Try Easier Thursday!

I heard this from one of the baseball guys last night during the game. "Sometime you have to try easier instead of harder." They were saying this after the catcher walked out to the pitcher and had a few words after a wild pitch. Whatever he said, it worked. The wild pitches stopped and the pitcher stayed in for quite a while longer and struck out 12 players on the other team and his team went on to win the game.

Are there times that you need to step back, relax, settle down and not try as hard?

Sometimes we just have to sit back and let things play out. Relax and let things happen without trying to "fix" those around us.

Dh told me he's doing an oil change on both vehicles today AND he's putting my winter tires on earlier than necessary because he just wants to get all these things done. He's also fretting about getting the mower removed from the lawn tractor and getting the snow blower attachments put on. He needs to take this somewhere, which involves making an appointment. He also wants me to go to Walmart first thing in my car while he does the truck, so I can get the car home and take the truck and do whatever else needs doing. I need to go to Costco for a few things. (Picturing myself pushing out an cart full of stuff with my wallet being a lot lighter after that!) He also wants to "stock up" on meat tomorrow morning.

I have taken the recycling to the end of the driveway. Now it's time to take out the compost. All 3 cats are outside. It just started to rain.

During the game last night I cleaned 2 litter boxes. I also loaded the dishwasher and turned it on. Now I have to unload it.

Hi, Cathy and all. I'm trying easier by not fretting over the day and just doing whatever the next thing is I'm told to do. The procedure at my blood draw has completely changed today, seeming to cause long line. Oh well, I'm going with the flow.

Got a get well card in the mail this morning so a little bit of productivity happened before leaving for the day

Just trying to coast one through today. A trip out to a vintage/antique mall type place with booths, and I'll work out this afternoon. And dinner in tonight - will order out, however, minimize cooking and clean up.

I went to Costco. They weren't too busy and there were lots of parking spots. Picked up dh's glasses on the way home. Went to the bank as well AND I dropped off yarn at a friend's place.

Dh did the oil change on his truck.

I like that d cathy! thank you for sharing!!!

I find when I fight to do/complete things etc. then I am frustrated and things don't fall into place. (the work becomes an uphill battle).
how nice that your dh is taking care of the winter tires.
yay on your work!

d harriet hope there isn't too long of a line for bloodwork -
I am going to try easier by not fretting over the day as well -lol I will try 8-)
(I am trying to be mindful of my trying to push through the day instead of the natural flow of things)

have a wonderful day!!!!
