Good morning, it's the traditional Tuesday Ta Da tally! Let's hear it for the victories, large and small, when we cross things off that pesky list! We love to proclaim the ta das, and the village gets energy from hearing that we're all having such successful days!

Bring on the day!

Hi!

I was in a grocery store yesterday and they had EASTER stuff already! I think it's a bit too early for Easter.

I have 1 litter box to clean and 2 pots in the sink. That's all I have to do today.

Good morning

After 10 days of ice/snow, I finally have a path to walk that isn't slippery. There is still ice/snow on the ground especially where it drifted, but the sun has warmed up the concrete enough to melt the snow/ice.

DS17, GF and friends were in the city last night so I asked them to bring me some Lo Mein from Chinese restaurant. I wanted to refresh my memory of what it tastes like. it was good, but we all agreed that we preferred the taste of my inspired Lo Mein dish. The food from the restaurant was way saltier than what I make at home. ANYway, now I know.

Cathy - what is the status of your washing machine? Did I miss it getting repaired?

LadyM I have called the appliance guy, but it goes straight to voicemail. Today I will try again and actually leave a message. Dh and I will start looking for a new washing machine if we don't hear back soon.

Good morning! No real ta-das yet today. I'm s2s, breakfasted, and have cleaned up breakfast. Watched one of the late-night shows, listened to DD go off on a long tangent about a YouTube video, read some data to her so she could enter it in another program, and came here. Once I'm through here, I'm going to rouse DC, throw in a load of wash, and then get the kids to do a couple of things that will benefit themselves -- DC to email about road classes (if you're over 18 here, you get one opportunity to pass the driver's test without taking formal classes, but if you fail, there are particular classes you have to take; they've done the instructional part of the class, but they need to do the road work, and the school wants info -- such as the date of the failed exam -- that is on paperwork they have lost. ), and DD to gather information for a Medicaid application. (I doubt she will be eligible; she has no job, and she does have savings, but it's worth a try.) Meanwhile, I need to call the insurance company and ask what the difference between the regular plans and the "short-term" plans is; the "short-term" plans have plans as long as 364 days, and the monthly premiums are less than half the regular plans.

DC has no classes today; they usually only have the one, and their instructor has had to go out of town. Both kids do have hair appointments this afternoon, though. I will try to be back later with some ta-das.

I'm glad vet was able to see you, Twins.

Home from vet, I'm finally getting my brunch. I posted over in the Toad Tuesday overnight - I was up about 2.5 hours with dMillie as she wanted out to try to poop, finally back in, and then lather, rinse and repeat. When she wanted out around three I got dh up to take care of her for awhile. I'm not sure what happened after that.

So we got into see vet this a.m. - it was a big help to have photos of what she looked like when she strains so, and he diagnosed as a tumor that he could feel when examined. An xray indicated she's not that constipated - he was going to put off surgery until next week (when she's already scheduled to get teeth cleaned) but he is getting her in on Friday. Don't know about tumor until it's out and path report comes back. Taking her off Zoloft, it can cause digestive upset, and adding a laxative into the mix. Back home, she took meds on a lick mat with a little canned dog food, then she ate two cups of the dry food. She's sleeping off the trazadone from the vet visit now. I need to check on Thurs to see if they want me to give her trazadone before I drop her off at 7:30 for surgery.

I'm finally getting my day to "normal" setting. Ta da! Garbage picked up and container back in. Ta da1 made myself an omelet and fruit for brunch. dh is out for lunch, and has bowling tonight.

Things OMM today:
-groceries
-run roomba upstairs
-some genealogy research
-laundry
-should I wash our comforter today or wait (stains from dog on it...)
-purge refrigerator

We're supposed to have rain late this afternoon. I'll need to walk dog before the rain comes in. I think we're foregoing the a.m. walk, she looks pretty out of it.

(((Twins & DMillie)))

I finished all the paperwork tasks for the day and have received my reward of changing that line in spreadsheet with color signifying completion.

I only need to empty the mop bucket and the cards in the floors category will be complete.

DH is uneasy and unsettled today. He keeps looking for things but can't describe what he is looking for. As long as we are in the same room he will relax so I am limiting how long I leave him. He does okay being alone for a couple minutes.

I'm having trouble settling down right now. I should finish a.m. routine before I go upstairs....but first should I order groceries?

Later: Ta da groceries ordered. Ta da ordered the stool softener for dMillie at CVS and I will pick up later I hope. Or maybe in the morning? (Vet suggested 50 mg, to give her one or two, twice a day. We only have 100 mg here so I gave her 100 earlier - but I'd like to have the 50 mg on hand.)

Ta da, small bits of laundry hung up to dry. Ta da another load started.

I have to take my victories where I can. I am heading upstairs for awhile...
