Gma, you are so kind to your mother. I'm glad that her toy dog brings her comfort.

Helia, I had always thought that Wagon Wheels were American, so it took me by surprise that you had never heard of them. I guess because of the cowboy reference. In Quebec, we had Mae West, which were small cakes the same shape as Wagon Wheels, but they were chocolate coated white cake with yellow icing in the middle. That was my preference. I remember reading somewhere that Vachon made them that shape because of rationing in the war.

LOL, Jojo My Walking Pet, Kittykatt! At least, that is what it was called in Canada when my friend's son was desperate for one for Christmas. He was a very active little boy, and my friend could not see him being happy with one that moved so slowly. So she bought him a knock-off that looked the same but was a dog on wheels that you pushed with a stick, and when the wheels reached a certain position, it would do a tiny hop and yap once. He didn't know the difference, so all were happy and he could run to his heart's content with it.

Welcome Twins' Mom! Yes, the extensive To Dos are carried over from day to day, and we can celebrate anything that gets knocked off them.

I am not going to post any To Dos. As so often happens, a good day with my knees is followed by a bad one (maybe because I took stuff downstairs with a dog tucked under one arm and the handtruck in the other with no hands left for the cane?), went up and down the few stairs to the locker and then walked Germane around the grounds before we came back up.) I'm walking with my can inside the apartment today, so we'll see if laundry has to be put off for another day. There's still plenty that I can do in this state.
First thing is to try to get a headcount for Saturday's dinner out, and then try again to call db.

Twins, I have a great capacity for writing things down but not so much for keeping up with them. Yes, I recopy some lists each day, the schedule and brain dump lists.
I looked up pics of the cookie, Doggedly. It looks like there's a great variety; some remind me of girl scout cookies so maybe I have eaten one. I hope your knees improve today. Are you hosting a dinner on Saturday?
That's an early morning, L Ann. Glad you get a free day. Did DGS11 (I think that's his age) enjoy his time?
That's a long phone call, Kitty! Sounds like you had a lot to talk about.

I'm back from my jog; I think I've stopped sweating but I'm not sure. It was hot, I think at least 80*F when I finished. I did the arb hill which is fairly wooded but there were still spots of sunshine; jogging uphill in sun and heat is not fun - but I did it. I'm sitting and drinking a cold soda (zero) now and will hop in the shower soon. I think I need to throw my jogging bra in the wash; it is soaked. Maybe TMI. . .

Next:
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- menu plan and groc. list

Later:
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- menu plan and groc. list
- get groceries (a trip to Kroger?)
- put groceries away
- lunch
- setup new file folder organizer and finish desk
- make guest beds
- 15 minutes on fridge
- writing time
- read! :)
- dinner: chicken fajitas, green salad
- after dinner clean up
- duo
- update health apps

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- dressed to jog
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- back exercises
- jogged the arb hill

HI, twins mom! thanks for stopping by.
Lists that I used to make never got done because I found so many things that needed doing before I could start my list.
Now I write my list for tomorrow before I go to bed - of things that NEED to get done. and I make it doable in length - usually.
-THREE
A few years ago I cut out a portion of a comic strip called DILBERT. He is sitting at his computer and looking at his phone. It is still on my refrigerator:
First square: I accomplished fifteen tasks on my to-do list today!
Second square: THAT LEAVES ONLY SEVENHUNDRED TASKS, NOT COUNTING THE TWENTY-THREE I ADDED TODAY.

So here's my list for today
 Grabage out
 Recycle out
 check on neighbor C who came home from her vacation sick
Check on dfBS who thinks she needs help removing a sliver of glass in her finger
Get corn on cob from local truck
empty dehumidifiers at my house an mother's
transfer $ to dgs university account, as I am helping with tuition. He thanks me by helping, mow the grass, etc. [he's getting about $500-750 a mow if you divide it out, but we're not counting  ]

I suppose if getting dressed can be on the list, I have done that.
added after talking to C-> pick up a couple things at the stroe for her

Hi! :D
Great link for the animatronics as well as other information. It’s kind of funny to read of wild Wild West treats made in other countries but not in the actual “Wild West”. I’ve avoided chores all morning and now they’re glaring at me.

Dust
Vacuum
Mop
Cook brunch
Cook chili
Make cobbler
Laundry
Move outside table
Level outside cat house

I doubt I’ll get that much done but here goes nothing.

*Dd2 leaves today and I want to send some comfort food with her so cooking is the priority.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

Yes, helia, I had decided to spend my first Old Age Security cheque taking my dfs out to dinner. This is my first one, with the family that I boarded with when I went bankrupt, and ended up being part of the family.
WTG on getting your jog done, even with the heat.

It will be easier for him next time, L.Ann, as he will have already done it. WTG on all that you got done.

I love Dilbert, Gma. The pointy haired boss, Catbert the evil HR, and Ratbert who is only nice character in the series, but whom Dilbert rejects because he's a rat. He seems to keep expecting Dogbert to be nice because he's a dog, no matter now much experience he has to the contrary.

My chores are glaring at me too, Bama, so I will call my db for help to evade them.

That's a kind way to use your first check, Doggedly.
Stay cool walking outside, L Ann. I imagine it's even warmer where you are.
He he, I know that feeling when chores glare at you, Bama!
Hi Peaches!
Oh, Dilbert! I like Dilbert, Gma. My ds31 was obsessed with that comic when younger. My mom even made him a Dilbert quilt for his HS graduation gifr. LOL! That sounds about right regarding lists.

Looking for mojo for the next task - grocery shopping. I might just do an order. . . They're so convenient. A teacher friend I haven't seen for a year (she has been teaching in Laos) will be at the school at 3:30; I think I'll try to stop by and say "hi!"

Next:
- unload dw
- start laundry
- menu plan and groc. list

Later:
- menu plan and groc. list
- get groceries (a trip to Kroger?)
- put groceries away
- setup new file folder organizer and finish desk
- make guest beds
- 15 minutes on fridge
- writing time
- read! :)
- dinner: chicken fajitas, green salad
- after dinner clean up
- duo
- update health apps

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- dressed to jog
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- back exercises
- jogged the arb hill
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- kitchen reclaimed; dw running (didn't run it last night)
- lunch
- some qt
- payroll: phone call with AC  Enrollment looks low for next session. I may not get a class? I am asking about their process for assigning classes since I have seniority over many of the teachers + I am good at my job -- unless there's something that they're not telling me. She will ask the director; I willingly step out from time to time during a busy spat in my life and also to help the other teachers who need the income more than I do, but I don't want to be set aside permanently if there's now a downturn in the ESL business.
