Sleep - 7 hr 18 minutes with a very high sleep score.
Morning Mile - Day #37
Morning papers - Day #12
Music = Joy - Day #5
Cronometer - 2114 calories.
Hydration - over 100oz
Golden Hour - day #8

I had a stumble yesterday after another stressful encounter with DGS29. I made the decision to buy a bag of chips, drove to store and intentionally ate them. Stress and emotions are not always easy to deal with in the correct way. I am not beating myself up over it. It happened. I recorded the calories and now it is over.
What are morning papers?
My morning pages are evolving. I started by using the recommended bullet type journal and pages. Most of those recommended pages were not useful to me. I kept the ones that are useful and added pages that are helpful to me. I switched from using the recommended journal type book to using 8" x 11" regular lined paper (like in school), graph papers and typing papers. My current morning pages -
** Monthly calendar where I cross off days as they are done.
** daily journal page. I start a new page each day
** OMM list
** LifeSkills that I am currently working with DS15 and DD13
** NTBE (need to be eaten) tracking food to make sure it gets eaten or thrown out in a timely manner
** Monthly accomplishments (July TA-DA's)
** Habits that I am working on. Each habit has its own sheet that I add a star to when i accomplish that habit each day. I don't want to break the chain so it is motivating to me. . Here is example -Morning Mile
** Project folder for each active project. I currently have 4 projects ongoing. The project folders contain the paperwork and plans. I go through them each morning and add next steps to my daily to-do

LadyM, thanks for the overview of your morning papers. I recall you saying you were working with pen and paper and you sound very organized! When you said you stumbled I was going to tell you about falling just now at my workout. I was stepping like we did in the 80s, just up and back, but missed the top and went down to my right. No effect on my left wrist but my glute or hamstring attachment feels like it was stressed.

Anyway, I worked out and have 8K steps already.

Twins - how does your body feel today after the fall yesterday?

Another successful day of keeping focused on ME. Putting a priority on taking care of my health.
I had a lower calorie day yesterday. I didn't intentionally do it, but I never stopped to cook a big meal and I wasn't hungry. I had several mini meals with protein and something else and then I wasn't interested in eating.

Sleep - 6 hr 44 minutes
Morning Mile - Day #38
Morning papers - Day #13
Music = Joy - Day #6
Cronometer - 833 calories.
Hydration - over 100oz
Golden Hour - day #9

I spent 5+ hours in the ocean hunting for sharks teeth yesterday .. usually in waist to chest deep water. Current was strong so my legs, thighs and hips got quite a workout and I was already sore by the time I got home

Didn’t get all my water in for th obvious reason but did stay on my eating plan. Brought my chicken and apple with me for my lunch along with two wasa crackers and a few pecans. Didn’t eat it all for lunch, but finished it off for dinner

RR - what an interesting experience! Did you find any shark teeth?

Nancy - what kind of apples?

We seem to rotate through different types of apples as being our favorite. DD13 is the exception to this because she will only eat green apples. DH and my current favorite apple is Cosmic Crisp. Bonus because they are organic.
One of my daily mini meals is an apple with 100g of cottage cheese (for protein). This mini meal is 193 calories, 12g protein, 29g carb. It takes me awhile to eat which helps to slow down and enjoy the flavors of each bite.

Sleep - 6 hr 32 minutes. I know my sleep is being reduced by teens. DS15 didn't get home until after 10pm. He needed to be up by 6:30 to leave for work. I am thankful that I get high sleep scores when I am in bed and I don't feel tired. I haven't had success taking a nap so I am just going to continue my effort to get in bed as early as possible.
Morning Mile - Day #39
Morning papers - Day #14
Music = Joy - Day #7. Today is Neil Diamond playlist. DH has requested that tomorrow music is Alan Jackson greatest hits.
Cronometer - 867 calories.
Hydration - over 100oz
Golden Hour - day #10

LM the apples are from a 5 in one tree the main part of the tree was cut off shoulder high,
these are from lower branches at the trunk, green and red sort of stripy taste good but very wormy.
I eat very little fruit and it attracted skunks one year so I take em to the field not so many now.
But nearly a gallon a day so that is a good amount of steps for me to add to my day.
I am keeping them picked up b/c of the mice this year.

When the tree was bigger that was one of the main reasons I got chickens to help me with
getting them out of here and the bees. They were in the shop building just over the fence too.

LadyM… we eat the same apples and love them. And yes I found more than 30 of them. They are very small.

Nancy… many communities don’t allow trees with fruit for the same reason as the fruit that drops from the trees attract unwanted animals. In the Phoenix areas there are roof rats! And many who have fruit trees have to daily pick the fruit from the ground. My grand mother had a crab apple tree in her yard when she lived in NJ, but I don’t ever remember hearing about critters eating them and being a problem, but there were always plenty apples on the ground.

I remember my mom making crab apple sauce when I was a kid from my grand mothers tree, but I also remember how sour they were if you took a bite of them.
