I made dh something to eat. We have finished up all leftovers from the fridge. Dh has one 6 pack of soda that should last him a couple of days.

Dh said he's going to have a short nap. I might just have to go into the bedroom in an hour and make some sort of noise or "accidently" bump against the bed. 8-)

Coming back through. I just told dh he needed to "read the room" before lecturing me about turning off the stovetop when I make my omelet. i didn't even have the omelet onto the plate. He said he needed to get out of the house, and that's fine with me, lol. He also complained that the roomba hadn't picked up stuff on the carpet and floor so I suggested he get out the small vacuum for it. That's when he said he needed to get out of my way. lol! RR, yes, I was thinking about what you said about him managing me, that's it in a nutshell!

I'll need to be heading to my workout in an hour.

we had a robbery in town yesterday - we have had large groups of people drive off the highway for Motor works in town - breaking in and stealing cars - very fast. We also had a repair shop for cars broken into but they thought it was an inside job but yesterday we had a regular small store hit by 6-8 men - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jl0ziubL8M - we have never had anything like this - they were in and out with in 2 minutes and took off down the highway. we are 12 minutes (during the day) (less at night) where they got away. Someone must have been in there and decided it was a good place to break into. I think it was resell? not sure. I feel for the owners. This is only the 3rd time in 25 years that this has happened - all within the last 5 years.

the last big thing was a family who pretended to be robbed and in the blotter someones feed bags were stolen.
very sad.

Hello, all! I hate when I get in here too late to keep up, but I did it to myself!

lucylee, even if I could walk easily, I am not enough of a masochist to walk up the street to see if the waves are 30'. (I'm pretty sure they're not; I'm guessing they must be talking Lake Superior, but I could be wrong.) The wind is brutal. My weather app says it is 24F, and the winds are at 32 mph with gusts up to 51! (That's -4C with winds of 55 kph and gusts up to 87 kph -- easy to change units on the app.) The windows have been rattling. We have not had much snow here yet, though.

DH and I went out this morning to drop off DD's prescription for toothpaste so we can pick it up before year's end. We were able to get out and back before the weather started getting bad.

I have otherwise not been productive today. I fell down the rabbit hole on a game the kids showed me. DH did our year-end charitable contributions; I helped a little at the end, doing a few online gifts to places we didn't have envelopes for.

I'm dressed in cruddy clothing (things I can get bleach on) in anticipation of cleaning the bathroom. I am debating whether to do that next or to bake cookies. I think maybe the cookies. If I wait too long to do those, I will be in DH's way in the kitchen. So it's off to the kitchen for me!

I have read a bit in my new book that came.
One other I leafed through and looked at the table of contents.
Put the pen refills in on my desk in the butterfly room.

Then headed out walked ddoggo around the block.
Decided to work on the branches that needed picked up they were smaller.
Broke them down and put them in two garbage cans to go later on next month.

Warming up a bit & had a bite of lunch after that.
I need to put my foot up for a while.

I have not CUOP-ed. Home from great workout, lots of stretching and some strength work.

I think I need to get into the shower next, then get started again. Lots to do still. Dh is going to walk ddog. I have about 2K more steps than he does - he asked how I got that many. He never noticed all the work I was doing this a.m. I think!

Anyway, shower next.

We lost power for 90 minutes. There was a tree branch on a power line in our area. Nobody was hurt or at risk. Everyone is safe and warm.

Those 30 foot waves are on Lake Erie. I saw a picture. It was impressive.

Dh wants tomato soup for supper. We need more milk, so dh has gone to get some.

Other than that, nothing new and exciting here. Dh napped while the power was out. I came close to falling asleep but I didn't lay down, so I did NOT nap today! YAY!!

I did manage to get the focus cleaning done already. I have to wash a sheet and a blanket, but that will be later tonight.

We are a mile (give or take) north of Lake Ontario. There is a highway between us and the lake. The waves that I saw a picture of are on Lake Erie.

Dh and I have had our supper. Good night for a hot bowl of soup! We had a variety of crackers to go with the soup. Dh had some liverwurst on his crackers.
