yesterday mom was awake until 9 pm - she was good all day - outside in the garden with us - ate three meals which is huge- with it etc. until 7:30 ish

- I should have put her to bed earlier but she didn't want to go - the switch had already turned. she spit at dd younger, when helping her with her meds and dd younger and dd older - thank Goodness - are so patient and kind - they just let it go - we had to work together to get her up to go to the bathroom to change her and get her to bed bc she will fight all of us - she will tell us that she will bite us; but with me lifting her on one side and dd younger lifting her on the other side and dd older lifting her to the Sara steady is a fast process. The dead weight is hard for one bc she will bite or pinch in these situations.

we have to watch for the glazing over.

Once she fell asleep for about a half hour; she woke up and remembered nothing. amazing! back to normal! . chatting away. easily moved around. dd younger was able to give her the night time meds at that point and mom even asked to go to the bathroom.

it's so fascinating how her thinking changes.

She is up and happy right now!

Good morning!

I am wondering where I will wander around today. With nothing on the calendar, I have options!

As I complete each one, I am checking off SHE cards that are important enough track. I am doing TOTH challenges with myself while enjoying the simple things.

((((Blessedw2)))) You are doing difficult things. I'm glad you have moments to share with your DMom when she is thinking clearly.

Home from dr appointment - I "graduated" today! No need to go back for follow up unless I have trouble with it. Doc said today that he threw everything at it - surgery, bone grafts, a plate that remains in, a rod to internally immobilize it for three months and got a good results. I don't have original mobility back but I can do most things, with the exception of putting it flat on the floor like I was going to do a push up, or supporting me in a kneeling position.

Turns out A and V's family from Birmingham is here, so we'll all be hanging out together. I'll stop at grocery for some already cut up watermelon. Dh is meeting me there since he went to the office this morning.

(For those new, I fell in Amsterdam and shattered my wrist in April 2024. Flew home the next day, surgery two days after, again three weeks after, again last August. So it's been a long haul.)

Delighted for you, Twins' Mom! You went through a lot and worked hard to make sure you handled this well. Sounds like a success for your doctor, too. I'm sure your family is so pleased.

Some Desk Day. More of that is Next Up.

We've gotten groceries put away. Laundry going. General puttering. Healthy lunch with beans, rice, corn.

A lot of the fruit is very under-ripe. That's disappointing, but (Wondering) maybe it will ripen here well. Eventually, I'll go to grocery stores again and scrutinize everything, being picky!

Twins - That is great news! I am happy for you and the medical team to have such a good outcome.

Only 15 SHE cards remain to be done. I can see daylight at the end of the tunnel. :)
11 daily

Hi!

I was up way too early again. Darn cats think a lighter sky means it must be time to get the heck outside as soon as we can wake up a human!!

I have unloaded the dishwasher. I also took out the kitchen garbage. Those were the only things I had marked down that I really wanted to do today.

I have a dish rack full of dh's pots and pans from Sunday to still put away.

I have been watching a lot of reels on FBook and getting news for Canada, the USA and a few other places. Spending too much time at the computer today. We had internet issues last night, so I was on the couch for a few hours with dh. He made popcorn and we both went to bed far earlier than usual.

It's very windy here today. Hundreds of roses should be blooming some day in the near future from 2 rose bushes that aren't in an optimum viewing location. They are between the fence to the south and the back of the shed. Mostly hidden by the wood pile. That's okay. I took a lot of pictures on my phone. I will look at them in the winter and enjoy my garden year round!
