Hello, everyone!

Just a quick CI as it's late. Today's been good - a busy morning and early after, and then relaxing. We had someone from the local Street Pastors give a talk at church this morning, I stead of the usual sermon - a very good speaker. DF E was in surprising good spirits for someone of nearly 100, who's recently had a fall. Fortunately although she's bruised and has a cut on her face, she didn't break anything. (And,.of course she has grab rails,.her walker and other sides, but this time it was her slippers at fault - they were very worn. So her DGD has ordered her a new, much safer pair with a proper grip , which should arrive tomorrow.)

When I got back home all the cats wanted attention :D before I could even think about cooking .lunch. Today's menu was roast topside of beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire in pudding, gravy, horseradish relish, Savoy cabbage, carrot and peas, followed by coffee creme..Then I folded and PA laundry, and then pruned a little off the top of my climbing hydrangea. And the. I may on the sofa with Matilda on top and watched Poirot with DH - winter is definitely coming!

trissie, I can't believe your dh drove from Michigan to Oregon!! I mean, I do understand it with the sensitive equipment, but that's a lot of time to spend in a car. For us, it is 2300 miles from our city in Michigan to Seattle. There is no way we have the time to be in a car for as many days as would be needed to drive there -- and then to drive back. Probably 3 days there and 3 back, minimum. Also, my dh does not do road trips well; he doesn't enjoy driving and sees driving (and generally any time in the car) as a waste of time - unless he can be working, which he could do some of the time. I'm just praying for a safe flight. Perhaps the government will be back by then.

I'm heading to bed now. I need to get up early to be otd on time for a 7:45 medical appointment in another town.

Sleep well all!
