Re: Happy Victoria Day!
Harriet you get some grilled meat and raw veggies and a garlic-y sauce and it gets wrapped in a large pita. You can also get hot sauce if you wish. This all gets wrapped in foil and then pressed on a grill. I've only had 2 and one was in 2014. Dh loves them. They are a middle eastern food. I have no idea what some of the veggie choices are, so I just get onions and the garlic-y sauce. The meat gets grilled on an upright spit and it gets sliced off as needed. It's messy and the sauce looked like it might stain lighter coloured clothing.

Re: Happy Victoria Day!
I'm going to doc office at 1:30 to do a urine sample. Do UTIs resolve themselves? I'm not hurting as much as I was last night perhaps, So I'll be cancelling workout today, doesn't seem like it would be very comfortable anyway.
I got in three laps with ddog, last one with dfriend M and R uby. Good to catch up with her and I like talking to her, even after the social weekend. Dfriends A and V were away for weekend, between busy weekends for us and them, we haven't seen them in a while. I need to check and see if they want to have dinner out tomorrow night, Dh is busy on Wednesday p.m. - a baseball night for clients - and since we're leaving on Thursday a.m. I don't have to attend.
Harriet, glad to see you up to checking in with us. Hope the check in today is quick and easy and you're back out of there.
Our dinner will be grilled chicken, corn on the cob and a caprese salad (tomato, basil, fresh mozzarella,) We ate so much stuff that wasn't good for us this weekend.
I'm mostly puttering around here. Not very productive.

Re: Happy Victoria Day!
I've taken out the bathroom garbage and I've cleaned the second kitty litter box.
I also sprayed home made weed killer around the patio. Not a great thing to do on a breezy day!
I swept the bedroom and the library and mopped the floors in both rooms.
I should have grabbed the book I've been reading before I did the bedroom. I want to go outside and read.
I still have to get to those kitchen jobs that I still haven't touched. I promise to go spray the oven cleaner after I hit "sub mit" for this post.

Re: Happy Victoria Day!
Plumber came with her dad. He’s own the business for years and now she is taking over.
The builders in this phase of the community used cheap materials and labor. Our plumber has done many houses here with the same problem. The water pipes were run through the foundation because it’s cheaper to do and then the connectors that run from the concreat to the water pipes like your sink wear out and cause a leak like a prick in a water balloon.
Eventually all these connections will do the same thing so the solution is to fix the leaky pipe and repipe all the connectors in the house… meaning every where you have a faucet … showers, sinks, toilets, laundry room.
That mean the wall has to be cut into to do the work. Then the sheetrock needs to be patched, sanded and painted. Plumbers don’t paint!
Trying to coordinate everything is a challenge and none but the water damage is covered home owners insurance.
I will have a company come in and deep clean my home once the work is done but I’m gonna be without a kitchen for a while once the work starts. Guess we’ll be eating out for a while.
We will remain in the house. Long ago in another life I help build a 1650 sq ft addition to my then home so I know what I’m in for with this. My contractor can professional treat my mold problem, the sooner the better.
My brother is a contractor who also does mold removal so I am consulting him with every step of this process and he is in agreement with all that’s being done.

Been to doctor's office and left a urine sample but he went ahead and sent a script to my pharmacy. Should be ready after 3 p.m. according to CVS.
The yard people are here right now, I think I'll nap once they are done.

