Happy Birthday LucyLee, Harmony and Sherinjoy!
Thank you for starting us off on this Thursday LadyM!
Compost, garbage and recycling are all at the end of the driveway. This morning I need to deal with 2 litter boxes. I also have some pots/pans/large utensils/large dishes to deal with before I go out to lunch with a friend.
I also have to wash a few spots on the floor.

Re: Celebrating LucyLee Thursday
lucylee, I think I'll get a card in the mail to Harmony today. It will be belated, but I love the belated ones. Yes to wishing she could come in and give us advice sometimes!
Happy birthday to lucylee, who often Posts When You Can in the evening, surprising us the next morning with what she was pondering.
The Fun and Games thread posters give us that advantage, too, with more varied perspectives from village clocks.

Re: Celebrating LucyLee Thursday
Just got back from dropping off DD14 at school after a lively chat during the drive. She’s staying after school to finish up the class float for tomorrow’s parade.
DH has a fasting blood lab appointment this morning, followed by a visit with the family doctor to review his recent test results for heart, lungs, bones, and blood.
Homeschool is in progress, and I need to increase both the difficulty and number of assignments for DS17 since he’s breezing through them without much challenge.

Re: Celebrating LucyLee Thursday
I awakened naturally at 6:45 this morning after 5 or 6 hours sleep and I'm going to grab the opportunity to try to tug my own sleep schedule back into line - any line. It has been all over the place.
Laundry is in the dryer.
Groceries put away.
fruit first-breakfast eaten.
The new toaster arrived yesterday afternoon, and it is juuuuuust right. Very pleased. Slowly getting the appliance situation here back on track. Dishwasher will be high-ticket, though. Still no timetable from construction guy on when he could get around to that.
I wish the air-fryer wasn't black. Sigh. It looks odd in a white/aqua/cherry-red kitchen. Do people make fabric appliance covers for air fryers?
I guess not traditionally... ..
Next up
Fold laundry
make skillet breakfast

Happy Birthday; to Lucy L. & Harmony & sherinjoy as well!
That reminds me of when I turned 21. yesterday DD called to talk about dgson's bride to be 21st bday party.
I learned of it but was not on the guest list,
so frees me up to not invite them to my party coming up soon.
Having it later b/c of the labor day weekend.
Yesterday was a joy for me.
Today up at 4:30 still dark out been raining some partly cloudy today 65* / 85* F. today's temps.
Despite the rains sill only in the moderate air quality range a bit disappointed as I have some bulbs to plant.
is back to the regular day type of stuff.
Dailies / a weekly task or two are OMM as well.
Been journaling and getting ideas on the page.
Cooked my bfast.
Next up clear an area to dig holes for my new daff. & tulip bulbs.
Cleared dug some soaked it and will have to repeat until I have it deep enough it's dry despite rain yesterday.
We have walked. Ack 73% humidity! Those 35 bulbs 25 tulips pink & purple lighter in color, 15 big daff. ones are now planted
I put em an a trench did not actually touch the dirt!

Re: Celebrating LucyLee Thursday
Just got back from DH's medical appointments. They had to try three different spots—left elbow, right elbow, and right hand—before finally managing to draw blood. I definitely prefer going to a blood lab with experts over having nurses handle it. Lesson learned for next time—I’ll insist on it. Overall, DH had good test results. I was especially curious about his cholesterol numbers since I halved his rosuvastatin dose due to mental side effects when also taking Plavix. His cholesterol levels stayed the same as before, so I’m calling this experiment a success and will continue with half dose.
Homeschooling is happening, and we're butting heads a little. Nothing major, just the usual interactions between two strong-willed personalities.I appreciate that DS17 remains respectful towards me, even when we don’t see eye to eye.

Sometimes you can ask for a finer needle, and I have had people say about HRH that they just switched to the size they have readily available to use for children and no problem. Don't know. HRH swears by the particular phlebotomist at our general practitioner's office and will wait for him if necessary, like one might wait for a certain barber. A phlebotomist at hospital, though, took a couple extra sticks for me. However, I will admit that even though she had to try other sites, she was a pro in that the previous ones she tried did not leave any visible evidence, and I can't say that about ER nurse who did it last year - ugh. I should have known, though. That nurse was brand new.
Back from the mailbox and did make the mail today.
Walked for the first time in a long time around the front of the house and am so pleased that volunteer impatiens have populated the beds, with only a few sticky weeds in there, not yet gone to seed or even close. But now, I can't find my garden gloves. I'm sure HRH has put them somewhere during this time I haven't been using them regularly. Frustrating. I have two pair, but neither anywhere to be found all of a sudden. I'm not supposed to do weeding anyway, but it gets on my nerves to see exactly what I want done and have to postpone.
Skillet meal is eaten and laundry finished and folded.
Bathroom spif up next.

Post and run.
Frustrating morning, adapting to company here at home is hard sometimes, particularly when I try to use the kitchen counter computer to do things.
Gotta get a small snack and get ready for workout later. I have the donwannas for things I "should" do and want to do what I want to do, lol.

Re: Celebrating LucyLee Thursday
After today, our temperatures are expected to drop by 10-15 degrees. Bring it on! I love summer, but I'm ready for a change.
I've been texting with DGS28 all day. I absolutely love it when the grandkids text me just to chat. It means so much to be trusted as a sounding board while they navigate their life decisions.
SOMEONE (seeing the finger pointed at me) let the toilet paper stash run low. I ordered two cases, so I’m probably not the delivery person’s favorite customer today. The delivery was massive in size, but at least it was relatively lightweight given how big it was. If Sam's Club ever gets rid of free shipping, I'll have a hard time keeping staples stocked at home.
The hip pad and digital SHE cards are helping me stay on track with today's tasks—63 cards completed so far.
Today marks the start of our little town's annual three-day weekend fair. Despite being a small community, we pull off an impressive event, entirely run by volunteers. The stock show runs throughout the day, while most other activities take place in the evening. There's a parade, pioneer exhibits, live music, tractor pulls, various games and contests, freshly prepared food, free ice cream churned using a tractor, free popcorn, a pie auction to support the school library, carnival rides for kids, and much more. I'm excited to spend a few hours there over the next three days—it's the perfect relaxed setting to reconnect with friends we haven't seen in a while.
