Hi!

Cross stitch project is moving forward nicely. It is very sunny here right now. It's colder today than it has been and it's also very windy.

Dishes are falling behind again.

Good morning

We have gusty wind and 20 degrees colder than yesterday. I've been outside 3 times this morning and each time I find myself wondering if this was a good idea. By the time I got back inside the house each time, I decided it was worth the minor physical discomfort to get fresh air and increased energy.

DH CPAP machine stopped working last night with an error code of 6. When I looked it up the code means hardware failure.
Getting DH a new CPAP machine has zoomed to the top of my priority list today.

LucyL - so sorry you are ill enough to need antibiotics - some yucky stuff is going around here - strong chest colds and the stomach flu. I got a 12 hour stomach bug on Wednesday - threw up at work once. I don't get a sub and these students had just begun on Tuesday, I wore a mask and bathed in sanitizer. I had been inundated with D in the morning and then just felt off all day until I just had to go throwup. Felt much better, ate very little, cancelled my tutoring session at the school and went home to bed. Much better yesterday. Make sure you take a good probiotic or at least eat some yogurt while you are taking antibiotics.

LadyM - your ds17 seems so independent. Has he already graduated HS or gotten his GED. Is he very tall because size 15 shoes are big - I hope you can find some comfortable ones.

Twins - we fly in and out of Richmond about 2 times a year, fil lives in Williamsburg. DH grew up in site of the Washington Monument and early in our marriage when his parents still lived there we spent a lot of time in DC - she would shoo us out of the house. My favorite day was the day we spend opening to closing in the Holocaust Museum - it was so powerful. We read every placard and watched every movie and really took our time exploring - so historical and moving. I liked when we would do that do one Smithsonian not all of them in one day. DC was also my father's favorite vacation spot and we spent about 5 vacations there growing up but had to do the speed round but his connections did get us underground tours on the train beneath the Capital between the houses, VIP tours of the White House and seats in the Galleries so that was very cool. Arlington Cemetery is also a favorite place to visit. We have done the same thing now in Williamsburg where my in-laws have lived for 15 years - we have been married almost 33 year.

Blessed - being a caretaker of your mom is so important. I did with my mother for a very short time before her passing and my sister did with both of her parents (my dad and step mom) and I would spell her sometimes but it was mostly on her.

It is Friday and the weekend is so busy. Tomorrow is the National No Kings Day protest (3rd national one) and we are going to our local site from 1 to 3 - need to make new signs- my old ones are dated. We have nothing on the plans tonight so might go to the movie to see Hail Mary - we listened to the book on one of our trips and I have heard it is very good on screen. Tomorrow we also have to go grocery shopping for us and our friend and we have a Gala and theater show for The Davinci Code. Sunday is Palm Sunday so a busy day with church, chapel, Sunday School, making Easter Baskets at a partner church and doing my EFM class.

Next week is my last week of paid teaching, I am coming 1 to 2 more additional weeks to help and tutor the new teachers taking these positions before we leave for Spain.

I feel a bit melancholy about that. I also had a fasting bloodsugar test to check cholestrol and A1C- A1C is just in normal range but my cholestrol is still climbing and she wants to put me back on atorvastatin. I refuse - there are other options and we need to explore those. I hate this doctor. I had a colonoscopy about 2 or 3 years ago and they told me once every 10 years (I have a history of polyps on my intestines as a child) and DH had his about a year after me and they just ordered him a second one in 2 weeks. I asked was there something they were worried about. If any one should get one every couple of years it is me but I have to wait 10. Why do they treat women different than men? I take many supplements and I think she thinks I am a hypochondriac and I really and just really aware of my body.

Got one load coming out of dryer, one flipping a little load of whites going in to wash. Fed Dog, showered to bare feet but dressed, working on desk work, had breakfast. Productive morning so far. Teach in an hour or so - no tutoring but was going to take in my ladder and stay a bit after to hang posters on my walls as I have time after class today. Last weekend I planted my 5 rose bushes into pots - the guy is coming Monday to give me an estimate on making my hardscape flower box on the front of my house but this year the roses can live in pots. They are currently inside do to bad storms and potential freezing temps and my cat decided they were his litter box stupid cat. Off to get out laundry and flip loads - dh did 2 loads yesterday. We had a lot of laundry. Season shift always does that. The amount of underware you own gives you the power. I own more than dh so he always has to do wash before me. I have a lot more clothes too.

I was up early walking Coco. She’s back for a few days.

I went to my morning coffee gathering and now I’m home. Once I walk Coco I will make lunch for Sweetie and me.

Need to wrap my meat so I can freeze it. Want to go to the dollar store for finish my Easter Baskets and finish writing my cards as well

Good morning! I'm a bit bleary this morning. This could have something to do with leaving the bedside radio on to listen to the remainder of the season-opening ballgame after ostensibly going to bed. Since the game was in Seattle, the start time was just after 10 here, and the game went till 1. I did have the volume down low and dozed through much of it. But I did get the occasional inquiries from the offspring about the score. We did win, and our rookie phenom hit two home runs. Tonight's game is streaming and therefore at a more reasonable time.

I'll see you those 20 degrees and raise them, LadyM! We broke 70°F yesterday and are barely supposed to get above freezing today. The cold weather came through with high winds and a lot of rain. DC was worried about their driving lesson today, but it's dry now, just overcast. I don't envy you the process of getting a new CPAP. Hopefully they expedite replacement machines, and it's not as much waiting as getting one in the first place.

I should wash DH's shirts today, but then again, he's not going to need them tomorrow, so maybe I'll wait until then and do a load of something else today. I should really do two loads; I've fallen behind this week. We'll see how everything fits together around taking DC to and from driving classes. I wish they could have picked either somewhere closer or somewhere that picks students up/drops them off, but no. I can't really fault them for wanting to patronize an LGBTQ-friendly business, though.

I still need to finish my grocery list. What we're having for dinner tonight, I don't know. Maybe pizza. For that matter, I don't know if DH will be dining with us -- he's off on a Scout camping trip this weekend (they're cabin camping and very grateful for that, given the weather), and I don't know what time he's leaving. I suppose I should text him.

I think I'm going to make myself a matcha latte and see if that opens my eyes. Have a great day, everyone!