Re: Happy Victoria Day!
Good afternoon!
This will either be very short or broken up -- I have to take DD to work in about :10. I believe next week is her last week of work.
Federal holidays are done very differently in Canada and the US, aren't they? Here, banks, schools, and government offices are about the only things that close, and the stores are open and usually holding sales. I remember when I was a kid, and we were vacationing in Canada in August, and we were there for Civic Holiday. My parents were so perplexed that nothing was open.
Had a blood draw this morning. My hospital system has outsourced their blood labs since the last time I had work done. The experience was horrible. In the past, you'd go, and even when the waiting room was pretty full, you'd get in and out in a reasonable amount of time. This time, I had to sign in through a kiosk with a touchscreen, which told me my wait should be about 17 minutes and offered to text me if I wanted to wait elsewhere. Well, 20 minutes later, I went into the waiting room, and the screen on the wall had my initials with a waiting time of 13 minutes listed. I took a seat in the waiting room, and it stayed at 13 minutes for quite a while. Good thing I went in and watched the screen -- the only text I got was the one acknowledging that I had requested to receive texts. Then, when I got back there, the nurse taking my blood had to do all the receptionist duties --taking my insurance, having me sign permission, etc. -- before she could take my blood. Now I'm wondering if my results will be ready for my cardiologist visit on Wednesday. Under the old system, they'd likely be posted to my electronic file before the day was out.
Back from taking DD. Not sure what I'll do next -- there's nothing new in my work email. I guess exercise, since I'm eating lunch now, and then laundry, since that's the next card.
Sorry to hear of the mold woes, Rose. Good to keep and end to those nose troubles and the new tile in mind -- keep the sunny side up, although it sounds like you've got a long row to hoe.
I've not heard of UTIs resolving themselves, Twins, so it's a good thing you've got that appointment!
Good to see Harriet here! I hope this afternoon's appointment goes well.
Time to go *Poof!*

Re: Happy Victoria Day!
(((RR))) That is putting it mildly. It is a huge project, but I am confident that you are the person that can pull it off. That doesn't mean it will be easy though! Remember to take care of you through this entire process.coordinate everything is a challenge
I made lunch for the fellas. DS16 came home for lunch so we could do conference call with surgery clinic. I am not sure they could say anything that will ease my concern about emergence dilerium, but they are aware and they seem confident they can handle it. It is a 30 minute to a one hour surgery to remove the 4 wisdom teeth so hopefully I am just over thinking this, and it will be as easy as can be. DS16 has a couple friends who recently had a wisdom tooth removed and they were up and about a couple hours later. I think having all 4 removed will be a bit different recovery. Who knows? Youth typically go through medical things so easily and recover quickly. DS16 is all for having these removed now because as he say "I want to get it over with. I don't want to have to pay the $4k for this surgery when I am on my own."

Stay motivated. Success loves persistence.

LM when I had 4 wisdom teeth out it was with nitrous oxide aka laughing gas,
I was not all the way out. Hoping it goes well for dson for you.
I'm SO glad I mowed when I did it's rained this afternoon here.
I noticed that rain was in the forecast.
Seeds are done falling from the tree now.
Maybe a few are left to finish as they ripen.
So happy I got the tasks done and folded the clothes and put them away.
I can think of one thing to do I'll do it in a bit.

Re: Happy Victoria Day!
I join Mystery in a strangely different blood draw day. So crowded there at labs, some kind of emergency had happened but we don't know what. HRH had to wait in hall. By the time I was out I was late for appt but they seemed to know I would be. Then NP decided I should have platelets, so that added well more than another hour and we got out very near commuter traffic. HRH did trip miracles of changing routes over and over to the old-timey ways/roads and we got home quickly.
But at home, where he was already complaining that he had left too many dishes, our sink suddenly poured water underneath, onto floor and his feet before he realized what was happening.
I was taking a call (procedure now scheduled will take a day away from my long weekend) and before I knew how bad it was, both sons involved. Parts may be available tomorrow, maybe not.
I have washed my few dishes at bathroom sink and brought back to drain in kitchen. It will take a lot of thinking to get through next few days. I have alraady forgotten once and run water there. Sigh.

Re: Happy Victoria Day!
Five gallon buckets could be of some help Harriet.
And paper plates. One time we used the camper till the issue was resolved.
So sorry for that happening while you were on a call.
I was chilled and had decafe' tea after soup with my dinner.
Have been taking it easy after a pretty busy 1st half of the day.
Did a small amount of weeded between showers this evening.
