I am so glad that your DH has his phone back, Kittykatt. More and more web sites are using a code sent to the phone as a security measure. I can imagine all kinds of problems coming from losing it. But all's well that ends well.

Hi, Peaches

Tuesday
Put on a pot of coffee
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for Germane.
Spiffed self
Put away dry dishes
Put on a pot of rice
Boiled eggs
Cleaned glasses
Gathered dirty laundry
Set up new fleece bed with electric heating pad inserted in it for Germane. Germane, naturally, did not set foot back in the bathroom, preferring to beg for food that she could reject.
Started two loads of laundry. Yay! Got to do it on my own floor.
Flipped laundry
Cleaned up after dog
Brought laundry back
Made donation to mission

I got a lot of Christmas take down done today, kittykatt. Everything but the tree is put away…. The tree is my favorite part of the decorations so it comes down last. I need to put the three large bins back in the shed tomorrow. I can do by myself but the third one might need to wait for DD33 to be home since I am pretty sure it is over the 10 pound limit of what I am supposed to carry…. Although I can probably drag or push it across the grass.

Definitely wiser to wait for help, L.Ann, though I can understand the urge to just get it finished.

I have hung the laundry and played with plants and the the grow light, and have offered Germane different things to eat. Now she doesn't even like the broth of the vegetables that I had cooked for her.

Sundogs are not a common phenomenon. I have only seen a triple twice in my life. They are definitely a sign of very cold weather, so they only happen in the winter, and in cold northern climates.
FFB, kittykatt, I'm glad your cards arrived! I did mail them a long time ago.
L.ann - you are taking down Christmas, I am clearing spaces and putting up some decorations! My tree has been up with ornaments on it for a few weeks, but everything else was still away from the several years it has been since I have decorated MY house at Christmas. I don't even remember everything I have.
I did get out my hand painted Dala Swedish horses, and another 1 that came from another region when I had an opportunity to visit Sweden. And I have the runner that I made on top of the piano. It really looks lovely. There's still a long ways to go before the room is looking good.
I'm tired - time to quit for the night. I spent 90 minutes shoveling snow at mother's and that wore me out! I moved the couch, after clearing it off and vacuuming it. The oak floor under it really needs washing, and that is going to have to wait until morning. Along with at least 4 boxes - Mother would often tell me, just put it in a box, and go through it later. Well, it looks like later has arrived. Maybe. My city picks up real trees on Monday; I'll have to decide if I want to give mine up by then, or have ds help me put it into my trunk and haul it myself to the city disposal site later. I have a small ceramic tree I can put in the window if I still want a tree up - it's a tree I amde when ds was a baby, (52 years ago!) and is what I put up every year at my house while I was living with mother, so I could say I did put up a tree.

I'm starting to ramble, just very tired, so it's time to go to bed. Nothing planned for tomorrow, except I have Kohl's cash that expires, so I might go shopping for a little while. NY Day is the Rose Bowl parade in the morning, and the rest of the day I'm just going to keep cleaning, sorting. Keeping eating very simple for the time being.
G'night
