I'm on the move, albeit running late this morning. I'll be heading out on my trip when I get my act together. What are you doing to move today? Going anywhere? Exercising in the spring weather?

Hi Twins' Mom! Thank you for starting us off today!

I am doing more backstitching this morning. Dh slept later than I did, got up and had his coffee and now he's back in bed. I am enjoying the peace and quiet. It's not sunny out, but I have both overhead lights turned on in the kitchen to help me see what I am doing.

Yes, I could be unloading the dishwasher or the dryer, but I'm not.

I was up at the perfect time about 40 min. before the sun came up. It was raining & a bit breezy out too.
Did my journals. I have more prompts to put in the back of my spring journal to use from today's reading.

Got the bread mixed up trying a round loaf in a diff. container. Done very happy with the results it's cooling still!
So glad I did the outside stuff yesterday!
s2s needs to happen done.
Weekly Check In happened in my bujo for this week.
Next
duds can be started after that.

Waving to every one. We had a cooling trend next so glad it's not the unsufferable early heat in
other parts of the country like in the S.W. My bulbs are blooming and doing their thing and appreciate the rain.

Church has a pot luck tomorrow I'm sure now it's to plan for Easter stuff, like egg hunt.
Lucy L. Correction is in order I would think. Maybe your dson could handle that.

I learned something new today. The way I use the hip pad has a name! Interstitial journaling I had not heard of this method before. I do this type of capturing what is happening in my hip pad because it works for my lifestyle and what my mind needs to stay clear, focused and calm. It takes me seconds to review & update my hip pad multiple times a day. The time stamps & actions gives me instant feedback while building a complete record of how I am spending my time. It is definitely KISS

LucyLee - I feel like I am missing something. Your DS posted information on social media .....that has a SHARE button....and someone shared that information somewhere else? I don't get the problem. >>>count me clueless<<<<

No, LadyM, she didn’t “share” it, she copied and pasted it verbatim in a newspaper article with her byline.
If she shared it on FB, everyone would see where it originated, but this way, it looks like she did all this research herself. No mention at all of where she got her information.

Twins', I hope you have a great time away - when do you return? my dgdC told me that she will have to miss her class trip to D.C. because of a conflict and I was really sorry about that. I think her older brother thoroughly enjoyed it, and his dad enjoyed it as well as an adult helper. I have only been able to go once myself, one really determined thing HRH did for us as a family before dd27 was born - so, obviously a long time.

lucylee, that is alarming, frankly. If it happened to any editor of mine, I'll tell you, they would really, really want to be informed quickly, first because editors just pride themselves on original content, and second because the embarrassment to the paper could be an extremely big deal, especially if it continued. Although it would not be called a retraction, and would not have to be embarrassing-looking to the writer, a small explanation of edit should happen following the writer's next column, or as a stand-alone. I've seen something like, "Correction: last week's column about John Smith included portions of the (online resource)." I doubt your ds wants to, but he probably needs to discuss this with someone. If he considers talking to the writer rather than the editor, one point I'd make is that the writer can't correct anything themselves, only the editor can - writers only write a next column. So that could be a helpful conversation, but not a productive one. I wouldn't write a letter that might just sit around a long time - unless an email letter.

Kittykatt, oh, I agree with you about quiltmaking - just think fabric is a wonderful palette. I hope you don't mean you are learning anything from my jabbering, though, because I am probably talking too much about every seam!

Good morning!

Fighting a case of the Idonwannas. We have a birthday party to go to later today. A friend is turning... I don't know how many. Don't know if this is a milestone birthday or if she just wanted to throw a party. But there will be board games, smoked meat, and ice cream cake. It's not that I don't want to go to the party, but I do want to get the birthday girl a gift -- she and her husband have on more than one occasion gotten our kids to/from the hockey game when DH was unable to go. She and her husband are DINKs, (not that anybody uses that term anymore -- dual income no kids) so there is nothing I can get her that she cannot more easily afford to get herself, but I thought I could at least get her some cat toys. But I really don't want to go out to the pet supplies store. The toys are not going to present themselves, however.

DH was supposed to go to a train show today (he is the moderator for his school's model train club), but he didn't feel like it, as the club members who first mentioned it decided they weren't going. He didn't initiate this club, merely was willing to be the adult in charge, so if they're not enthusiastic, he's not enthusiastic.

Costumelady, I feel ya. I've got DD26, who has an art degree and just left the only paying job (part-time at that) that she's had since graduation in hopes of getting something full time. Something in her field would be a dream, but it's clear that it's only a dream, and she's hoping for something clerical. No luck yet. Her former employer (school aftercare) would happily take her back, but the job was just destroying her; many days she came home in tears. She's had no bites yet, but neither has she cast her net fairly wide -- she cannot yet drive; neither can her sibling. Said sibling, DC23, is on their fifth year of a two-year degree. Both have ADHD and anxiety -- the anxiety is worse In DD; the ADHD in DC -- and possibly, as DC puts it, "a touch of the 'tism," though neither is diagnosed with autism.

LucyLee - Thanks for explaining it to me. IMHO, that is a bad career move by the journalist and puts shade on all their work.

I'm soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the nice weather. We will be 98F later today, but it is nice out for now.

Beds stripped and in the dryer now.
First meal of the day made, served and enjoyed.

It’s a very small town and we don’t want to get into any conflict. We know the “journalist” pretty well and it’s just not worth the trouble. But thanks for confirmation that I’m not just over sensitive about it.

LucyLee - I thought of you this week while having conversation with our DGD15. She still has intentions of attending "your" university. Of course, she is 3 years away from graduating HS so many things can change. Wouldn't it be wild if both our grandkids end up attending the same university at the same time?! DGD15 has selected that university because of the equestrian team
