Cathy S. Luv your projects!!!
-----
I listened to a "class" on you tube today on how to do a writing retreat.
As I listened and took notes I thought how this could be a "sewing" or other retreat!
It was fun to discuss with my sister.
Some gals I went to high school with all cousins get a cabin and to a long weekend retreat
for quilting. They get great progress on projects and have a fun chatty time.
[ I think they have wine in the evenings.]
-----
Step 1 is locate project prices! LOL!
Found mine after 10 min. of looking in the drawers and cubbies.
My sis said she did that same, after she'd organized her space last mo.
could not remember where it was.

-----
I think I"m about 1/3 or the way done with the current knitting project.

From Cathy :

Woo hoo!! I am finished the 11,000 stitches on "Sunset Bay". cross stitch! It's been ironed and it's ready for framing. I might take it in next week, but no huge rush.

So happy to be done with this particular piece. Dh loves it.

Well, poodley. I found a link, but it wasn't right. Oh, well, sounds beautiful anyway! - Harriet

Nancy, I wonder if you and your sister could have some kind of zoom-type meeting and see and hear each other as you share sewing retreat time. I have never "hosted" anything like that, but I assume it is something that could be learned.

Cathy, what pretty pieces. The sunset one is so restful - 11,000 stitches, wow you have accomplished a lot there. Love the whimsy of those mason jar vases.

When I insert a link, I type

and then type the e-address behind the equal sign, finishing with an ]
Then put in the words I want to explain what it is
Then type [/url]

The link for Mason Jar Lineup is correct. Lots of greens and very light blue-greens, including 4 blended colours on the jars. There is a lot of back stitches, which really made a difference with every jar and every flower. I don't really like this piece, but dh is pushing me to finish it. I wanted to give it to DMIL for a gift, but now she doesn't want any gifts. Not a piece I really want to hang at the moment.

The link for Sunset Bay isn't the right one. The one I did is 90% in shades of purple with a lot of mountains/really large hills. It's from a booklet from 1990. 've wanted to do this piece ever since I bought the booklet, which may have been in the mid 90's. It reminds me of a cruise I took in Alaska in 2007. I remember being on the ship and thinking about the cross stitch project with the purple mountains. I was so happy to do this piece because I love the colour purple. This is a full coverage piece even though the sky and the water are half stitches. There is no back stitches or blended colours in this piece. I already have a spot to hang this one.
