Today was my ordinary appt with Gen Prac. Not much to do - isn't time for blood work. He listened intently to my chest because of my recent cough but says my lungs are clear. Just advises Muci nex and Clari tin as I have been doing, until it clears up. My blood pressure was very good - it's always good in his office, not so good at specialists. Anyway, that's done until January.
Two nights ago, I slept like a baby. Last night the coughing was very bothersome. Wish I knew why I go back and forth. HRH says he thinks it's dependent upon how much work I do and whether it's outdoors. So, he says my recuperation day Sunday meant Sunday night was an easier night, then I worked too much with the kids loading trucks yesterday/Monday and had a bad night. Very ready to be finished.
We were gifted fresh asparagus by dd's new dfil. Must make a point to use that up wisely! Yum.

White coat syndrome chat -
HRH advised me today to just know that I can be ready at the various specialists' offices to refer them to my consistent good blood pressure readings at Gen Prac, all these years, and in fact, invite them to look right then. They are all affiliated and HRH says it takes about a split second to check a patient's history on any certain vital marker. For one thing, HRH thinks it might help my actual numbers in the moment if I know there's ALREADY evidence in the room that I actually have good blood pressure! It's obvious that, for some reason, I suffer from white-coat-syndrome, so maybe if I can just stay conscious of the fact that bp info, at least, is already collected, I can stop dreading the numbers they get! I can release some of that tension.
With Muci nex up-ed to the normal dose (I've usually taken just once a day), I seemed to sleep better last night.
Felt like doing a lot of little outdoor chores this afternoon-evening. Air really is oppressive, though.
Ramblin', I hope the migraine was brief.

Hormones sigh ~ sugar & carbs were calling my name yesterday. ACK. That was my challenge.
Today I made up rolls and they are to freeze up for later b/c it's cool 48* this morning.
I have done an early walk @ 6:30 yea!
later mid morning to warm up I went out to a work station in the sun and did arm work out
this was in the form of hand sawing branches to fit in the can! 20 ish min. of that.
Bonus by 10:30 a. m. I had my steps in wa-hoot!
Note: My ddoggo walks a bit faster than me so is good to try to keep up at a faster pace than
I would do with out her.

I went to class this morning, then to coffee and the to two grocery stores and the $ store.
I ordered a dress for my family wedding in mid-august and it came yesterday and I absolutely love it. I ordered it a size smaller on purpose. Even though it’s snug in places it looks wonderful on me. It’s a great motivator for me to stay on my eating plan. I am a happy girl

Stayed on my eating plan, drank my water and got in 13k steps.
Every time I start to loose focus, I go into my closet and look at my dress. Funny how much it brings me joy!

Stayed on my eating plan, drank all my water and danced like a fool in the kitchen last night to get all my 13K+steps in. Also did a few laps around the inside of my house.. Reminds me of RunKittly as she was the first I knew to do that, plus she had stairs if I remember correctly.
Gonna go stare at my dress to get motivated cause I need to get my exercise in ... Silly Me

Yippie!!! I have hit my second goal and have officially lost 10 pounds… onward!
I stayed on my plan, did my weights video and got in 13K + steps. Had to run around my house like an idiot to get in my last 1K steps. Wish I could run like that outside instead of in the house but it’s too hot out and I don’t even run that well on a treadmill.

Congratulations to the success posted here!
I'm reading the CI's and want to be one of the cool kids. I want to set health goals for myself and celebrate when I achieve them.
It can't happen unless I start. So....I am starting today.
