Happy Sunday!
It's raining, which kinda interferes with DH's plan to pick the apples today, but I am sure he will manage

My plans are more of the indoor type, so I won't be affected. By now, it's obvious I should just give up on the garden for the year! I can never get any vegetables. This year, not even the staples like salads or tomatoes. I only have this little veggie patch, but it's in shade (the garden architect did not plan on our neighbours having 8 feet tall wall of thujas right next to it, and I think the roots are actully growing in the patch too. Plus, we have very heavy clay soil, which ain't helping either - for the life of me, I can never get the easiest stuff like radishes get bigger than barbie food! But we have fruit, plenty of it, so there's that.
Dogged, very interesting post yesterday! Yes, being thin and sporty is the new sign of "well off". I was kinda looked down from the lady at Estee Lauder shop when I was buying my perfume on Friday - yes, it's a very expensive one, but just because I have an overweight mumsy look, doesn't mean I am not a top-paid professional who can easily afford it! My problem is kinda genetic - I'm the kind of person who will survive hungry years easily because I can work hard and eat little and still not lose weight. Back when I was a size 8, it meant several fasting days each month, grapefruits for lunches and cottage cheese for dinner and gym 5 times per week. That's not really doable with four kids and a job and the high level of stress that raising special needs kids brings.
And off to bed with you!
kittykatt, it's a pitty we couldn't do Eyjafjallajökull volcano this week! There was a running joke back in 2010 (when its eruption caused airspace closure in most of Europe) that it was the volcano's revenge for people mispronouncing its name!
Frenchie, the one bonus of kids playing online is that they don't make mess when they do! I mean, I always support lego playing and crafting and such, but am not so fond on the clean-up and the constant "but that's my art project and I want it displayed!"

Good luck on the job, you may not get it if you apply, but you are certain to not get it if you don't!
