Reminding myself that boring is good. Doing the right things over and over might not be earth shattering exciting, but it does eventually lead to success. Consistency strengthens habits.

Last week I lost at 0.08% rate.
This week I am losing at 1.3% rate.
Slowly... OH SO SLOWLY the rate that I am losing weight is increasing.

Argh! What are the chances that I restart my walking habit the day before an ice storm happens?

I acknowledge that I am struggling. I attribute this struggle to being influence by -
** Eating out 4 times this past week.
** Cold weather and ice limiting my ability to get outside.

I am averaging 1366 calories this week which is way more than my body needs.
Steps are super low. Averaging 3396 steps this week (so far)
More calories and less movement result in higher mental stress for me.

I read this online recently....
No one is coming to fix your health.

The only one who can do it is YOU.

And it starts with owning every single bite you put in your mouth.
Of course there is more required than that. But we all have to start somewhere.

It's been a hard week for getting in steps with two days of solid rain. I haven't tried the treadmill upstairs in several years, but I guess I should. I need 8K+ steps today and tomorrow to make my relatively modest goal of 7500 steps as an average. I've been hoping to move the treadmill into the storage space to free up space in my upstairs room.

I'll plan for an extra lap this afternoon with ddog. With a trip out, including the grocery store, I should be okay today. Tomorrow is rain again...

Yesterday I got in over 10k steps. Did a 80’s dance video for 35 minutes I found on UT. I had a blast doing it and danced thankfully like no body was watching.

I found another video that is 45 minutes long that is similar to my kick boxing class that I loved. Will do that tomorrow

Also bought a weighted vest to wear while in my class. Helps to strengthen you core plus increased your calorie burn. I also find it’s helping me with my balance. My friend who wears her in class is 80 yrs old and walks to and from class with hers

I had 1440 steps yesterday after doing my class, running errands and doing 2 15 minute walk videos.

Drank 60 ozs of water and 24 ozs of coffee. Stayed under 1300 calories. Ate chicken for the first time in a while… my hernia accepted it. Also ate a sliver piece of pizza, mostly crust, as a test as well. Did ok with that

Wanted to start a diet bet again but most are already started.. they usually start at the beginning of the month.. so will wait till then

My goal is to loose 15-20 lbs before my 75th birthday which is the last day of April. It’s doable if my hernia cooperates and I can stay focused. On ward 😆

I'm having internet connection problems today. Hopefully they will be fixed soon.

Posting here for accountability. I am imperfectly doing my best to take care of myself.

Hoping the come/go internet will allow me to post this.
