We hope you'll join us here in this monthly thread, where we encourage each other to commit to 15 minutes of clutter control time per day, OR the equivalent on other schedules.
Does anyone have a deadline they'd like to share here, or a plan/schedule toward a particular date?
Have you had a success you'd like to share? It helps all of us to find out when one has made progress!

Re: June Declutter Strategy, 2024
For this I've been working on my goals for June and sort totes and declutter ratty clothes as I put away winter stuff
and bring out the summer ones is on the list.
I did put one and a half can's of weeds to go out in the trash this week on pick up day.
Update one more half can of weeds to put in the can to go on trash pick up day this week yea!

Re: June Declutter Strategy, 2024
The youth at my church has a yard sale the end of the month.
So my strategy is to get that bag of things over to them for that.
I can add to it if I find more items even starting another bag if needed.

Re: June Declutter Strategy, 2024
Huge declutter here over the past two days.
I sent a desk we had been using as a kitchen table along with dd. My new son-in-law will now use it for his desk at new house.
Yesterday, two pickup trucks left here with all they could carry. Furnishings from dd's room, plus more wedding gifts.
Today as they brought our truck back, lots more decisions on the recyclables and trash, letting go of saved boxes.
So, then for weekly work -
When they were gone, I broke down 5 or 6 large boxes they had agreed they wouldn't be needing. That transforms my den back to a place where you can sit! Also, I took out a lot of recycling and trash to the cans. Both those pickups are tomorrow.
Cat neatness -
While doing the usual Tuesday kitty potty chores, I noticed a way I could make a repair on Tobias' potty "house" box. The corner that goes against the wall beside his "doorway", near the nightlight, was showing some wear and less sturdy. Within my recycling, I knew I had one box with the extra support of metal staples along one fold. So, I cut that area out and used packing tape to secure it inside the lower part of the potty box's weakening corner. TaDa, all neat and sturdy again.
Next up -
purchase of a new kitchen table will be very good for us. Using that desk had limited us in what chairs could go under it, how many people could eat there. It was the right height but wasn't all clear space underneath. I predict 2 matching chairs in den and my bedroom will now come back together, switch to the kitchen, and free up space in the other rooms.

HRH continues to delay on purchasing a table, asks me to wait. I've sent him ideas, but he's torn - just not sure. Meanwhile, I'm really missing that surface in the kitchen, although the walking space is nice. I feel we should settle on butcher-block table surface because it goes with everything and is very forgiving. He's still wondering about wood tone like walnut.
Dd texts that she will spend Saturday here working, perhaps even finishing the clearing of "her" room so we have a blank slate to fill in there.
I don't think I mentioned that she took her old tv with her the other day in her back seat - something that hadn't had a space to go yet in a truck bed. It isn't so big, really, just very ordinary, but maybe 1.5 square feet of space freed up? I'm happy with that!
