Gma, that is a mystery to us all too. I wonder if dd29 was always celiac, and we just didn't know it? Or is it something that can develop over time? Dd29 had stomach aches off and on as a child but not anything unusual, so I thought. The GI Dr. who did the endoscopy procedure told us in the recovery room afterward that her intestines looked very bad and he was quite sure that she had celiac -- before the biopsy was even sent it.
Bama, I do slow mornings too. And slow afternoons - after lunch. It's hard for me to transition from lunch back to being productive -- I'm not sure why. On days I work, like today, it's partially bc I eat lunch late, like around 1:30, and by the time I'm done, I'm sleepy.
You're getting lots done, Doggedly. You're a good friend to your gluten free friend!
Hi Peaches.

Dbro plane has landed. I'm home frmo errands. Groceries bought, stuff mailed, flowers ordered, hair appointment made for mother - mid september! was the soonest hairdresser and I both had free time at the same time!
I've made cookie dough, but then had to start supper so didn't get any baked. The dough is in the fridge.
Doggedly, I wondered why you donated a box of peepads.
My oak tree is dropping acorns onto my roof. It's noisy!
supper is in the oven, as well as a pie that has been in the freezer needing to get baked.
I'm tired.

Bama, I agree. In fact, I believe that there is a commandment [somewhere  ] that says to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Sabbath means rest. I think it's about making sure that everyone gets time off, time to rest. That time should be held important and not something to intrude upon. It's part of ten rules that keep individuals and societies healthy.

So many interesting conversations today. I'd be here too long to chime in on all of them.

I am home from work. Rested for a bit and now I'm thinking I should do. something . Anything. Atm it's kinda working Casper walk after supper. We actually have a bit of a hot spell. By then it's cooler and I have more energy by after supper. Check ds laundry and actually start the load . Water outside . Ds put chicken drumsticks in the oven does he know what goes in it or am I doing the rest. And get Casper after watering.

I have to check in on dad he said something about watching mom tomorrow. Maybe I can bring ds along and get a start on digging potatoes? I have a time limit. I have a 12 00 massage appointment.. should leave his house by 1130. Massage.. bring ds autism report to school. Then see what is left of the day.

Thanks for the reminder that it's OK not to be productive all the time, Gma and Bama. Now, could you just tell that to dh?
Lauralind, maybe it's good to have an end time (massage appointment) for your time at your parents' tomorrow.
You got a lot done today, L Ann. WTG with all the paperwork progress!

I had a wonderful time with my df. We both agreed not to leave it so long.

Gma, the rescue that Germane came from had put out an urgent request for pee pads and canned food, as they were running out. The pee pads weren't surplus, but I had enough that I could share. Everything else I donated was something that I didn't need.

Hi, Peaches

WTG on all that you got done, Bama. I am just grateful when life allows me to be not a morning person, so I can work when I feel more productive.

Thank you, Bama. I do my best. :) Speaking of lemon-flavoured food... I found a lemon cake half off when I stopped at the grocery store for bread.

You got so much done today, L.Ann. WTG!

Our heat has lifted and we are into cooler weather, Lauralind. I guess we sent the heat to you. Sorry about that.

Tuesday
Cleaned up after dog
Put away some of the dry dishes
Found an offer to refund the equivalent of a Costco membership
Signed up for Costco (something I have been meaning to do for years)
Recorded the new password
Priced pee pads
Ordered pee pads
Gave Germane her Benedryl
Spot cleaned floor and my croc (Germane left a glob of dog food on the floor and I stepped in it)
PA the rest of the dry dishes
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed all of the dishes.
Checked the cans and bottles on the counter and put the dry in the recycling can
Showered/washed hair
Settled dog in pen
Supper out with friend
Stopped at grocery store for bread. Found a lemon cake. Close enough.
Brought up groceries
Freed Germane. Spoonsful of dog food to celebrate
Cleaned up after dog
Put away groceries

It's fine doggedly. It took till July to get warmer. The only real hot came in Alberta at dd place and cooled down when we got home. August actually was a decent temperature but lots of rain and wind and such. A little warmth is welcome in my books long as it doesn't bring fires yet. So far they're not an issue here yet.

Well ds did make supper. I watered outside what needed it. Brought Casper in and he was determined walk time was first ds put chicken in the oven and meant to put sauce on at the end. Forgot the sauce while creating his pasta. Garlic and chili flakes. Spicy noodles. Hmmm. And plain meat. Oh well it was food lol 😆. Of course now I'm thinking it's dessert time. Or something. Spicy pasta like that was a little different for me. That's him Experimental. It was inspired from some real Italian dish...

Do I want to make milkshake again?
