It's more important than ever to keep up this time of the year. What are some of those little, nagging type tasks you can knock out today? If they've been on a list more than a few days, or swimming about in your head with "I should" attached, how about choosing today for completion? You'll sleep better tonight!

I needed this one today thanks for the start Twins
UP at 3:15 ack!
I've put ch. pumpkin bread in the basement freezer so I would not eat it! LOL!
Moved two not Christmas vases out of sight.
Swept leaves.
swept & mopped the main bathroom yea!
These were the top few things for me that I was putting off.
I still need to get my prayer journaling but one page of whining was enough for 1st thing lol!
I've had two cups of black coffee.
Bs was up dang!
Not getting my way today.
A bit sniffly.
Glad to say I got two small projects to the half way point last evening.
I'm less sore today as well.
-----
Okay I've decided and bit the bullet order placed for two kinds of sock yarn
.
Also a used book on sock knitting for inspiration.
I've done socks before but they were not the right size or weight of yarn.
Let the learning begin.

d twins thank you so much for starting us!!! I am so grateful!
I had to laugh because I thought and thought and thought (I felt like Winnie the Pooh) of how to start today! I have been up at 5:10 am and spent almost an hour and a half trying to find a way to start my day being witty and positive. After time trying to find an ingenious beginning to my morning my brain realized it was still tired
- I looked up funny items such as house cleaning fitness - there is such a thing - (I love how they are always done by very young people - lunge forward and step back as you mop, pick up laundry basket and move it here and there. lol could you imagine my neighbors looking in). Then I looked up poetry for anti procrastination -

not that inspiring or funny. I even looked up witty synonyms

I finally realized I am still tired and I woke too early!
When I saw your post - All I could think was
"Thank Goodness for d Twins"
thank you for starting us!!!

LOL, bw2. No need to be witty, just positive! Some mornings I'm exactly where you are though, trying to think of something new and different.
I need some anti procrastination today. I have a box that needs to go back to Home Depot as a return, need to get to post office, need to figure out dress for Friday night still. Yesterday I got done with the DAR app for now, and spent some time reviewing old research trying to get a "handle" on what needs doing next. Frustrating process because I'd like to figure out where this guy came from, either in VA or TN, and I feel like there are some leads to pursue, but none have been productive so far.
I also stamped a little, need to make a birthday card. Started on one, but it ended up more Christmasy so ended up a Christmas card, and I need to rethink birthday.
I only have a zoom meeting today at 12:30. Dh has a dfriend coming over at 4:30 for a drink. I took out pulled pork from freezer last night for my supper, I might let the rest of that be our supper tonight.

I put the tree up this morning. I even plugged it in!
Dh wants to take me out for lunch. He wants a burger.

Cathy, I probably am too late to catch you before your burger outing, but Burger King (based in Canada, btw) has the Crabby Patty meal (Sponge Bob Square pants pineapple house box) with what is said to be a very good pineapple slurpy and pie slice. McDs has the Grinch Meal but not exactly for children since it's a larger burger, HOWEVER, you get a pair of socks, which is, like, SO mature, right? ( mature, and yet they are brightly colored socks with Cindy Lou Who, or the dog, or Grinch, etc.)

Good morning
Let the learning begin.
Nancy - YGG!
I’m learning how to merge the pathway spreadsheet with the 43-folder tickler organizational method. I’m not sure if it can realistically be done, but I enjoy exploring the possibilities and seeing what unfolds.
I’m ahead of schedule, which can be risky for me, because as soon as I realize I can manage my current workload, I’m tempted to start adding more cards right away.

Harriet I just saw your question about my stitching. If there are an even number of strands I do a loop start. If I can't do a loop start, I will leave the thread dangling until I can go back and pin it under some other stitches.
We are going to B King because it's "Whopper Wednesday" and dh loves Whoppers. Neither one of us eat hamburgers from McD's. I will eat the filet-o-fish. I haven't eaten McD's fries in at least 10 years. Maybe a lot longer than that.
I've been working on that pile of stuff on the ironing board that had a label on top of it that said "cross stitch". As expected, there were other things in that pile. Sorting it slowly. I have a MASSIVE case of Idonwannas today. I stayed up until after midnight reading because I wanted to finish that book last night. Now I have a new book series to read.

Good morning! I have dropped DC off at school, and I have a therapy appointment at noon.
Twins, I may have to take a look at my brain dump list to see if there’s something I can knock off easily, because the main thing I’m working on from that list is something that isn’t going to get done in a day: helping DD find insurance. Yesterday, I went through our medical statements to find out what DD’s health costs would have been if she’d had to pay sticker price. Well, it looks like, for the cheapest plans, the deductible is more than she would have paid, so she’d be paying an extra monthly cost and getting no benefit from it. Of course, you don’t want to go without insurance because if anything major does come up, it could bankrupt you. So she’d want insurance for the hospital coverage, but it isn’t clear how much these plans would cover there.
Good luck on your socks, Nancy!
Laughing at house cleaning fitness, blessed! Things like that take me back to hearing a doctor on NPR (it may have been the surgeon general at the time) who said, “Exercise is more than you’re doing right now.” The point being to increase your activity. I guess house cleaning fitness would do that!
Sounds like you have a busy day ahead, Twins!
*********
Done with therapy!
I hope you enjoy your burger, Cathy! IKWYM about midnight reading sessions.
LadyM, I’m learning how to merge the pathway spreadsheet with the 43-folder tickler organizational method.
I’m just going to pretend I understood that.
Waving at Harriet!
Wow! It’s just about time to drop DD at work and pick up DC. Time flies! Have a good one!
