Sept. 11th -
thoughts and prayers for all!
I am a person who can easily fall off my routines - and if I don't watch out; I will completely fall off the system that helps me keep my life in order.
I am trying to stay on my card file so that when days like today come up then I have a non thinking system in place.
how are you doing?
HOW ARE YOU BASICS GOING: DISHES, DUDS, DINNER, DAILIES?
WHAT ARE YOU BASICS?
waving to all of you.
you have got this!
routines - how is that going? Take that Thursday!!! SEPT. 11, PWYC

THINKING OF YOU D TWINS
My cards are set for today even though today will be up in the air!
dd younger is in the hospital and no longer has her appendix. sweet girl never complains about pain - her pain tolerance bc of her CRPS is very high. For her to say that she was in pain, like that, was a lot for her.
Mom's caretaker called in sick today
it will be an interesting day!
. dd older visited dd younger this morning and stayed with dd younger all afternoon. My brother will be here to stay with mom when she naps at 12:30 pm. I knew he was coming in and it's great.
I cancelled the cleaning company - brother will be here when they come and if mom is awake it will be hard for both of them.
Today:
DISHES
DINNER?
LAUNDRY
WATER GARDEN
MOM
Home blessing?
get ready for dd younger
EXTRA PUT AWAY AND DOGS

Re: routines - how is that going? Take that Thursday!!! SEPT. 11, PWYC
my routines are moving slow -
mom I showered her
she stood with Sara steady and washed her dishes after breakfast
she took her dirty cloths with the wheel chair - and me to put on the top of washer
she brushed her hair
she ate her own breakfast
cleaned up after herself
I guide her one step at a time - but for mom this has been great!
I even had her put her plate in the cupboard
she put straws in a container

Good morning
Blessed - Thank you for starting us off today. ((((Gentle Hugs))) for your DD as she recovers from surgery.
The mental fog from feeling emotionally overwhelmed is starting to lift. I’m giving myself grace by prioritizing the must-do's and being okay with letting everything else go.
Must do's:
- Take care of myself physically and maintain healthy habits.
- Drive DD14 to and from school. Last night's bath and hair washing trip was a success.
- Ensure DS17's homeschooling is completed and respond to his frequent phone calls.
- Monitor DH. He is currently doing well with minimal concerns, but past experience shows this can change suddenly.
After getting DD14 from school I will take DS17 to his followup doctor appt to get results of his blood work. This is the final well child appointment for him. Next year he will be 18 years old and no longer considered a child.
Correction. I just looked at our insurance coverage and they cover well child appointments until age 21

Re: routines - how is that going? Take that Thursday!!! SEPT. 11, PWYC
Hello to all on this "Nine Eleven" anniversary. HRH was remembering holding a strict meeting of all the supervisors at the food plant, teaching how to share the news calmly and authorizing that any employee who needed to go home was allowed. The Bosnian refugees who worked there at the time experienced PTSD, needed a lot of reassurance, but no one actually left the plant.
LadyM, that's such a good thing for ds. I remember that it meant so much to us to discover that our ds was covered under HRH's insurance until 21, because he took that awful fall at age 20 (19?) and needed foot surgery. Had he financially ventured out on his own at that point in life so soon after high school, he would not have had the solid long-time coverage in place.
((blessed's ddyounger)) and family
Feel better fast!
So glad the day is going well, blessed.
Ping-pong. We've been out to HRH's appt, then home with an odd amount of time, then out again to my mammogram and back. New doctor for me, but she is a smart one - opened the door after reading and sing-songed, "everything's fine" as her first words.
We have been amazed through the day to have had almost no waiting time anywhere, but it was still kinda frustrating to have to go home and then start back out again. We ordered a small grocery order after getting home - we've walked and walked today and the parking lots are hot.
So far, HRH's shirts have not arrived. Certainly hope they are not waylaid.
Able to post about my creative sidetracking in A, C and N thread. Some is practical stuff.
routines - how is that going? - my cards well in place, too, especially since revisiting and posting about them in Cardfile Central lately.

Re: routines - how is that going? Take that Thursday!!! SEPT. 11, PWYC
Just waiting for 5 p.m. so I can make tonight's "supper". Dh will be having cream of mushroom soup (from a can) and then I will make grilled cheese for both of us.
Not much new here. I've been reading on and off all day (again) and I've dealt with all the compost/garbage/recycling.
I think paying full price for books that I don't have a gift card will come to a screeching halt as of today. I went to get a book and the CDN price was $52. Not happening.

Has anyone here gone to the "International Plowing Match"?
This year it's in Grassie, Ontario. It starts next Tuesday. The landfill that dh and I go to is across the street from the entrance to the IPM. Today the local roads have all had the speeds reduced and signs erected regarding traffic delays in the area.
There are 2 massive fields with temporary trailer parking. I think there will be lots of people going into local restaurants, etc.
IF you have gone, let me know what to expect. Dh and I won't actually be going, but we will possibly be affected by high traffic volumes, etc.

Cathy, can you get the kindle edition? Those are usually less expensive and bonus, then don't take up shelf space. I read on my iPad, iPhone or Kindle (only at the beach with Kindle - easy to read in the sun.)
I am on the mend. A nap yesterday and today, I didn't get out today to beach or pool, unfortunately. Tomorrow is last day here, we head home on Saturday.
