It's Conga Friday! PWYC

I think it is time that I really need to go to Wmart. Sigh. Only two Diet Dr. Peppers in the refrigerator. Lots of Propel water and diet peach tea, but I do need my carbonated caffeine. AND, more importantly, I am child-free for awhile. I think ddil and dgd are going shopping for back-to-school clothes today this evening.

I also need to conga around the house with y'all, but I just don't have much will for it. Both kids will be here tomorrow night, and it's kinda like washing your car in the rain when they are messing up stuff as fast as I can clean it up. Dgd plays with lots of things -- stuffed animals, toys in the bedroom, Legos, etc. I have TRIED to instill some habits of PUPA, but it's not becoming a habit for her yet. DGS hardly touches anything except the computer, occasionally a soft (Nerf-type) ball that he will be pitching around in the house, but his "footprints" are more likely to be food wrappers, empty drink cups and bottles, stuff like that.

We finally got a heavy rain! Praise the Lord! I think it has stopped now, so I must get out and get busy. I hope I don't come home with a partridge in a pear tree, LadyM! LOL!!!

Y'all, I almost ordered an anti-procrastination book, it was FREE. BUT... when you added to your cart, there were a TON of other things there, $1.99, $3.99, etc, and it all added up to a LOT. I deleted all the stuff except the free item, and then saw there was an $11.99 charge for something, printing/shipping, I don't know.
Now, $11.99 isn't going to be the difference in whether I eat or not, but I just didn't like the sneaky way of roping customers in. So I am going to stop procrastinating (for now, today) and get myself headed to Wmart.

Well, what did I actually do today... hmmm.... I went to a local (sort of) needlework store that isn't a chain store and picked up 3 things of DMC floss. I also had a short visit with the owner's dd. I rarely see her mother, but I hadn't been in for a few months, so I stayed for 5 or 10 minutes to catch up with what's new there. Then I went to a Costco and got what dh needed. I also picked up the 2 pack of shampoo because we are on the last bottle. I walked right past the mouthwash and I was sure there was one at home. Got home later and dh said "We need mouthwash the next time you go."

I called a local restaurant to order something to go. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I told them I was 20 minutes away and I would see them when I got there. Picked it up just as they were putting my to-go bag on the counter.

Got home to drop off Costco stuff and my supper for tonight just in time to go back out the door to the afternoon knitting group.

We have had supper. Dh had his chicken livers or whatever-it-is that I won't eat. Now we are both on our computers. I have 3 cats that are all rubbing around my legs waiting for their supper.

It's nice to have a fresh haircut and fresh pedicure. I also dropped off the UPS packages so that's gone. Should put some more stuff online...need to take photos of ink pads and refills, I think I'll sell those next. There seems to be more of a market for those, vs stamp sets. I took a short nap this afternoon, I'm not sure ddog ever got her afternoon walk but whatever. She doesn't seem unhappy so I'm letting it go.

I got in some reading time.

Tomorrow dh has torah study and then a funeral. Late the in the afternoon we're going to an exhibit/opening at the public library, then on to dinner with friends. Sunday supposed to be at the lake.

Got a pharmacy script ordered. It's ready very quickly but I don't suppose we can pick it up for a day or so.

Decluttering getting done as I'd hoped.

Big thunderstorm was sobering and impressive.

Amazed at all the back-to-school happenings... .. can it really be that time already?

9.12. 25 is the new movie in our area.

Flood advisories are up b/c of the fires just getting a bit of rain here.
I think some went around us and more on the way it looks bad on my phone app.
but so far has not materialized.
Saw a branch came down on the corner where they had done some tree work a month or so ago.
It's not so big but did land on their roof.
