I've done my exercises for today: 29 hearts

⭐ Sleep = 7hr 23 min average in September. Goal is 7-9 hours
⭐ Hydration = 120oz+
⭐ Food tracking = 450 days logging
__ Calories = 1353 average in September. Goal is <1200
⭐ Protein = 37% average in September. Goal is >36%
⭐ Fruit/Vegetable servings = 6 average daily in September. Goal is >5
⭐ Steps = 7247 average in September. Goal is >6k.
⭐ Hours of moving my body = 10 hours a day average in September. Goal is >9
⭐ Exercises = 10 Goal is >7
⭐ Weight change 0.0 September average weight compared to August average. 31 lbs lost since July 5, 2024

I am starting the process to select what healthy habits I will focus on during the month of October. My main WHY is to develop habits from the knowledge that comes from paying attention to my body and remaining curious.

I started posting daily on H&F in July 2024 because I was 40 lbs overweight and felt like cr*p. I have used this forum to document my efforts and to hold myself accountable. Posting daily has been invaluable to keep me on track.

My thoughts about weight.......I have been at the exact same weight (averaged) for 3 months. I want to lose another 10 pounds to be at my dream weight, but I don't know if that is going to happen at this phase of my life. There is just so much i can cram into my doings and I feel like I am reaching the full mark. I am raising 2 teenagers and caring for a husband with memory problems. I am homeschooling DS17 in his final year of high school. Our home has frequent visitors with family & friends dropping by. I turn 70 years old in October. I prepared food for approx. 70+ meals a week in our home. With all these facts stacked together I know that stress plays a big part of weight loss and i have plenty of stress. Losing those last 10 pounds is important, but I am not sure they take priority over other things that I am focusing on. IYKWIM However, I am not ready to quit trying.

I’m genuinely interested in taking the time and effort to understand how my body and mind react to gluten. It’s something that sparks my curiosity.

Wow, Lady M, with all that going on in your life and the big responsibilities, I'm not surprised your body is stressed! Ring honest, I know I could also do with losing a few kg, but, also being honest, I'm just not that motivated right now to seriously think about doing anything about it. :oops: However, I know I'm happier and more relaxed when I spend time in my happy place (my garden), and I think that could be the same for you? Maybe that could be one of your habits this month - to make an appointment with yourself ( on you calendar / diary if necessary) to spend time in your garden each day. Not necessarily "doing" anything, maybe even just sitting and enjoying being there. (Of course, if you're anything like me, you'll always find the odd thing that needs deadheading and a stray weed that needs pulling up! :lol: )

Lady Maverick, you’ve got a lot going on. I’m not sure if I’d try to lose weight with the holiday season coming on now, but that’s my excuse every year. You’re doing great tracking and being aware so I’m sure you’re improving in all areas, not just the scale but overall health which counts for a lot.

Kittykatt, love seeing all of your hearts. You’re doing so well at keeping your habits up.

Pelvic exercise has been pretty easy. I’ve given the dogs a break for the past few days but I’ll keep both habits for next month and add a new one. Not sure what it will be yet. TBD.
