Re: Say it Saturday PWYC
Say it... hmmm. I don't have a lot to say today. I woke up feeling kinda anxious and uneasy. I don't really know why. My stomach was bothering me a little bit, but not enough to take Zofran.
DGD kept me busy and that helped a little. We played volleyball with a cloth block and set up her little Playschool doll house, then sorted out a bunch of Lego men for battle, but she decided she did not want to play that anymore, and I took her home. When I took her home, DGS came home with me, and it is impossible to dwell on oneself -- or anything else, for that matter -- when DGS is around. I don't know how he manages to stay out of trouble at school -- he talks constantly when he is here. He is running an imaginary football schedule on the computer and he constantly updates me on his standings.
He and I have both s2s * and I colored my hair, which was desperately needed, IMHO * and we will go get ds in a about 20 minutes, to go to a bluegrass festival near Tupelo, MS.
DDIL and DGD are home from the swimming party, apparently, because DS just called to see if DGD had left her phone here at my house. Yes. All we do around here is look for phones and eat.
Talked to daunt, who had tried to call dmom and couldn't get her.
I called dmom, and she called me right back. It is hard for others to get her on the phone, because she is very slow to get up and across the room where the phone is. If she knows it's me, she will call me back, but she said when daunt called, it said "wireless caller," and apparently she didn't listen to the message. She doesn't keep the cordless phone right at the sofa, where she is usually sitting, because the battery runs down too fast, she says.
It's very annoying to me, because no one can ever get her to the phone, but I guess I could have higher class worries.
Daunt said she had had Covid and the flu! She was still coughing a lot, but she said my cousin brought her some "homebrew" and she had finally been able to sleep last night.
I have PUPA somewhat, but it is obvious the dgrands have been here, and I still have dishes in the sink. And the vacuum cleaner is still in my bathroom -- never did the rest of the house and now the bedroom and bathroom need it again. SMH. I am thinking I will have to do all I possibly can on Mondays, before dgd comes over, when DGS starts his early morning practices. She will be here to spend the night M-W, but I think DS will probably take her home when dgs' practice is over. Of course, in July, I will be responsible for getting her to "Wonderful Wednesday." And I will likely be helping with that too, so Wednesdays are going to be busy.
I better sign off -- y'all have a good weekend!
