start us off today. Will it be a conga or a waltz for you?
Time to go upstairs to the bathroom and then downstairs to the wash. I guess I'll be getting some steps in.

Waving hello to y’all…
Went to class then my coffee gathering. Home for lunch and now am ready to start folding laundry. After that I need to start emptying my pantry and the top of my island.
Easy but busy work

Costco wasn't too bad. I got a spot near the cart area. The line up to get out seemed long, but then it branched off to all the cashiers. I think I was in and out of the store in less than 30 minutes. The woman in front of me paid over $500 for her order. I have no idea what cost so much, other than a filet of salmon being almost $50.
Chicken is in the fridge. I am on the way to Fibre Friday. I think there might be a stop along the way.

Cue the
Celebration song!
I am in celebration mode.
Homeschool is DONE!
Public School and awards ceremony is DONE!
I had a bad fall and recovered with no lasting effects.
DD13 two medical appt and three pharmacy trips are DONE!
DS16 surgery and ice packs are DONE!
It has been a challenging week, but it is over and TIME TO CELEBRATE!
>>>>>>>later
I enjoyed relaxing for the rest of that hour then decided to move my body some.
** Kettle ball exercises done outside
** Peppers gathered. The plants are so young and small, but they insist on growing peppers.
** Embroider project decision made. I am just not interesting in doing embroider right now. I decided to put it away and wait until I am inspired.

hello all!
I haven't been able to be here but thinking of all of you- I had my pom pom's and have done a lot of cheering for you!!!
It's been a rough go here - especially for mom but a lot of stress for all of us.
mom came home from the hospital (2nd time) after having a stent put in for her gallbladder and then she turned yellow again. We were fast on getting a blood test and she had to go back in the hospital again bc her bilirubin jumped. it turned out that her stent dislodged and went into her bile duct. She came home yesterday evening (after her third visit) -5 days in the hospital again. (stent is fixed). She looked really bad last night but today looks better.
oh my goodness, she is a terrible patient.

great with drs. and staff but she is like a stubborn toddler to us.
holding her mouth shut tight when she is supposed to have her meds or water - I am getting used to the evil eye
waving to all of you!!!hope all is well!
