Hello, everyone!

L.Ann, I'm glad the birds have found your feeder - a cardinal sounds very impressive!

Dogged, I use my phone as my alarm clock, and Matilda watches me as I hit the stop button, and today decided to have a go herself. She's not quite there yet, but give her time...

Helia, that puzzle looks a lot of work! I do enjoy a jigsaw, but their not really practical here, because.... cats! (chewing, hiding -you get the idea! )

Harriet, I think I prefer detective stories where the "murder action" takes place "off screen".

Trissie, I enjoy the Tommy and Tuppence series, especially as Tuppence (who I think is the more intelligent and resourceful one of the couple ) is always being overlooked and left out, especially by officialdom, but by using her intelligence and ingenuity manages to come out on top.

WTG conquering the spam email, Bama!

A ball game in the snow with DDog sounds fun, KitKat!

My main achievement today was to finish deep cleaning the spare room, on time for DH WFH tomorrow. The contents of the box files still need to be decluttered, but my plan is to go through those one at a time when DH is at choral practice. I also cut Fred's nails, without bloodshed, and DH survived his first day back at work , so all in all it's been a successful day.

Temperatures are dropping steadily outside, bit I think they're supposed to rise again towards the end of the night, so hopefully tomorrow morning tomorrow's vet trip with Freddie won't be too challenging.

Best Buy sounds like they are on top of things, and the agent was very reassuring. Apparently, all of these communications are monitored by Best Buys managers so they already know about it. For now, we wait, but I came away with the impression that I will end up with either a replacement or a refund.

Big WTG on getting that room deepcleaned, Kittykatt!
Some day soon, Matilda will be able to turn alarms off for you. A peaceful life, LOL.

Dogged - I've read some Tommy and Tuppence... but can't remember the title.
Still, Miss Marple is my fav. character.

Did those... It all takes FOREVER!
Going back up and trying some more DC.
Dinner is good leftovers. (I love it when that happens:) )

Miss Marple is my favourite character too, kitkat. And leftovers are awesome. :)

I have that new cart assembled. Back to it!

Monday
Put on a pot of coffee
Checked email from building re: missing parcel
Update goals
Spiffed self
Got ready to walk to long term care residence to see if they have my parcel. Germane wants to go out. She planted herself in front of the door and looked at me meaningfully.
Brought Germane for a carry.
Carried her over the salty path and set her down in the parking lot. Germane started pooping immediately. Germane coped with the -30C windchill about as well as I expected. Germaine tried to lift a cold paw while pooping and fell over. By the time she was done, she had pooped a couple of times and was sitting on her butt with both back paws in the air.
Cleaned up after dog
Carried her back into apartment
Checked mail
Washed out her eyes and paw with a warm wash cloth
Opened a new tin of dog food: Performatrin Duck and Potato. Yay! She likes it. For now, at least.
Walked to building and spoke to receptionist. She was very helpful, but does not have my parcel.

Called BestBuy about the missing parcel: put myself in the queue for callback
Put away some of the dry laundry
Put away some of the dry dishes
BestBuy called back. The agent was very helpful and reassuring.
Put away the laundry bags
Checked laundry and put away the dry
Put away dry dishes
Opened box with small wire cart.
Immediately acquired a splinter from the first thing that I touched. It’s made of metal. I didn’t know that splinters were an option.
Dug in boxes of stuff from my desk. Found the tweezers.
Removed splinter with my left hand, revealing a talent that I didn’t know that I had.
Assembled the wire cart

Poor little Germane. I always have felt do sorry for out dogs when they need to go outside for their business, and it's so cold. Little Tutsi, Muffin and Cookie all had layers of clothes over their good Pekingese fur, and Mother tied a scarf around their tummies for extra protection. We were never able to get anything on their feet, but they did have long fur between the toes. (Those were the past few dogs, one at a time, over a period of about 40 years. I miss having a little dog around to talk to, but know that it is not appropriate for me to have any pet right now. )

When I went on my 2,000 mile road trip, I wanted an Agatha Christie audio book to listen too. Our library had NONE in place, but could order in. I was leaving the next day, so ended up enjoying a wonderful novel about a young Irish Country Doctor.
On break from sorting, ready soon to start beck at it. Took time to watch Murder She Wrote for the last half of the episode. Ready to get a chair and all the sorting boxes by the K table, and work. Last night 30 minutes turned in to almost 3 hours. Tonight I am setting a timer, and will stop. I'm tired after exercise class and a full day.

Luckily for Germane, she can use pee pads so she doesn't have to go out if she doesn't want to. She just had a bit of cabin fever and wanted to come when she saw me dressed to go out, so I brought her out to see. Now she knows why she hasn't gone out recently, LOL.
I like Murder She Wrote too, Gma.

I think that I'm done for tonight. I'm just going to coast.
