Are you looking for stuff? Are you trying to buy stuff? As George Carlin once said "It's all stuff!"

What stuff are you dealing with today?

Hi!

LucyLee needs to have her GSon find that remote.

Harriet that entire thing with relative sounds a bit fishy to me. I would get in touch with relatives that you do talk to and ask if this person has contacted others before you actually do anything. The relative sounded a bit too anxious to get to the point without much small talk. Just my personal opinion.

I have already done some stuff. It's snowing here. That's okay, maybe I'll finally decorate the house and the tree. Dh really wants me to get it done.

I am taking advantage of the fact that there isn't much wind and it's overcast without much visibility. I've taken out all the burnable stuff and now that's all done. I had 3 large bags full of burnable cardboard and paper.

I also want to do some baking today. Dh really wants me to do some baking.

We are having shake'n'bake chicken leg quarters for supper. We had chicken last night, but those were small pieces mixed with rice and sauce.

Time to help dh with another shower!

Blessed my dad had a great answer when a few of my cousins would say they liked (whatever). "I will remember you in my will." He had the last laugh because they thought he was telling the truth at the time. No cousins were mentioned in his will.

Harriet, it's odd that this guy would contact you now. Perhaps you can make discrete inquires as to what is going on in his life and why he would think of contacting you? Is he estranged from the rest of the family? Desperate? OTOH, depends on how close family he is...distant?

Dh says that at 7 a.m. it was 32 degrees and freezing fog. He skipped the walk with ds and they went to breakfast instead.

After an afternoon of mostly sun, it's cloudy/foggy again this a.m., and partly cloudy this afternoon.

Dh requested mushroom barley soup, will take a trip to grocery and it's pretty labor intensive but I'm doing it. I have a similar crock pot recipe but there's not enough time for that. Perhaps I'll get him to go to grocery.

I'm an up and listened to an on line message it was good but for ones in a diff. age bracket.
aka I"m beyond child bearing years and then some lol!

Caught up my record it planner where I put what I did instead of what I intend to do.
Bujo is where I put the intend to do and then put a dot when I do it some times a week later!

Bfast happened.
Considering options for my day.

Store run will be needed soon.
Found my fav. soup so I'll have some later on.
It is sunny out now that helps the rain did not happen this morning like they forecasted.

Slept well yea it's calm and not windy!

Cathy - Thank you for the start today. It made me smile.

I'm having a good start to my day. It is hour #4 and i'm staying up with hourly pathways. No overthinking....just do it and without stress or straining, I've completed 120 cards.

The 3 things I would like to accomplish today -
1 - talk to DD14 about replacing her box spring. I always ensure DD14 is okay with making any change in her bedroom so there are no suprises or reason for anxiety. I should have replaced the box spring at the same time we replaced her mattress, but I didn't realize the box spring was broke until we removed the old mattress. Once DD14 approves the change then get the box spring ordered - did you know they will mail them to you?! This is a first for me.
2 - Homeschool lessons planned & daily assignments put on DS17 calendar for this week.
3 - Make appointment on Nourish for DD14. Select a different person.

I maade "Betty Crocker's mincemeat bars 1961" recipe. A friend recommended them. I don't think I baked them long enough. It said 12-15 minutes. I did 13 minutes. The certainly aren't bars, but dh loves them. Still too much mincemeat taste for me. There are a lot of things added to the mincemeat, but not something I am going to share with him. Dh is eating it with a spoon.

Oh, well... I tried them. Next year I will go back to making mincemeat tarts for dh.

Finally having a late brunch. Dh has been to grocery, then immediately took off to pick up a (redrilled) bowling ball. Has anyone noticed this trend for him? lol. I think he's doing one or two every week. And he doesn't bowl again until Tuesday p.m. so don't know why it was urgent.

I s2s-ed and have mostly done a.m. routine except for walking ddog, which dh did this a.m. He was dressed and had already been out of the house. I straightened up MBR and bath as part of s2s routines. And I've rebooted the laundry to do some things to hang dry. I do like to have laundry caught up before a trip.

I realize that I make things hard on myself and create stress by making the list of things that I want to get done before a trip. I'm using trips to force me out of procrastination, and that's one reason that getting ready for a trip is so hard for me. We leave on Wednesday a.m. for NYC and I haven't kicked myself into moving yet. Not sure it's a healthy habit to have.

We are now partly cloudy with some wan winter sun through the clouds. DMillie went out to enjoy it for awhile.

I need to play what's next....
-get rid of ten pieces of paper. Scan, recycle, put in shred bin, file, whatever.
-post over in H and F and set up to track steps this week. I'll have more than usual with walking in NYC
-take out recycling to garage
-arrange a bouquet of flowers that I got at the grocery the other day, dispose of old flowers, take out trash to garage too?

It's Sunday evening here, and today Ive had church, followed by coffee with DF E, followed by driving home to cook lunch - roast lamb rump, roast potatoes, gravy , cavalo Nero, carrots and peas,. followed by Greek yogurt and lemon curd fool. I've folded laundry and PA, taken Freddie for his walk and watched Poirot with DH.

My "stuff" to deal with today is 30 minutes working on the photographs.

Mincemeat tarts, Cathy? Was this a sweet version or the traditional meat?

Glad LadyM is having a good day. Not overplanning, but some small victories.

Nancy, it's nice to have a place to record what you did do, not just the list that needs to be done. I might go crazy with an extra list tho. Right now I use my Circa type binder and add/move pages as needed. Each Sunday starts with a right hand page of the week's calendar with a margin OMM/to do list for the week. I keep an Excel to do list but don't update as often as I should. So I miss things. At one point I was keeping the big to do list in a section at the front of my binder, but I like being able to sort priorities in Excel.

This time around:
-hang laundry in washer
-cut veggies for soup for later
-take apart the Home Depot fail so I can return it
-lie flat on the floor for 15 min to try to relieve the discomfort in my lower back...

Photographs! Another thing I'm not dealing with upstairs!
