I never got back to post yesterday. Upstairs I did more research down another rabbit hole. Late afternoon dh started to build an outdoor fire, but I talked him out of it. We had a prescribed burn in a neighboring county yesterday and things were hazy and smokey. Dneighbor came over for a glass of wine while we were grilling and she ended up staying for our supper - we had an extra chicken breast and enough asparagus. Sweet potato was a little short but that was fine. Her dh and sons were out for the evening.

Today I need to get moving if I'm watching any of RootsTech at 10 a.m.

I’m up and folded two loads of laundry and put it all away.

Sweetie if finishing up his shower routines and I will fix his breakfast after that.

All morning routines and footprints have disappeared.

Cathy… I let two pots soak overnight .. we had mac and cheese for dinner last night too. That’s one of the pots I let soak over night.

Lucylee… my home insurance is 10k deductible. Many homes in my FL area now have metal roofs. Once Hurricane Isn came through most insurance agency wanted their clients to switch to metal.

I hate them only because the home’s roof directly across the pond from my home shines directly into my living area and when the sun hits it, the reflection almost blinds me.

Need to start breakfast. I have a hair appointment later today

For the first time since last fall I took some composting bags out to the street without a coat on. It is windy here today.

Recycling has already been picked up.


Dh has had his coffee and now he's laying on the bed playing on his phone.

I'm enjoying the last of my coffee before switch to black tea.

I delivered DD14 to school in a wet misty haze. It isn't coming down enough to be a sprinkle, but there is so much moisture in the air that you get wet being outside. Whatever moisture is here is welcome.

DS17 went to work but came home because it is too wet to work today. One of the joys of doing construction/farm type work is the weather affects if/when you work.

My experiment with letting Sam be in my garden area is not turning out as I hoped. Yesterday he jumped into a couple of the raised beds and his footprints destroyed the seedlings growing. Several cauliflower & broccoli plants won't recover. So today i will be putting the fence back in place that will keep Sam out of that side of the back yard.

Re: metal roofs the house behind me has one on their shop the roof is not new the new owner cleaned it last fall
and it's dirty looking again already this spring. I do not think it's so bad in the front but what I see when I do dishes.
I was surprised it got like that over the winter. Maple & ever green trees over head did it I suspect on a diff. near by property.

I was up at 5 ish it was already starting to be the break of dawn then.
Had coffee and bfast.
Deciding on my plan for today foot prints need to be erased after the rain yesterday we tracked in.

Feeling better and slept well so that is a good thing yea!
Focusing on the good part of home stuff is it feels so good to have that done, and I had
snacks & sodas and cool pops for the crew on breaks and they worked through the morning to get to avoid the heat of the day.

Of course it was my grand son so they got spoiled! It was the 1st job of the season too and they had
21 yr. old energy as well. An amazing process and I got pics. you can see on my yt ch.

Another roof adventure after a tornado hit my dsis place they had to replace half of the metal roofing not sure if the
wood under it had to be replaced or not. But it's good now.

I hear robins outside here today they luv the puddles.
Watched / listened to a yt on writing yesterday.
Did some mopping.

I'm at my desk with the webinar running, kind of puttering around. Cleaned this desk up a little. I have a workout this afternoon, when I showered earlier I went ahead and put on workout clothes. After my workout, I might go on to the plant nursery on that side of town. Wondering if they have ferns yet...I saw online that they do have pansies in.

So that might be my little reward for getting there?

I'm watching a second session this a.m. and then later at five p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
