Re: Saturday March 28. 2026
Neither one of us slept well last night. Dh suggested that we get going just before 8. Then he promptly fell asleep.
Between 6 a.m. and now I have cleaned most of the bathroom.
Cleaned 2 of 3 litter boxes.
Put away all the clean laundry.
Put away what was in/on the dish tray. Dishwasher still needs to be emptied.
Went to McD's for 2 hash browns and a small mocha. There was far too much coffee in it! Blech!! There is a reason I get my mochas at Tim Hortons. They will put a splash of coffee into a hot chocolate if you ask nicely. I asked Mcd's if I could have a hot chocolate with a splash of coffee and they said they couldn't do that. I ended up with a coffee with a splash of hot chocolate... YUCK!

Good morning
I am feeling very thankful to wake up to calm weather. Yesterday's high winds were not pleasant to be in or listen to. This morning we had to go close and resecure the 3 large drive-through gates in our back yard. These solid metal gates catch the wind and when it blows like it did yesterday, they will eventually come loose from openers.
We don't have anything on the calendar for today, so I am hopeful to be able to have a day at home.
Current status -
Teenagers are sleeping in
Laundry is going
Coffee is being enjoyed.
Favorite music is playing
Ahhhhh...sweet moment

Joining you all this morning…
Up and walked Coco early this morning came home and did my morning routines. About to drink my 2nd cup of coffee as I have a few things I need to do sitting here at my computer.
My granddaughter‘s birthday is this weekend so I need to order her present from Amazon. And I have a few other things I want to get from there as well.
Later, I need to go to the dollar store to finish up my Easter baskets and pick up in a few other things. Other than that, my day is free. I hope to get a little bit of sun and read. The women’s final for the Miami open and tennis is on later on this afternoon so that’s on my agenda to watch.
Hope y’all have a good day.

Re: Saturday March 28. 2026
I was up a good time today and slept well.
Journals done.
Music is on. [Singing helps the brain.]
Got bread rising now, put Italian herbs in this one. It turned out great!
Eggs have been boiled and are cooling.
Did up the dishes after kitchen activities.
Made the bed moved excess stack of books out of the living room.
Taking a breather now.
Have a great day!

Re: Saturday March 28. 2026
I'm on the move again today - heading back home. I'd love to get in another day of research today but I think I'm ready to be home again, tomorrow, if not today.
In some ways, I've made a lot of progress, but very little had to do with being in Richmond. Having the uninterrupted time - no dog, no dh, no household duties - has been good for me. I hope I can keep up some momentum back home. I'm researching two very different people/cases. Need to be writing on Whitten, need research/correlation with Harper.
I'm not packed up here yet, need to do so next. Check out is not until noon. I'm not going to push myself traveling today but try to get far enough for an easy drive tomorrow.

Definitely heading out today. A text in to dd in case she wants to join us. Weather is beautiful but very crisp, probably in the 50s before we get back.
Have a Great day everyone!

Re: Saturday March 28. 2026
While I was waiting for dh to wake up (just a few moments ago) I washed 2 large pots and all of the large utensils. I love using tongs, but I hate washing them. I also put the bed sheets into the washer. That's going now.

Re: Saturday March 28. 2026
I'm eating my first meal of the day. What I have been doing isn't working for me anymore, so I am trying something different.
1st meal @10am = Dairy & fruit. Small smoothie with greek yogurt/protein powder/psyllium husk powder, cottage cheese & blueberries, 1/2 apple, cutie. 2 strawberries. 340 calories with 36g protein & 7g fiber
The fire pit in the garden was full of branches so i burned it. We are in a burn ban so I take extra precautions with 2 water sprinklers going nearby. The fire pit is completely enclosed with wire mesh so it is almost impossible for an ember to escape. But still.....starting a fire outdoors during burn ban earned me a mark in the bad girl column
One teen is awake.....and immediately headed to the kitchen to eat something.
I don't have a plan of what to cook today. hum....
