Write it down Wednesday PWYC

Write it down! This is a busy week here and I'm keeping my planner book close by. LadyM often uses a hip list - attached to her so she can record thoughts on the fly.

We'll suggest a side order of anti procrastination while we're writing down the PODA (parade of daily activities), just to stay caught on those important jobs.

Good morning, writers!

Waving to you from my crisp apple moment.

I have been checkmarking. My tracker shows checkmarks for Clean, Declutter, Laundry and Garden so far this morning, and I'm planning to finish all the spaces with Sewing and Exercise this evening.

Right now, drip dries laundry load hung on the shower rod and the cloth bathmat spinning in the washer on a long cycle with a little bleach. I don't really like to use bleach much, but things that have been on the floor or around any potential mildew are pretty good candidates for it.

Last evening, HRH was rather positive about heading out on Errand Day with me today, and I pretty much need him now while still in this eye transition, so I hope he's going to say he's still "feeling it". I think the fact that there is a script to pick up is going to make the difference. He faithfully promised Dr J, who is so fond of him :) , that he would make sure I take that one, lol. (He never monitors mine and I don't monitor his, really.)

Last evening, ds figured out the size of the liquid amount the script says I'll be taking each day and I'm basically just going to look like the Banks children in Mary Poppins as the medicine goes down, no big deal. I just won't be enjoying it as much.

So, my own PODA mission then, would be to advocate for garden center FIRST, ;) , so tbat I can be sure I get to have a little fun ,,, ,,I mean, serious responsibility to my garden.

Hi!

I've watered most of the inside plants. When dh gets up we are supposed to be going to Walmart because he wants to buy some bulbs for the garden. (I think that's what he was talking about.) Plus it's Whopper Wednesday at Burger King and dh wants BK for lunch today. I will do Costco tomorrow without him.

Good morning! Popping in before taking DC to school. Although I think I might need to go light a fire under them.

I made chia pudding last night and had some for breakfast. One serving did not hit the spot, so I had a second. Bad move — it was definitely too much. I do the same with tapioca pudding — I must learn to let it hit bottom.

I hear DC in the bathroom, so I do not have to run upstairs. DD has spent a while this morning bending my ear — she has figured out a setup for her and her friends to play a social deduction game in Minecraft. She went through a programming problem she had and solved, and all I could think was that I wished she had such skill in a marketable programming language. Of course, they keep talking about AI running programmers out of jobs.

Harriet and lucylee, I’m sorry for your losses. I don’t know if it makes it easier or harder to be in a small town where everyone knows everyone. More of you to feel the loss, but more of you to support each other, too.

I have therapy today. I have a prescription (toothpaste) to pick up after I fetch DC. In between, I want — and don’t want — to go to my brother’s and talk to him about Mom. Her 90th birthday is coming up, and I feel like it’s the last chance I have to do a memorial. OTOH, I both feel that that ship may have sailed and that no one might come anyway. I really wish I had done a regular wake/funeral/luncheon despite her wishes. Now I feel like anything I do is the wrong thing.

OK, I really need to get DC out the door. Have a great day, everybody!

Good morning

My day is a little off kilter because my digestive system is LOUDLY rumbling along with a throbbing headache. I don't think I am sick but just know that I am not my normal self. Regardless of how I feel, life keeps on going. Both teens have been successful launched to school & work. I just made a plate of fruit/dairy for DH first meal of the day. I'm having a yogurt & tea hoping it calms whatever is happening in my body.

Update to the ongoing saga in the teens graduation ceremony decision. DD14 is open & willing to do as her trusted counselor suggested last night. DD14 will practice the graduation ceremony with her classmates before making the final decision to participate in it.

SCORE! DS17 just delivered bales of wheat straw that his employer used in fall decorations and wanted to get rid of them. I am enthused about this because these hay bales have been sitting long enough to sprout! That sprouting action proves to me that they aren't full of chemical retardant. I have a huge stumbling block in my effort to continually find & add soil, compost, mulch to the garden because of the possible chemical contamination. If I mess up and add mulch or soil that has chemicals (especially glyphosate) then it could take years to recover. I always have a compost pile going that only has ingredients from sources that I am 100% sure are chemical free, but making compost is a slow process so it feels like I won the lottery to have a big influx of chemical free mulch.

DS17 said he got a unsolicited job offer this morning. He was picking up some supplies from customer, and they told him if he ever needed a job to come talk to them because they would love to have him come work at their business. DS17 told them that he is happy where he is working now and thanked them for the offer.

I'm not feeling worse, so I declare that I am getting better. Positive optimism until proven wrong.

I had a successful trip to dentist and did the CVS pick up. I've been all over the place since then. Again, the Roomba did not connect to the base, battery run down, and I can not get it to reconnect to network. Correction, it's reconnected twice apparently, then told me it wasn't connected. And what did I do with the magic eraser I was using last week to clean the little metal connections?

And ddog is making me crazy. There was a dreaded cat peeping around our wall and she's very unhappy and wants me out there to further investigate. Or something.

I did successfully check all bank and credit card balances online.

String of emails this a.m. regarding temple finance committee meeting which was to have been tonight. Might still be tonight. The parents of the treasurer are unexpectedly in town for another night so he wants to reschedule. I think he should just suck it up but haven't said so. It's a one hour meeting. The date they are looking at now is Sunday night at six when we will have just arrived at vacation destination. Sorry, it's a no to meeting then for me.

Update, I rebooted my phone and the Roomba is now connected and hopefully charging.

And I sent an email earlier this week letting HOA know I'd be out of town next week in case any urgent checks were needed - and pool chair sent 9 receipts and some duplicates, and one had personal items on it I had to separate out. Anyway, I'm waiting a couple more days to be sure there's not anything else.

I've lost any momentum I had earlier...

LadyM, a guy at my workout place had some kind of viral tummy upset and lost six pounds - he works out on the same schedule I do so we often talk. I hope you're luckier than he, but I know noroviruses are going around.

I'm playing beat the clock today. Timer is set to 3:00 minutes. I am continually astonished what can be accomplished in 3 minutes. I've done these tasks in under 3 minutes.....
** dryer emptied, clothes hung up/folded.
** clothes switched from washer to dryer. Hung up/folded clothes put away.
** Walk 1.75 rounds of circle driveway.
** set up coffee pot for tomorrow. Clean dishes put away.
** Quick vacuum kitchen and living room
** My bathroom spray, swish, and wiped down

Dh and I went and did meat/fruit shoppimg in N. Falls. Then we went to our favourite bakery because I saw a post on FBook this morning showing something new that they are making. I got the last strawberry/rhubarb cake. Then we went to B King for lunch. Then Walmart....

Dh let me off at one set of doors with a few disabled parking spots right there. I went in and waited and waited some more. Looked at other entrance. Went to check to see if he was in the truck. Nope. Had him paged. FINALLY I hear him calling my name. As soon as I found him he wanted to go wait for me in the truck. We never did get whatever he wanted. I got a quick cart full of stuff. Mostly soda 6 packs.

Since we got home I have unloaded the truck and now I have some buns and meat that all need to be re-packaged before they all go out to the freezers.

For all he actually did, he should have stayed home. After we got home he said "we will have to go back to Walmart to get those bulbs". I quickly said "You can go back when I am at knitting on Thursday, or Friday or Saturday. I'm done." He didn't respond.
