A teddy bear, or simply a teddy, is a stuffed toy in the form of a bear. The teddy bear was named by Morris Michtom after the 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt; it was developed apparently simultaneously in the first decade of the 20th century by two toymakers: Richard Steiff in Germany and Michtom in the United States. It became a popular children's toy, and it has been celebrated in story, song, and film.

Since the creation of the first teddy bears (which sought to imitate the form of real bear cubs), "teddies" have greatly varied in form, style, colour, and material. They have become collector's items, with older and rarer teddies appearing at public auctions.Teddy bears are among the most popular gifts for children, and they are often given to adults to signify affection, congratulations, or sympathy.

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday!

L.Ann, I'm glad the first day of appointments went well.

Gma, you're one busy lady! The installation at the College sounded amazing ! I hope your root canal.apoointmemt goes well today.

Today is another beautiful sunny day. I think I will need to water my pots in the garden. I also hope to have a walk before I start the housework. DH is WFH today and needs to leave early for his choral society, so maybe a short walk this morning and another one this evening? This evening would also be a good opportunity to start wrapping those items Ive posted on eBay. I don't want a mad rush when they sell!

Enjoy time outside in the sunshine, Kitty! Ah, toys is the theme this week.
Thinking of you and the testing today, L Ann. I hope it's going well, and you and DD33 are holding up OK.

I'm back! It's a rough morning with the 3 hour time difference, but we never completely adapted to west coast time.

Good trip! We got home around 9:20 pm last night. Baby I is sweet and very interested in the world around her. She is also very active! I went to dh's keynote talk yesterday, and he did a nice job and got lots of positive feedback. He included some interesting videos and pics to show real world applications of his technology. Travel was uneventful both ways. I got a lot of work done while away - but more awaits today. :) It will be good to get back into my regular routine.

Today: I'm going in to payroll around 10:30 or 11 this morning. I will pull the textbooks for the teachers, review a couple class overviews in case those teachers want to meet with me, and practice using the 2 desktop monitors in AC's office. She told me to use them for the PD meetings this afternoon. Then, I'll lead the PD meeting 1-2 and perhaps meet one-on-one with teachers needing help from 2-3. I also need to get ready for my own class, which will start tomorrow afternoon. We're hosting Tuesday dinner tonight -- Dd30 is cooking. It may just be dh, myself, dd30, and M. Other things to do: get in some exercise, unpack, refill the bird feeder, get some groceries.

I do have a class this session, but it won't be as time consuming as a writing class. It's basically a grammar class, Adv Int level, so not the highest level, and it meets MWF 1:30 - 3:30.

Next:
- some qt
- back exercises
- s2s and self care

Later:
- make bed
- tidy kitchen
- quick run to WF for basics
- make a lunch
- pack up stuff
- payroll: pull textbooks for teachers
- payroll: play with 2 desktop monitors to use during PD meeting
- payroll: review BGSL textbook and notes

- 1-2 payroll: lead PD meeting
- 2-2:30ish payroll: be available in case teachers want to meet with me
- payroll: make Telegram group for my class

- go for a jog
- menu plan and groc. list
- Kroger order??

- s/s main bathroom
- steam pair of jeans
- 6:30 - 8:30ish host Tuesday dinner?
- after dinner clean up

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - exactly the same as when I left. How is that possible?? (I ate a lot while away.)

kittykatt, love the theme of the week! I have a teddy bear from my childhood that mother bought at a silent auction. Love it!
helia, glad you had a good time with baby and dh keynote went well. hooray for uneventful travel!
bama, I hope you find your mojo!

Heading to osteopenia injection, then to check mother's house, maybe buy some hiking shoes, and go to endodontist for second phase of root canal. then it's senior day at gorcery store for 5% off, and hoep to have time to clean out kitchen fridge. And have to do 2 inches on prayer shawl every day.

Greetings to Kittykatt,

Thank you for a cuddly start, Kittykatt. I like your SHEM.

I'm glad that you had a good trip, helia, and that you made it safely home.

Bama, yesterday you had the kind of day that Canadians dream of all year. In our dreams, LOL. Today we have a forecast for something falling out of the sky, but our bashful weathermen wouldn't like to commit themselves to rain or snow or anything in between. And yet I would swear that I heard a mosquito land on my ear last night.

Hi, Gma. I hope that your errands go well.

I am going to try to evict Germane from the bathroom and get her heart pill into her, so that I can use the bathroom to shower. If she really doesn't want to get up, I'll start on other things and get to the shower later.

Hope all goes well, Gma.

Good luck getting the bathroom to yourself, Dogged. The eye visit wasn’t too bad lol. I guess you’re referring to the hammock though. I don’t think I’ve ever done that before, must do it more often. Feel free to use it anytime. Hope Germane takes her medicine as we all must. Which reminds me I need to give Tux his iron.

Sitting on the porch enjoying a nice breeze. A huge thank you to wherever this cold front came from as it is splendid. Cold for us means 60s-70s when it could be in the 90s by now. We (the dogs and I) had a nice walk around the yard. FedEx came with a delivery and they didn’t even notice they were having such a good time. Need to get that and bring it in too. I refilled the water bowl on the porch and they’re chilling now.
Next for me is spot clean the floors, the “beloved” cats have left me several gifts, and pet chores, feed, water, litter, and anything else that needs tending.
