Re: Mr Satterthwaite Saturday
Mr Satterthwaite is a recurring character in the Harley Quin series by Agatha Christie. An observer of life with an acute sensitivity to atmospheres, a keen eye for personalities and a gift for deduction. The last is catalysed by the presence and personality of his mysterious friend Mr. Harley Quin or 'Harlequin' allowing Mr. Satterthwaite to right or prevent wrongs. He has also worked with the eminent Hercule Poirot.
At the time of the events at Royston, Mr Satterthwaite is sixty-two years old.
Mr. Satterthwaite is a bachelor - his only real romance ended abruptly when the lady confessed to him her passion for another man - well to do with no day job. He is a bit of snob, a connoisseur of the arts and has a hobby of amateur photography. In The Dead Harlequin it is mentioned that he had published a book Homes of My Friends. He is sentimental to the last degree with a special weakness for young lovers.
In Three Act Tragedy, Mr Satterthwaite is a guest at Sir Charles Cartwright's house party, where another guest dies suddenly. Sir Charles suspects that the man was murdered. When another man dies in similar circumstances, Mr Satterthwaite helps Sir Charles and Poirot investigate.

Re: Mr Satterthwaite Saturday
Good morning everyone and happy Saturday!
L.Ann, that is such a good idea to have all the binders in a cabinet that you like, so you don't have e to stare at an eyesore all the time!
Dogged, I hope everything is better for you today -that did all seem to be a chapter of accidents and errors? Is there so eo e you can report the lack of hot water to and request they fix it? (Maintenance?). At least , hopefully, your bed is warm and cosy!
I stayed up far too late last night, doing some detective.work on my dolls house. I would really like to know who made it. Anyway, eventually I posted all its details on a specialist forum, and then had to wrestle with the preferred method of posting the photos. (Unlike Dogged, I am definitely not a tech whizz, and the I instructions given were far from clear!) Anyway, it works, and I guess if the moderator doesn't like what I've done, she'll change it - they appear to be a kind, helpful bunch, and very knowledgeable. From the research I've done so far, I have a suspicion that it may have been built using one of the many "how to" magazines that were popular at the time. Hopefully, someone will know.
Today is the women's breakfast at the community shop at 9am, then I have a gap, and then it's DFE's 100th birthday party at 3 pm. I need to remember to take her gift and card, as well as the card that ever at church has signed. Everything is wrapped, and it's all together in a pretty gift bag.
I'm.not sure what I'll do with those hours in between yet! If it's fine and dry, then maybe something in my garden. DH was originally going to be sorting out the bottom in of his wardrobe today, so I was going to be helping there, but he's now decided he's going out with his friends instead. Maybe I could do a couple of little jobs in the kitchen?

Re: Mr Satterthwaite Saturday
WTG with all the progress in your office, Gma. Sleep well! The COVID jab has been restricted to the elderly.and the immunocompromised here in the UK, but the flu jab is available free to many groups of people, and if you don't qualify but still want to get mine, it's only a small fee to pay. I qualified for a free Jan because of my asthma, DH paid, I think it was £15, and then was able to claim the cost back from his work. But you're right, and the problem is many people are not getting the vaccine, and the flu appears to be particularly nasty and virulent this year. (Of course, so people are unable to have the vaccine for medical reasons, but if others can't be bothered, then it means they are not protected) The government has run a Aries of adverts, but the problem has not been helped by some of the pharmacies running out of the flu vaccine.
(hopefully just temporarily).

Re: Mr Satterthwaite Saturday
I had a very nice time at the women's breakfast at our community shop. And also bumped into DF CW, who was there with another friend. We have sun today, but there was a frost overnight, so there are still icy patches.
I now have a few hours before I need to leave for DF E's party. I'm going to see if I can get something done in my garden, and maybe a little housework.

Re: Mr Satterthwaite Saturday
Good morning Kittykatt -
I admire your diligence in finding out the origins of your dollhouse! DD and I used to build some... my DGkids still play with them.
I finally got a good sleep. It's been better than the last couple of months but it's rare that I can say that.
Today:
I have gym and a walk planned. Pup has been eating grass, hope we avoid issues...
First:
send e-mail to my neighbour (racoons are back in her roof)
meds/supplements
pup's drops
feed pup
D2ex
start lol (and keep it going)
