Audrey Justine Tautou (French: [odʁɛ ʒystin totu]; born 9 August 1976) is a French actress. She made her acting debut at age 18 on television, and her feature film debut in Venus Beauty Institute (1999), for which she received critical acclaim and won the César Award for Most Promising Actress.

Tautou achieved international recognition for her lead role in the 2001 film Amélie, which was critically acclaimed and a major box-office success. She has since appeared in films in a range of genres, including the thrillers Dirty Pretty Things (2002) and The Da Vinci Code (2006), and the romantic comedy Priceless (2006). She was acclaimed for her role in the World War I drama A Very Long Engagement (2004), and for her portrayal of French fashion designer Coco Chanel in the biographical drama Coco avant Chanel (2009). She has been nominated three times for the César Award and twice for the BAFTA for Best Actress in a leading role. In June 2004, she became one of the few French actors invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).

Tautou has modeled for Chanel, Montblanc, L'Oréal and many other companies.

Today I need to be OTD early to take Fred to the vet for his bloods under sedation. "His" vet has very sensibly decided to take this week off as annual leave, but the vet we are seeing has dealt with him before, so knows what to expect!!!

House tasks: Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge? Can this wait until next year when we get the house painted when a roof ladder will be in place?) I need for it to stop raining before I ask anyone to come and look!

Sort out cabinet that wobbles - does the back need some sort of bracing ?
Fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. Dneighbour R2 may fix? He's done it!
Fix dripping kitchen tap (new washer ?)- DF E has given me the phone number of her plumber . I think DF CW also has a plumber she is happy with?
Take up and hem those thick winter curtains for the kitchen
Book eye test for me
Find picture hanging equipment for DH
Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP I am now working on 2024
Think about setting up Guardianship for F,J and M - looked on Cats' Protection, I need their microchip numbers, approximate DOB, colour and markings and useful information about them. Bookmark link with local recommended solicitors (also ask DF CW?)
Change health centres to the one nearest us? On hold ATM , but I'll leave it on my list so I don't forget.

Reorganise office WIP DH still needs to deal with a crate of "stuff" He's just about done, although there is a crate of "stuff" in the garage which needs his attention - I've picked out a few things that need to come up to the house! I've managed to fit everything in the cupboard -It needs a good sort out and tidy.

Good morning/ good afternoon, L.Ann, Bama a d Helia.

I hope the dental appointment is such and painless, L.Ann.

Bama, today's vet is still part of the practice, so has met Fred before and heard all about him, (and heard him swearing at everyone when he's taken still in his carrier to the back office!) but hasn't actually had to be "hands on" with him before. Fortunately, she is very conscientious and understanding, and listened well and made sensible suggestions this morning. ( The actual locum who is filling for D while he is in holiday is not having Freddie inflicted on upon her - everyone wants her to come back tomorrow and continue filling in!)

A small service for your DMum can still be very special, Helia. A good idea to have caterers, as it's one less thing for you to think about.

Freddie is back home and having tucked into a plate of food ( they don't usually offer him food after his sedation, as the last time someone tried, he attacked them. ) I had the phone call to come and collect him at 10.15 am - the earliest yet. This mew system we have for him means that he gets done quickly and then sent home as soon as it's safe, so he (and everyone else!) gets a lot less stressed.

His preliminary results are back, and his bloods were all normal this time. However, his urine sample showed a small amount of protein, so that's gone to the lab for further analysis to hopefully find out the cause. (Most likely are UTI or bladder crystals, high blood pressure, or very early kidney disease that doesn't show up in the bloods yet. Or even possibly Just One Of Those Things.) We should get the lab results and a treatment plan, if any is required, tomorrow or Thursday.

In between chauffeuring Fred back and forth from the vet I've worked in my garden, s it's not raining today. This afternoon, I really need to do some housework!
