What do you really have to get done today? Is there something that needs your attention immediately?

Last week I totally forgot to put the compost and recycling at the end of the driveway. Today there are 2 bags of recycling and a very heavy compost bin. Because I didn't want the compost bin to be any heavier, the litter boxes also need to be cleaned today. Garbage is also out, along with a bag from the freezer. I forget who gave me this tip, but I keep a kitchen garbage bag in the freezer in the summertime and I put "dirty" garbage in there, like meat trays. They have been rinsed but they still attract flies so they go into the bag in the freezer.

I also loaded the dishwasher and it's going.

The kettle has boiled so it's time for my hot tea and also time for some cross stitch.


Later today I need to cut the grass strip behind our neighbour's house. They are going to be busy with a tent being erected and rental tables and chairs being set up and the rental bathroom also being delivered, so I will get that strip cut today so grass clippings don't get blown into their yard tomorrow. Just in time for their party, the farmer cut the alfalfa in the field behind us last night. I hope he isn't planning on doing anything on Saturday during the party.

We have walked 1st some thing I change up this week and in the hotter months in summer.
Did roll up hoses to mow later.
Glad to be feeling better today.
Painted the top of the desk 2nd coat is drying now.
Trash got taken out.
Some journaling done.
Had a bfast bar & dev. egg. Juice now.

Re-learned how to change up wall paper on my phone after pushing the wrong button and some thing
not in season that I did not like was on it now I have a flag for today & tomorrow and will
change it back to my fav. after that now that I know I can! LOL!

Morning…

Went to weight training class
Laundry day has started
Need to do desk work
Getting my nails done later
Nasal surgery scheduled for Aug 9th

I overslept, forgot to set the alarm but was up in time to do the required straightening up for dcleaning lady. She's doing her magic now and I brought my breakfast upstairs. Dh has been out to workout and he's gone after groceries. I'm trying to keep him out of her way - he was going back and forth taking some of his things from the garage upstairs.

I have a workout at two, and at six-thirty we're invited to dinner at the fancy country club with a coworker of dh - as a celebration of retirement. Nothing planned for tomorrow for now. And Saturday is packing. Such a short trip, it hardly seems worth it but it's what dh wanted to do.

Dh just called - he can't find the Publix "sleep aid" 25 mg generic Benadryl. Took a photo of it on instacart with it available and sent to him. It's probably because he's looking for a bottle not a box. But he won't ask anyone, lol!

I have mowed in the back yard. Front does not need it.
Water is set now timer is on.
Got some journaling questions.
Took Rx.

Getting ready to head to workout next.

Spent some time stitching and then some time reading out on the patio. Dh had to take a dead battery back to our supplier, so we went to McD's for lunch. They had a new "burger" thing he wanted to try. He disliked it from the second bite. He rarely goes to the Arches, so no surprise there.

So we had a drive and lunch. Now it's time for our naps.

I feel like I won the creative award today AND got to mess with the teens. WIN!! WIN!!

We were all sitting around chatting and I asked if they had any suggestion for food to cook today. Their suggestions were repeat of the same-oh food (spaghetti, chicken parm with spaghetti, mac & cheese, etc). I told them I had a couple pounds of hamburger meat thawed and was trying to think of something to prepare with it. They suggested making cheeseburgers. I replied "We don't have any hamburger buns, but we do have a dozen hot dog buns. I can make wiener shaped hamburger patties and put them in the hot dog buns"
OMG. The teens were stunned and said that it couldn't be done. They suggested that it would be weird to have cheeseburgers in hot dog buns.
Guess what I am making today.
Making memories!.....and hotdog shaped hamburgers.

LadyM last night my dh was showing me FBook reels of various hamburgers on hotdog buns, including a hotdog wrapped in hamburger meat and then grilled and served on hot dog buns. As far as I am concerned, it's jut a hamburger but it's in a long rectangle shape.

Dh and I both had naps. Now I am making shake'n'nake chicken drumsticks for supper.
