No promises, Bama. Sometimes the rabbit holes that we send each other down are pretty interesting, LOL.
That is interesting about the flat head from the baby not being turned. The back of my head is flat, to the point that I don't look good in a ponytail, and I've always suspected that it was for exactly that reason.
You are having an eventful afternoon: a sonic boom and cat herding?

I have cleared off enough of the counter and sink to start handwashing the delicates. Since the trick the handwashing gizmo pulled last time I keep two hands on it while it is full of water. I've moved the tall chair into the kitchen so that I can sit while I do that.

You got to the most important things, helia: you are healthy and the masses shall not starve.

Followed Germane around the apartment as I tried to give her a piece of cooked carrot that I had saved for her. She wanted it and stared off into space trying to guess where I was. Right behind you was never tried.
Sorted dirty laundry
Cleaned up after dog
Treat for Germane.
Put away dry dishes
Put away one drying rack
Filled the dw to run later

Set up handwashing gizmo and did quick cycle to rinse first load

The gizmo is on its best behaviour, Bama, as I am sitting next to it with two hands on it. It's waiting for me to get sloppy and walk away from it while it's full of water. It's like this wonderful, well-designed garden stool that I named Chair Of Chucky. If you flip it one way, it's a low stool that lets you get close enough to the floor or soil to work. If you flip it the other way, you can kneel on it and there are high handles to lift yourself up again. It worked perfectly for years until one day when I kneeled on it facing the stairs to clean something up. It tried to pitch me down the stairs, and I only saved myself by laying back flat on my folded knees. My knees did not enjoy this in the least.

ETA: finished the movie and remembered my November habits so rushed to do those. Now watching taped shows so I can delete them.

Strawberry jam is yummy! My MIL made it often. Freezer jam, with fresh strawberries.
Spent most of the day in my mother's home town (2+ hours away), at a funeral for the husband of a cousin. The 4 children and their spouses will all be coming to mother's service next week. I was happily surprised, as we hadn't done alot with them. I visited the cemetery where my grandparents are buried, the house where my mother grew up, the house she cleaned weekly for 50 cents when she was 15 (and talked about that for years!). The laundry my uncle owned is now a liquor store. The location of teh telephone office where my grandmother was "operator" is now a park.
I have a cold, it's much better. I found some elderberry/ ginger/ hibiscus tea - add some honey - that both tastes good and seems to help!
We gain an hour tonight, so I have worked on 1 decluttering project in my house - emptied and removed the clothes basket off teh K table!
Got home, went to Hobby Lobby and bought some poster board for pictures, discovered taht I can't find the thumb drive with pictures on it that I want so I have to do some searching....
And bought toilet paper so we have enough when people come back for the funeral!
