I have bested Inner Brat on the subject of the shower, but had to give up on the errands. It was a very short trip to the animal hospital to get Germane's Apoquel, but then I added a trip the pharmacy and the pet store across the street, then "just a few things" from the grocery store in the same centre, then oh but I should really drive to the library to return their materials and when I got to checking the tires in the dark and now snow, Inner Brat dug in her heels and "not today super ego, not today!"
Errands will wait for tomorrow, for daylight.
On the bright side, I can do laundry tonight. It's all sorted.

It's so frustrating to lose a post, Gma. WTG on getting so many thank you cards done. Your dmother was popular.

A reading day sounds like a good day, Bama.

WTG on getting the fridge cleaned out, and everything else too, Kittykatt. Aren't begonias amazing? I used to hang mine from the branches of the spruce trees so that the dogs' ropes wouldn't break them, and they bloomed with very little care.

I've got the laundry going. Now I'm trying to find what I did with the library's set of Tintin DVDs. I have one in my computer that I can watch, but I need to return them soon so I have to find the set.

Bama, so glad Captain was OK. Oh so interesting that you're having Thanksgiving dinner at a pow wow. I'd love to hear about it.

It is now 9:15 pm. My day didn't go as planned - again. LOL! I'm sensing a theme. The window washers never showed up; actually, that didn't affect my day today -- BUT it will affect my day tomorrow as I need to be here when they show up at 10 a.m. Apparently, they forgot to put our house on the schedule?? Dh was not amused. We will keep the house as it is, prepped with everything pulled away from the windows. Dh took the screens off the windows and washed them this morning - he doesn't let others do that after they were damaged once by a window washing company. AS moved my work out appointment with him to 4 pm, which was fine. It just put my day in a different order. I did get a haircut, made a grocery order, got another load of Mom's stuff washed and dried, emailed with the paralegal, and emailed the trustee as a favor to her; the trustee has not been engaging with the lawyer, and the lawyer needs the trustee to do some time sensitive tasks for my mom's estate.

I haven't done anything after the after dinner clean up. I will at least update health apps and do duolingo.

Gma ~ thank you notes -- Like you, I decided to get on them right away to get the bulk of them done - then I could keep up as more came in. It did seem to help to let some of my heart out on paper. ((hugs)). Hmm.. I didn't know that you could restore deleted voicemails. I'll have to look into that.
Dogged ~ I took the samples to the townhouse and messed around with them for 2 hours and made notes. I was going to take them back to the showroom today but the rep said there wasn't a hurry to do. I'm taking them back to the townhouse tomorrow for another look. I know where I'm leaning, just want to confirm. yay for finding the charger!
Bama ~ Omg.. G is so thankful that I'm not dragging him to help with these decisions. He's got enough on is plate. "But I'll go if you waaaaannnt (whine) me too." The rep was VERY helpful in picking out choices of carpet and tile to take with me. I had a general direction of where I wanted to go. He must be pretty experienced because he seemed to know what I was talking about. He was pretty intuitive.
helia ~ sorry you're having some frustrations with the trustee. I'm assuming she's "older?"
kitty ~ getting fridge cleaned out before grocery shopping is always a big win in my book! ygg!

helia, that still looks like a lot of accomplishments to me, even if you didn't do them in the order you originally intended. Very frustrating to get ready for the window washers and not have them turn up, though.

Smile*Lee, that is great that you are getting good advice from the rep. They can steer you toward things that work together, or just be no help at all, depending on who you get.

Laundry is done. I have hung one bag of laundry, and am giving my knees a rest before I tackle the next one.

Found the charger for the tire pump. Where was it? In its original box, so that I wouldn’t lose it or mix it up with other chargers. In the most logical place possible. It only took me two weeks to find it, LOL.

Flipped laundry
Brought laundry back
Set up big drying rack
Hung the dried laundry to finish drying
Set up the small drying rack
Hung the delicates

I wasn't able to restore deleted voicemails, but I was at least able to get a record of the calls - at least a record is promised.
Supper at mother's house - alone - emptied 1 container of leftovers from the very full refrigerator.
Wrote several more acknowledgment cards tonight after more cards came in the mail today.
And paid a bill.
All are at the post office now.

I think there's somthing else, but I can't remember right now - maybe bake a birthday cake that mother used to bake for me, maybe go to meat market to get their specialty sausage to bring to my dneice as ty for letting me stay with her, saving hotel cost.

Late night check in and wtg to all.

Just got off the phone w df L so my mind is whirling, she’s 84 and full of life usually, but she cancelled our outing today and called tonight, talked for hours and somehow ended up on the “I might not live to see another holiday” frame of mind which I’m sure we all get at a certain age, she is surrounded by family but they don’t visit often so she sits alone and her mind goes to dark places. I am here for her but I really didn’t want a new friendship with someone just to lose them after so much loss the last few years. Now she wants me to go through her THREE sheds of stuff and help organize it. Y’all understand. I know you all get it so that is why I’m dumping it here so I can get to sleep soon. I need to mentally prepare for all of the above (decluttering, losing someone sooner rather than later, it’s not like I can plan ahead with her too far in advance).

Dd1 called today too and we talked over an hour. Our relationship has changed, not for the worse, just different, so it’s an adjustment. She has a lot going on, has lived through a lot on her own the past couple of years and is starting over in a new city with a new career and taking classes for it. That left me in knots too. She is coming home Wednesday but can only stay one night bc of her class schedule. Dd2 will get here earlier so can stay longer so that will be nice. I’ll take what I can get these days.

So anyway, that’s why my thoughts are all over the place. I didn’t get any reading done. Or chores.
