It's already after 3 pm. How did that happen?
That all totally makes sense, trissie. In terms of picking up DBD, travel time, feeding her, etc. Goodness, that's a lot to think about. I had those days in my life but they feel like they were a long time ago.
Bama, are you collecting posts and saving them somewhere? You went through a lot in such a short time. ((HUGS)) I'm sorry you lost your parents so close to each other. I've thought about grabbing my old posts. I think Kathryn used to do that. But goodness, that would make a huge file.
And, Bama, is Mr. Turkey a pet or more like a future dinner entree?
Glad Germane is getting good care, Doggedly.

Re: Tulip Tree Thursday @ TDD - C&C
Helian, I guess that’s why I am so empathetic to your journey now, having just lived through different ways of dealing with severa family members. Dh's mom had a much less peaceful, more drawn out, transition. I’m glad your mom has you and pray for you both. Enjoy this time together. Mr Turkey is the last of our pet bird family, we started with chickens, a friend gave us 6 turkeys, all have gone on but him. I take screenshots of dates I want to keep, will add to planners from way back then.
Dogged, hugs for you and Germane. I’m glad you have sunshine and hope you enjoyed the walk.
I took Beau outside with me when I fed the turkey so he could play ball. He found deer poo and rolled all in it, turned his cream face black. Why do dogs do that? He’s been scrubbed. I am still working on laundry, finished up clothes, washing furniture covers now, then rugs, laundry is always there, isn’t it. Going to heat up whatever is in the fridge for supper. Dh should be home soon.

Re: Tulip Tree Thursday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, everyone!
Trissie, I'm glad DBD's EEG was normal, and that you made it to the appointment neither time to spare.
I hope the new meds make a positive difference for DD, L.Ann. Did you all enjoy the playground?
Gma, you're a very good friend to your DF. I'm sure you'll be able to help her understand her condition (s).
The House of David sounds very interesting, Smilelee.
Bama, that's a lot of memories over the years. I'm glad Mr Turkey is a much loved pet!
I hope your Lenten group is productive and thought provoking, Helian.
Dogged, you're a very good Mum to Germane, and I'm sure she's getting the best treatment. How old is she now?
I'm finally sitting down, with Jude on my lap. It's been a very good day. I left home in good time, so I was able to park at the church and then have plenty of time to walk down the the vets, pick up Fred's and Jude's meds, have a chat with the receptionists and walk back up the hill. (Somehow the walk up hill always takes longer than the walk down hill!
) The service was good, and then we had parish lunch at the College. There were only three of us today, so SW is thinking once more of trying different venues to see if that would attract more people. The latest plan is to visit the College one month and another place like the Community café the next month. I've hoovered the inside of the car and power washer the outside, and decided to combine running the cleaning cycle on the washing machine with washing the car cloths. Waitrose have been and the groceries are all PA. I need to remember to take C's chilled stuff out of the fridge when I visit her tomorrow.

Re: Tulip Tree Thursday @ TDD - C&C
Friday's List:
10 am walk to visit C and take her shopping (I've put all her fridge stuff together in one place in our fridge).
I need to do at least a little housework -quick dust/hoover sitting room and ensure kitchen is tidy
I'm expecting another package delivered tomorrow, so when I get home I need to be working in the front garden or indoors
Garden time: feed pots if dry (we may have some rain tomorrow)
DH has an evening meal out (curry?) with the "choir boys" from his choral society - I rather fancy a jacket baked potato for my supper
Write the next section in my blog
Start hemming those curtains?

Re: Tulip Tree Thursday @ TDD - C&C
That sounds like a very good plan, kittykatt, to rotate the venues to see which ones bring the most parishioners out to participate. There might be something about the college, like the time it takes to get there by public transit, or the cost that people don't like to mention but are discouraged by.
I am losing track. I thought that Germane was still 16, but the vet told me that their records show 17 already.
What a wonderful life Mr. Turkey has had, Bama, compared to others of his kind.
I don't know why dogs do that, but it was one of Inertia's specialties. Yuck!
You got lots done, helia, even if it feels like the day got away from you.
Go, Peaches!
Doing great, L.Ann
I have washed some dishes. I think that the chicken is almost ready. Because I wasn't able to get the potatoes in before we left, I plan to remove the chicken then put the potatoes and onions in to cook.

Re: Tulip Tree Thursday @ TDD - C&C
I'm going to have to give up on the idea of potatoes and onions. The kitchen sink is blocked after washing the dishes. I've used the plunger several times, which I think might be helping, and have tried the fishbone which doesn't seem to be doing anything. Stick to basics, right?
