Good morning! What tasks have been put off in your household? Whether through choice, aversion, or lack of time to follow through, we all have those jobs hanging over us. Today is a chance to be aware, tackle, and wrestle them through to completeness. And celebrate!4
Procrastination:
“The voluntary delay of an intended course of action despite expecting to be worse off for the delay.” - Timothy Pychyl

Hi!
Dh's BFF is coming over today at some point to look at dh's computer.
I need to clean all 3 litter boxes.
I need to spot mop.
I would like to vacuum. It's a job that needs to be done when all the cats are outside.
I would like to clean up the kitchen. There are too many things on the island.
I need to load the dishwasher and turn it on.
Bathroom garbage needs to be taken out.
Kitchen garbage should be taken out.
Books need to get moved into the library.

Dmassage therapist has cancelled for today - he is seeing a dentist this a.m. instead on an emergency basis. That means today is the biggest block of time I have between now and our departure on Saturday a.m. I've gotten my list down to what needs to be done before we can leave, not the other "nice to do stuff." If I can knock some of that out also, it's all good.
Perhaps the "eat a worm" job is the HOA accounting work so I'm starting there for now.

My anti procrastination achievement technically happened yesterday evening, but I got the reply this morning, so I'm counting it.

I've been putting off ringing the caterers to book them for our parish Christmas lunch, as there seemed to be so many complications that *had* to be correct and I was worried about errors creeping in with spelling etc over the phone (especially the name and email address of the church treasurer, who pays all the invoices ) until I finally revisited the website and found there was a "contact us" page, with an option to send a message. So, yesterday evening, I wrote everything out in a logical order, checked the spelling etc, and sent it!
This morning I had a charming email in reply, confirming my booking .

And I now have a contact who I can email if I have any queries, or if we need to add more servings to the booking, if it is unexpectedly popular!
So I'm calling it a win for today.

Dh's BFF called. He lives an hour away. He called to let dh know he was on the way.
2 litter boxes have been done. Back hall fully mopped.
3 stacks of books moved off of island and into library.
Bathroom garbage taken out.
Living room mopped in the high traffic area between couch/sofa and kitchen doorway.
Microwave got wiped out/cleaned the glass thing. (I've been procrastinating on this for a while)
I need to get dressed to shoes and brush my hair so I don't scare him too much.
Bed has been made.
Dh and I have both had something to eat.
Dishwasher is going and stove is cleared off. The sink has some stuff in it under the soap bubbles. It looks a lot better than a pile of dirty things with no soapy water.

Good morning!
I don't know if I will have time to finish this post before I have to take DC to school, but I have a few minutes free now, so I figured I'd give it a start.
I was going to say that your list looks simultaneously like a little and a lot, Cathy, but you seem to be making quick work of it.
I'm glad you're able to make good use of that block of time, Twins.
Kittykatt, I'd call it a win, too!
Dinner is in the crockpot (since it is Wednesday and not Tuesday). I have roused DC and checked on them, but they haven't shown their face downstairs yet. I'll give it a couple more minutes. I need to leave a bit early today; my gas gauge is low, and I'm worried I may need to stop for gas on the way.
Did not get the files uploaded yesterday; will have to scan the last of them when I get back and get it all uploaded.
Things I've been procrastinating on:
DH's shirts
grocery list
clean the bathroom
I doubt I will get them all done today, but I can hope.

OMGoodness, that guy has a lead foot...
I was in the bedroom pulling a t shirt over my head and he pulled into the driveway!
Floors are all done, toilet got s/s. hair is brushed. Stove is wiped off. House looks and smells clean. He has been here many, many times, but he's the only person that ever comes inside since last year.

Hello, bw2! Waving frantically!
I got through reconciling the HOA accounts, filing August work, writing three needed checks, and entering transactions for EFT stuff later in the month. So I'm up to date now. After Rosh Hashanah I have a check to print and mail, not due until 2 October but it's entered and I just need to go print it. HA. Go print it. I'm using new checks for the first time and needed to align them to print in right spots. I keep making mistakes - I just can't seem to go from start to finish w/o making errors. Luckily I can fix them but it all takes time.
I am meeting a gal nearby at a fast food place at 1 p.m. to sell the Silhouette and stuff. Need to bring it downstairs. And while I'm out I'll check the P.O. box for the HOA. I don't anticipate receiving anything for which I'd need to write a check or enter right away. I should also drop off an Amazon return while I'm out.
I called about CPAP stuff, I'm thinking if I can get what I need I need to get it from the business I've been using even tho they're terrible and they must be in financial trouble... Gal said she would call me later if she has my stuff.
I need to eat my brunch and wipe down kitchen counters.
