Oops hit enter too soon I guess.
Cl, hope you feel better. I love our tree farms for the experience, the trees we grow here have really flimsy limbs so hard to hang much on them so I prefer the trees shipped in from up north. They don’t last long though, which makes me wonder how they can start selling them before Thanksgiving, seems like a fire hazard.
Laura, I hope your weather is just what you wish for. We got over a foot of real snow last year and I loved it. It stayed around for over a week in my yard, which dips down and stayed shady. I’ve only experienced sleet that turns to ice in my lifetime here which isn’t nearly as fun. The snow killed a lot, we didn’t get any satsumas locally as it killed all the trees, but I will take snow anytime. (As long as I can stay home and don’t have to drive anywhere because people here are crazy and can’t stay home which led to accidents)
LAnn, best of luck preparing everything and everyone before surgery.

Re: Wexford Blackcurrant Jam Wednesday
We're used to snow up here. Nothing shuts down in winter just these first couple times that can get scary on the roads cause the texture is different when it's not cold enough yet.
Ds is off at school. This snow better be gone tomorrow. Early morning. Ds has to leave the school at 6 on his trip. He's going to Vancouver Island for provincial in cross country. Home Sunday night. The race is Saturday morning but pretty much 2 days travel with the ferry in between. Greater Vancouver tomorrow and over on Friday with prep etc. Race Saturday morning and back to mainland for night. Then home Sunday. Big trip for him but as of yet he has not shown me any nervousness.
Well now he's off. I have not heard from dad yet. I'll get busy on routines and see how far I can get.
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some
Sweep everywhere

Re: Wexford Blackcurrant Jam Wednesday
Bama, that does sound scary when both your health and the baby's are in danger. F's blood pressure was a bit higher than they liked, so she stayed an extra day. The C section meant she was staying a bit longer anyway, so she came home on Monday. It is really hard for her to be home without baby I. But every day brings that homecoming day closer!!
I hope it's a great trip for your DS, Lauralind. He must be a strong runner.
Oh CL, I just read about the shots. That sounds really painful. I hope it resolves and doesn't become litigious.
Looks like you've got a full day, L Ann.
Next:
- lists in notebook
- update toodledo
- bathroom and board when it's time
Later:
- fly home safely
- make lists for the remainder of the week
- read on the flight
- drive home from the airport
- catch up with dh
- duolingo
- update health apps - this has really fallen to the wayside during this time. . .
TaDas!
- emptied dw
- coffee
- email deletions
- chat with F and Sh
- payroll: graded HW - practice exams
- payroll: messages with the sub and AC
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- packed my suitcase
- tidied room; sheets and towels into laundry
- said good bye to everyone
- loaded car
- gassed the car
- to rental car place - shuttle to terminal - dropped bag - security - bought some H2O - at gate an hour early

Ditto, what Bama said! In North Alabama, people are crazy too when it comes to driving in the snow and ice. And we get a lot of ice with our snow.
Tomorrow is another day.

Hi, all. I am up at last. I shamefully overcooked the cottage roll, but it is still delicious. Germane is indignant that I won't share with her, but it is very salty and she is a tiny dog with 17-year old kidneys and liver. Today I would like to charge the tire inflator and check the tires on the car, while the weather is nice. We are going to take our turn at the rain starting tomorrow.
Kittykatt, I hope that your shoe shopping is successful when you do go. That is one of those things that I put off until desparate, so you have my sympathy, but perhaps you enjoy it more than I do.
FrenchFly, thank you for the link to the scoubidou. What do you plan to make with it? Ah, I see that it is for the boys. What will they make with it?
I hope that DS7 is better today, after his rough night and that your DH's appointment goes smoothly.
Hi, vergerswife. Sometimes toast and jam just hits the spot.
Hi, Bama. I can relate to the lazy start slowing down progress. Kittykatt, how long do you use your light for? and do you stare into it, or have it on you while you still have your eyes shut in bed?
That is wonderful news that Baby I is out of the NICU, helia. I'm sure that you are all relieved.
Hi, Lauralind. We'll have to see how the day goes. I'm curious... what is your ds going to do with a piece of soffit? I'm picturing a school project, but can't picture what.
CostumeLady, it sounds like Halloween is fun at your house.
That was so kind of you to do M's shopping for her so that she can benefit from her benefits. As you can imagine, the situation is confusing to those of us who are outside your country looking in.
Wednesday
Finished filling the slow cooker and started it
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Put away dishes from one drying rack
Put away drying rack
CUOP

No that leads to a whole new story doggedly. This is ds26 (oops 27 in 2 days) his new house. He called dh yesterday. There's squirrels playing in the attic somewhere apparently waking up Lil j. He found a couple weird holes in the soffit and vent piece. Only requires a small patch job after trapping the squirrels and get them outta there...
I'm being a little slow too but I guess I accomplished something. I wandered into the craft room and looked at the shelving wall. Decided to go trade the stain for black paint. My white was looking really thick and I think black will match the desk. Maybe I will sand and do the desktop too. So groceries and prescription stuff done. And now I have decided on the shelf color. One step closer.
Going to find some lunch. Try the sample pain cream and see if it helps my neck... and see if I can get closer to some paint on the shelves.. no word from dad yet he was supposed to get some company today so maybe he's ok?

That makes more sense, Lauralind. I was picturing science projects and art projects, LOL.
I have been doing rounds between puttering in the kitchen, looking for things to fill a box for the basement, and general tidying.
Wednesday
Finished filling the slow cooker and started it
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Put away dishes from one drying rack
Put away drying rack
CUOP
Put on a pot of coffee
Work on filling box for basement
Put away dry dishes
Dusted one lamp shade while testing lightbulb
Labelled used lightbulb as good and moved it to the house stuff box

Re: Wexford Blackcurrant Jam Wednesday
Hello, everyone!
Good to see you, Vergers - toast and jam sounds delicious!
Bama, we've had different artificial trees over the years which were climbed (I can still remember Fred's little head peeping nou the first year we had him as a kitten!)
decorations have been pulled off and batted across the floor, and lights chewed through. Nowadays I have an 18" tree that sits on the sideboard , with shatterproof baubles and battery powered lights, and so far, apart from the odd bat from a paw, everyone has left it alone.
That sounds very painful, CL. I hope your shoulder improves soon by itself.
L.Ann, it will be good to get your surgery on over and done with.
Helia, so glad Baby I is out of NICU. Yes, I did manage to clean my windows today -a big improvement!
Laura, that's an exciting day planned for DS!
LucyLee, in my part of the UK, even a few cm of snow is a Big Event, and everything stops.
Dogged, I use the lightbox while I'm reading in bed or catching up on here, so I don't stare at it, but glance at it from time to time. It's hard, isn't it, when our animals want things that aren't good for them and we have to say "no" for their own good.
I've cleaned my windows, sent numerous emails regarding church matters, ordered Jude's food and Matilda's plaque off, and cleaned the kitchen. DH brought home a lasagne for supper, so I heated that in the oven and we had it with garlic bread.
