Thank you for a sweet start to our Sunday AtlanticFlyer!
Because I felt totally incapable of doing anything yesterday, I have a busy day today. That's okay. It's sunny outside.
I have already watered all of the inside plants. I have got to get dh outside today. There are things that need to be done and he will need my help. He is sleeping right now.
Later...
Dh has been up briefly and had his coffee. I have had a hot tea. Cats have had their nip.
Laundry is started. I will have to do the seat cover from the truck at some point today.

Good morning
Happy Mother's Day!
We had 2 more storms come through in the last 12 hours. One storm yesterday evening brought another round of hail. This hail storm didn't impact my home as much as others around us. A carnival happening 4 miles away didn't shut down the rides as the storm approached and the people on the rides were like sitting ducks for the hail. My FB feed is full of pictures of bruises made by getting hit by the hail. Thankfully the hail was small (nickel size) or it would have been much worse.
I sat outside early this morning watching the storm clouds because they were ......I don't have words to describe them. All I know is I didn't want to take my eyes off them as they continually rolled, rippled and changed in color (shades of grey & green). I love storms. Nothing seems to compare to their raw power.

I continue to play random oldie music and enjoy watching DH memory shine. He remembers 99% of all those songs. The first song I played today was "Brown eye girl" by Van Morrison and DH recognized the song title, singer, writer, year written, etc after only listening to the first 4 beats of the song. That prompted him talking about the first time he heard it and who he was with. #GoodTimes
Looking at calendar for this week. This is the last week of full days of school. Monday & Tuesday are the last full days of regular school schedule. Wednesday is play day (everyone outside) and Thursday is a field trip. Next week are all partial days with the very last partial day of school on Thursday.
DD14 received a job offer for this summer. DD49 asked if was okay with me and I approved it. DD14 will be working with DD49 at a coffee shop/garden center. I have my doubts how DD14 will respond to interacting with the public, but if she wants to try then I wholehearted support her.

re/ glasses to read Harriet
I have trifocals I think in my transitions type lenses.
I have strong readers I hate but will be handy in areas I read like by the sewing mach. / on PC desk.
Glad the new Rx is ones I can actually read and see the guide on TV channels now.
Also for over the counter off the rack for temp. use like thread needle I learned from
gpa to layer glasses over the others.
Today I slept in till 7:00.
Got quite a bit of journaling done some on deck, patio as well as our front for planning for the week happened.
I have my outfit picked out for brunch.
I've enjoyed my flowers and got my weeding goal accomplished by today today as I'd
hoped. I was doubtful I could do that. I wanted to do that to make room for new things to go
in various beds. I did pause inside zone stuff this week to manage that.
Gone are the days of burnt toast in bed with eggs the had egg shells in em that kids had cooked
when they were small and hand made cards.
I am enjoying the various colors of blooms in my yard & garden!

Project of the day = 2025 paperwork continues. I'm accomplishing this by incredible small baby steps. My goal is to make the steps so small that I don't resist doing them. Yesterday I established 10 categories to separate the paperwork into. I wrote each of those 10 categories on a 8x11" paper and hung them up over a bench. Every time I walk past the foot tall pile of 2025 papers, I grab some and quickly decide which of the 10 categories the papers belong then drop them into that stack before continuing on my way. No resistance because I'm not giving myself time to think about it but am just doing about 30 seconds at a time. About 75% of the sorting has been accomplished. I suppose this proves I can do a lot more if I limit the constant decision if I want to do it or not.
RE: reading glasses. There is no way i could wear a dangling pair of glasses around my neck. I'm not that coordinated or eloquent to not get them tangled up in whatever I'm doing. I am constantly bending over doing things in the garden and it would frustrate me to keep them out of my way.
When i need to read random small print or look at tiny item, I use my phone camera to zoom in, sometimes I take a picture then deleted it. I do have a pair of reading glasses on the table next to me but only use them once a month or so....then I put them on top of my head and forget they are there. I find them later tangled in my hair and then spend time detangling them and contemplating cutting my hair.

Memories of the children cooking made me smile, Nancy.
LOL, LadyM, I doubt I could manage it outdoors, no - they'd be lost.
I have been the "close reader" for packages, etc., for years, and it is so funny to look at HRH when he asks, now, and just shrug. We got out the magnifying glass, even, and that is truly not going to work. So I'll need to keep a pair somewhere convenient. Should they actually be on my PERSON, however... ..
Ds and ddil came by with tulips to force, several inches tall already, and some fancy socks. Ddil and I commiserated about the very dry weather and how all the flowers look like they are on the verge of greatness or collapse, one or the other, all the time! lol
Ds had golfing chat with HRH, including HRH reminiscing about ds' Dad, my late dh, and how the two of them, when in their early 20s, had the same day off - Tuesdays. They would go and play golf for $6 a person, all you could play, all day. The folks would have to come and tell them they were getting ready to close. Ds says now only children can play that course for that price, 18 holes only (or maybe 9... ..).

Third load of laundry is almost done in the washer. Second load is in the dryer. All of our pants are black or navy blue. 2 of our cats have mostly white fur. They like to sleep on our clothes. I made the mistake of looking through a pile of pants this morning. Three of the four pairs needed to be washed to get all the fur off of them.
Two of the three litter boxes are done and I took out the kitchen garbage.
Washer is singing it's tune, time to go flip the laundry.

I have been to the Sunday brunch at dson's DD and her fam. were there too.
It was good and great foods for diabetics.
Dgson came by and looked at the deck rail will come by and bring tools to repair it.
A simple fix he thinks.
It went well.
Got flowers for the front walk way from dson.
Also some slicer tomato plants.
