mom's dementia has taken a dip - it's like she woke up and realized life had changed from the last time she remembered. last night she had sundowners. she did wake up cheerful and happy to see us. I love when she feels safe and comfortable.

I have to run two errands. cleaners and pick out composite wood for mom's porch.

have a great day everyone.

Good morning, everyone

happy for you, Nancy. We are under clouds.

((blessed's dmother))

I awakened naturally at about 6:15 and feel pretty good. HRH had an awful cramp wake him soon after, though, and he is still complaining about the pain it has caused. I've double-checked and he is continuing to take the supplement he was prescribed, that does contain some magnesium, and the last time his potassium was checked it was right in the mid-range. I've insisted he take a potassium tablet anyway.

Our potential grocery trip yesterday wasn't possible of course, so we are awaiting a grocery order right now.

Frustrated that the order for the thread I decided to use for the quilting has been delayed until tomorrow (was supposed to come yesterday). I can continue progress anyway by making some templates or sewing other bits that would use other threads. I still consider myself to have met my deadline for starting the quilting by March because I was already working on the batting and the basting - a third of the basting is done.

I'd like to get out to vote sometime today.
Have reminded HRH that it is one of his relative's birthdays.
Will remind him again check on his mom today after her appt.

Trash day.
Recycling Day.

The "Super Sticky" Post-it out of which I had made my repositionable Recycling sticker tab at the end of 2024 has finally vanished after 14 months and being repositioned more than 30 times. I suppose it is on the floor somewhere. So, I'll report that product did live up to its slogan " For a Better Stick".

bw2, there was a lunar eclipse overnight - we weren't able to see because of cloud cover so I didn't even get up to look.

I'm up and about. Dh has gone for 8 a.m. workout (Tu and Th schedule). Nothing on my schedule today but he is bowling tonight, so will be out.

Going to s2s next.

Still feeling in a slump, need to get back to genealogy. Thinking about going to the downtown library this afternoon.

I hope you and HRH have a good day!

d cathy sometimes we have to release all that tension and what a wonderful & safe place, our site, is to be!

d twins I never knew that - I looked it up this morning after d Nancy posted it. Interesting!

I realized I went through depression. I knew there was something wrong but I finally had the AH HA moment that my depression had taken over for a bit. hope you have a positive feeling day and that the slump, you feel, goes behind you fast!

Oh, Cathy - just wanted you to know I was coming back to quote you, lol.

Anyway, for some reason, I was just reminded of how universal it is to research the facts one has been told are inaccurate in order to remind oneself that it was the way you thought it was all along. And in the process probably learn more, plus get better at researching.

Groceries are put away, breakfast is done and dishes handled.
Recycling mostly to the can. - have a thought about more later
Trash gathering partially done. " " " " ditto

HRH said he was glad the thread was delayed until tomorrow..... ? He explains he just looked at weather, and it will be so hot... ..? (in early March?) that he thinks I will be happy to be occupied with sewing indoors for the second half of the week. yipes

Harriet My ability to research and learn was always mocked by my ex and his mom. If I used "big" words, they would be snarky about it.

BTW, the next "blue" moon is on May 31st. It doesn't mean that the moon will actually be blue.

I need to convince dh that he needs to go to the walk in blood lab to get his bloodwork done for his next doctor's appointment. I will also have to go with him.
