helia, it's about 50 minutes with city traffic to DBD's doctor, but 1) I can only pick her up during breaks between lessons and 2) I wanted to give her some food before we'd hit the road. Plus last time I only left myself 55 minutes and we ended up being 10 minutes late and missed the EEG slot, so I figured I'd rather leave super early today.
good morning, gma! :-)
L.Ann, I think the Committee hearing was interesting. I mean, I have kids. They mess up. They have crazy "reasoning" why something is not their fault, or how I don't have the right facts, or why something they did is not actually a problem at all. And I've seen a lot of strategies on both sides of that hearing that I can either employ or recognize right away when dealing with my kids!
Smile*Lee, you are very inspiring with your gym time!
Dogged, are you with me in sticking with the basics today?

We're home. I messed up during the drive (not exactly my fault, when we were there before Christmas, the entrance to the parking lot was moved a block away, but it's back at the usual place, as I discovered when I got to the wrong block and then had to circle back through a maze of side streets), but we had enough time that even with the parking, potty break and sitting down we were ten minutes early. DBD's EEG came out normal, but there will be no change in her meds, that's out of question till she's out of puberty (hormonal changes could tip the balance). We also got groceries, stopped by garden store, and another mom is doing the taxi duty today taking DBD to her scout session.
I didn't make enough progress on payroll stuff before leaving, so unfortunately that stays ony my list for the evening. Everything is still off with the taxi duty for Terri... hopefully not much longer anymore!

Good morning ☀️
I looked up tulip trees and they are beautiful. We had a Japanese magnolia in pink, I wasn’t aware of the yellow blooms. Thanks for waking up my brain.
Sending good thoughts as you all travel through appointments and life. I’m enjoying catching up with it all. Here and on the old board while it exists. I’ve read from 2007 forward to 2011 so far and captured some good information for my own records, dob for pets, medical records, etc.
I’ve done the basics here, Bible, emails, articles, fed everyone but Mr Turkey.
My poa for the day includes:
Dailies
She board 2011 - current
Hit every room
If I make it this far then I’ll enjoy the outside and work in the yard, I got in clover seeds I need to plant and I need to push mow around the house where it’s looking shaggy already, fill hummingbird feeders, and whatever else I find time for.

I am with you, trissie! Chicken legs are marinating in the fridge with teriaki sauce and a little bottled ginger and garlic, and the the rest of them are in the slow cooker with nothing but chicken stock and a little of that garlic while I had the spoon in my hand. I am gobbling down boiled eggs for breakfast, then scramble to get Germane out the door to walk to the vet.

I think that I might have had a doughnut or two, helia. ;)

That is wonderful that you have grass and clover to mow, decaf. We still have ice on the ground with the brown grass, but I suspect that green shoots are trying to push up.

Wtg, LAnn, Peaches, and beyond!
Trissie, I found where you announced your first pregnancy. This stuff is like finding multiple old diaries combined into one. So sweet. 🥹
Dogged, what’s the temp there? We are in the 70s, not sure what that converts to.
I’m up to late 2011, when my mom was dx with emphysema, she had a good 12 more years I’m grateful for, and she got to pass at home with just me, she was so worried she’d be in a hospital hooked up to machines. That was a blessing. Hope I go the same way. I haven’t made it to dh’s stroke yet, fall of 2011, but it can’t be too far ahead. He’s doing very well now.
Going to do some physical chores to loosen up.

Wow, Bama, that's quite the journey. It shows you how far you have come.
It's just above freezing here, with a good strong sun. The weather was very kind to us: no wind while we were walking up to the vet, and the wind at our back on the way home.

Hi, Peaches

Hi, L.Ann

trissie, that sounds like a good strategy when you are so busy, or pulled in so many directions that you can't settle down to one thing. It gets you started. :)

We are back from the vet, and Germane is sleeping it off in her favourite spot in the bathroom. I am going to get something to eat and take a break before tackling anything. I'm going to need to go through the instructions for the homework for Germane. She is definitely showing her age. Her heart murmur has worsened noticeably, and they're changing her food again. There's some special soap for her skin condition and I'm not sure when we are starting her on the flea/tick prevention.
First to slice some tomato onto naan bread with parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
