Trissie, thanks for the start, and wishing all your children well at the beginning of their new school year. There's always a lot of new info at the beginning!
doggedly, I am sorry to hear that Germane is developing dementia. You have take very good care of her, given her a good life since you rescued her.
helian, I'm happy to hear that your tummy is handling the lyme disease med
kittykatt, laurlind, l.ann, bama, peaches, sounds like eventful days for all of you, too. I hope I remembered everyone.
I am leaving in the morning to attend a book club gathering at a city nearly 2 hours away. As a guest of the hostess who is leading the discussion of the book. She asked me to contribute with a report of the non-fiction book that the novel is based on. So I have spent most of my day trying to create a report that will be interesting and not too long, I think I have it at about 20 minutes, which should be just about right. I'm not sure what to delete to make it shorter.
I stayed in bed until after 11 am, tired from all the activity when my dbro was here, then having MrVKM here for a good part of yesterday afternoon, including making and serving a meal, plus clean up, tho it coudln't have been easier - leftovers, and the dw was ready to receive the dishes.

University started for my grandson a week ago, but they do have labor day (today) as a holiday, so he and my son did some fishing at my cabin to relax over the weekend. Labor day is a holiday in the US, dedicated to the work of the ordinary laborer. Other than that, I don't remember the history of the holiday.

I'm just about ready to get ready for bed - but mother just called, and she sounded very confused, then hung up even tho she didn't mean to.
I'l see ehr tomorrow afternoon, on my way home from the book club meeting.
