Hi, all. I did CUOP, but am going to jump in instead of replying. I have paid bills, washed some dishes, and plant to load the breadmaker next.
Our first snow of the season has started. It's not coming down heavily, but I can see that it is staying on the leaves of the trees and the grass. It is wonderful to watch when you have nowhere to go. I am in the enviable position of having no plans, no shopping to do, and no laundry planned. Okey, I would love to wash my new jeans, but I'm not going anywhere near the laundry rooms on a Sunday when half of them are out of order for renovations.

Sunday
Cleaned up after dog X 4
FACEd Finances: paid bills
FACEd Finances: worked on budget sheet
Put away dry dishes
Swapped out kitchen towels
Washed dishes
Put more dishes in to soak
Wiped down counter
Set up breadmaker
Tried to open the pdf with the recipe for cornbread. Adobe declined to participate.
Opened pdf under browser, which worked perfectly and which will be my first choice in the future
Started loading breadmaker
Realized that I have no coffee made, and that last time the breadmaker shared a circuit, it blew a fuse.
Filled/started coffee maker.
Started the last container of coffee. Time to gird my lions and face a trip to Costco. Not today though. Costco on a Sunday? Worse than the laundry rooms.

As it turns out, trissie, I have just opened my last container of coffee, which means a looming crisis. I will have to go out for that at some point, LOL. My db has been telling me that Costco has the best deal on coffee, but I kept finding better buys in grocery stores. However, the grocery stores keep shrinking the containers and increasing the price, so I think that I will have to face a trip to Costco. But not today. ;)
Also, I have a concert on Thursday, which will be worth leaving the apartment for. :D

How nice that you're able to stay all warm and cosy, and watch the snow, Dogged!

Trissie, I've ordered 20 buffet meals from the caterers, as I'm really not sure how many people will participate. But, I've sold /allocated 9 tickets today, and I know one lady who wasn't here today wants three tickets, so it's looking encouraging. (I can always order more meals if needed, the important thing is to cover the costs. There will be an upper limit of how many people we can accommodate, due to fire regulations, but I need to discuss that with the churchwardens.)

I think I'm just about done for today. I've written what I think is the final draft for my report to the CMA. I'll leave it overnight , check it again in the morning and then email it.

Thank you, Dogged! Of course, I've already had some complaints about the day/ date/ time not being convenient. But parish lunch is always on a Thursday, and the "regulars" often have other commitments on other days, so if we moved it, they wouldn't be able to come. Also, 3 elderly ladies have signed up for the Christmas lunch, and they wouldn't go out in the evening this time of year (too dark/cold/ wet etc). I'm quite resigned that we're never going to have a date that suits everyone.

You are so right about the realization that you can't please everyone, Kittykatt, and that way lies sanity.

My major triumph of the day was to get down on my hands and knees to check for dog messes under the bed, and was thrilled to find none. And to get back up from the floor.
