Hi Twins' Mom!! Thank you for starting us off this morning.

My superpower is procrastination!
My kryptonite is dirty dishes! I hate them with a passion and yet having to deal with them in combination with hot, soap-y water makes me weak. I would rather do anything other than wash dishes.

I did some last night. There are a few left to do, but I'm ignoring them.

Later...

All inside plants have been watered.

I wish I had a Superpower right now...unlimited productivity and time.

Today is the graveside private funeral for my dcousin. After we will go back to her home to look at pictures and visit. I have a few I'd like to take, need to get them downstairs where I'll take them.

We need to leave in about an hour - I s2sed yesterday afternoon but need to clean up a little, fluff hair and get dressed. And walk dog and finish breakfast/brunch. (Should walk dog before hair is fluffed, because it's so damp out.)

I haven't done "homework" for the two learning sessions on Wednesday or worked on research plan either. OTOH, if I'm pivoting on my renewal project some of the research there less crucial.

I would rather do anything other than wash dishes.

You know that you have choices, right?
DD49 also hates washing dishes so she solved it her way. Years ago, she threw all her dishes away. She only uses disposable silverware, plates, cups, etc in her home. She uses disposable liner for crockpot. Single use aluminum pans in the oven. She does have one skillet but I'm not sure if she throws it away ever use and buys another one when cooking something.
The kicker to this is.....she is currently running a small cafe....which includes washing dishes.
We are all unique in our own wonderful ways.

Last night was emotional for me. I was caught off guard not expecting it. Watching DD14 classmates walk down the aisle in their cap/gowns to the music caused the tears to flow. Happy tears. I understand DD14 decision to not participate in the ceremony and am okay with it. The principal gave DD14 her awards yesterday at school without fanfare -- Superintendent Honor Roll (4.0 gpa all year), Outstanding Student in 3 classes - Science, History & Art.

Today music selection by DH is Led Zeppelin. As each song plays DH names the song title, year it came out, lyrics, who wrote it, etc. Every once in a while, he misses some details but continually astounds me with his memory of music.

DS17 has been successful launched to work and has called me two times already this morning to tell me details of his doings. Someday my phone won't constantly be ringing and I'll miss it. someday....

Next up -

** clean bathrooms
** start a load of laundry

I have been around the house 2x looking for a red and white striped container for decor no luck finding it.
So I improvised with other items I found for my red white and decor for my deck.
Putting on my ability to change my mind super power!

So that did happen yea. Making it festive for the weekend.

Watered out front too & swept the driveway.

My dh told me a long time ago to buy some paper plates. I now have them on a regular basis. We do use them for lunch or toast.

All clean dishes are away. I did the rest of the large utensils and some of the sharp knives. Everything does get rinsed after it's initial use.

Other than the 2 frying pans from last night, everything else is clean and the counter is empty.

PSW should be calling any minute now.

All 3 litter boxes were also done this morning. Bedroom was swept. Blankets on couch were straightened.

Dh and I have had our hot drinks.

Good morning still, it sure feels later, delayed jet lag? I am so sleepy. The men are here changing out hot water heater. What is annoying is the guy came yesterday (this is the second repair person). The first one said the HW heater was going to be 4 to 5 k and we didn't believe him so decided to go to Lowes. Well Lowes sends a company they team with to you. Nick(so sweet) came yesterday. He explained that because of our original unit and how it was installed, I couldn't use one of the Lowe's ones because I had some kind of power one because of the size of our house and how it was installed, you had to either do same kind or I could go with a tankless. But while he was explaining all this re did a restart and the hot water heater started heating again. However he gave us 1500 off a Tankless if we would do it today. So we thought well there was no guarantee the hw heater would keep running thought 2-3k for the Lowes one and 5 k for this one which works with our recirculating system was not in the least part of the budget, I feel we are hemorrhaging money right now. We just got back from our trip (which was mostly prepaid) but we had to replace the mechanics of our garage door, fix our AC while we were gone, now this and our outside screen door caught wind and we have to do repairs on it. I was like is Mercury in Retrograde or something where is all of this bad luck coming from? We decided to do it, it has a 15 year warranty as opposed to 6 and it more energy efficient and was less than 500 different than replacing same for same. I also got a hot shower after 2 days without one so I was grateful it heated last night.

I got the mail sorted and today I will pay the bills as it is payday. We are closing on property on Tuesday we hope as long as the lion's share of the money drops into our account today so we can wire it on Monday. Eventually this will be gifted to MS. giving him half this year and half next year so he doesn't pay taxes and then we will quick claim deed it to him. So he can build his new house he has planned after saving for one more year for down payment. He will be able the use the property towards that as well or if life changes he can sell it for a profit and use it later. He was our cheap child for college. We thought we would even the playing field a bit. I am just proud that all 3 of my guys have bachelors degrees debt free. Now to just get YS a job in his degree. MS has a date this weekend I think, he met a young woman who just graduated with a music degree. They are going for a picnic and to the art museum on campus, even though she graduated from here, she has never been there. She has an unusual name, I am going to have to write it down, it is named after some character in a Lord of the Rings type book. We have not met her of course. He hasn't gone on a date in 2 years. I told him to slow roll this.

We've walked and did a reset on some more of the deck decor.
That was fun and found some items I could use in the holiday stuff, linen closet and other
places in my hide and seek decor shop at home game ! LOL!

So was able to warm up on our walk.
Going to the basement 2 times helped my step count today too.

Well. Well. Well. It has been an eventful couple of hours.
It takes a bit to make me mad but once my temper is stirred up, I can let my opinion known.
I realize that I am emotional with DD14 graduation last night so am trying to tamper down my emotional side and use logic.
I have lost confidence in our financial advisor and am 10000% sure he isn't giving us the complete facts.
In two instance this week he neglected to tell us vital information and one instance he just flat out lied.
He keeps calling and apologizing. Every time he apologizes, it just makes me madder. I quit taking his phone calls so then he started emailing me apologizing. Yeah. buddy. I don't want to hear anything you have to say at this point.
I got DS52 involved....on yeah...the financial advisor told me that I couldn't do that. Mister....I can do whatever I want with our money.
I don't think the financial advisor is a crook, but what do I know? I've lost confidence.
At this point I am mad as a wet hen.
At my request DS52 is choosing another place and moving our investments elsewhere.

I need to turn my focus to something that matters in my home. Food always seems to be high on the list of things that matter. We like to eat several times a day. I'm going to cook....lots....and let my temper calm down.
