Morning all. Way to go gma on making the table pretty.

Lann I drove half that yesterday. Hope it's a good appointment.

I need to pick up Casper and weigh him. Curious.. he was supposed to be max 60... maybe 70? Or is he one of the oversized 80 or 90 that he wasn't supposed to get to.

Anyway yesterday was good. But very busy. Car is fine. 2 cats have vet appointments. I have medication. And need more understanding before I decide to take it.

Still tired but at least a better night.

oh my gosh, gma, a totally clean dining table, that's quite an achievement! Will you celebrate it with a fancy meal to serve there? :-)
kittykatt, we're definitely not weather twins this week! -9C this morning, tomorrow we'll get a one day reprieve with the highest temperatures of whopping 0C, and then it drops again - the lowest night temps for Tuesday are forecasted for -18C! That's 0F, for those, who have to google the conversions like me :-)
helia, I have about an hour long commute to and from work - longer if there are traffic problems. Not my favourite thing to do, but we could never afford a house for 6 people in the city! And I mean, DH was commuting an hour each way when we did live in the city, just on the other side of it than his workplace!
kitkat, yay for getting a haircut! I need to schedule one too, I've taken to wearing my hair in a ponytail as it's too long to look good loose.
L.Ann, good luck ad the apt!
lauralind, crossing my fingers that everybody has fingers after the double cat vet apt! :-)

I did not do the resistance band thing last night, as that would have required way too much energy, instead I spent 10 minutes playing a silly game on my phone while cycling on the stationary bike. Exercise is exercise, right? :-)
Today is same old, same old. Only there's new drama in office (nobody's fault, but still my duty to clear everything out), and my neverending list, but I don't want to come of as constantly negative, so I will rejoice in the fact that tomorrow I am working from home and then it's weekend! :-)

TaDas
- morning madness
- snacks for all kids
- at work on time
- F&P report - all day work
- pay school fees
- pay cross-world subsciption for DMIL
- deletion of all notifications and non-relevant texts from my cellphone

ToDos
- grocery run on the way home
- 50 minutes of action

Braindump
- morning routine
- midday routine
- afternoon routine
- evening routine
- dinner
- bake something sweet
- menus - one new recipe!
- shopping list
- grocery run
- put groceries away
- deliver yesterday's laundry

- clean DBD's room
- at least 15 minutes in living room
- 10 minutes on un-decorating
- one leftover holiday cleaning task
- homework / backpacks with kids
- DBD's speech therapy

- 15 of exercise

Wow Gma! Congratulations on getting the table cleared! Those flowers sure will look nice on it.
That is a long commute trissie. Yeah, homes in big cities are expensive. I hope the drama at work is cleared out without too much work for you. Cycling on a stationary bike absolutely counts as exercise, imho.
I hope the appointment goes well L Ann. Safe travels!
Yes, kitkat, I'm trying to resurrect an ancient knitting habit. I think becoming a grandmother inspired me. I see you crochet. I used to crochet a little as well. Enjoy the mild weather!
How will you weigh Caspar, Lauralind? Will you pick him up and step on a scale? Or are you taking him to the vet? Fable, dd27's Lab pup, weighs 70-ish pounds right now. She doesn't look that big.
I hope you had a good morning at church, Kitty. Did you have coffee or lunch with friends afterward?

Yesterday was fairly productive for me! I got in a jog, made 2 med appts., scheduled a coffee date and a haircut, made more versions of our NY card, edited the blurb after dh edited it, ordered the card, made a WF run, picked up an Rx from Walgreens, and made a tasty dinner of panko encrusted salmon and steamed asparagus. I also ordered a couple sweaters on sale. :)

Today: The pest control guy is still here. No more critters in traps. He's currently on the roof, working to make sure the entryway the flying squirrels used (around some venting pipe) is closed off. I think I might be going to the gym with the girls this morning? Not sure. I would probably swim and then jump in the hot tub with them. I am meeting with my personal trainer at 2. It will be good to get back into work outs with him. Tonight, we're having leftovers + roasted butternut squash. It's very mild outside, so I might try to get out for a walk as well. Around the house: clean sheets on the bed, 1 load of laundry, remaking the guest beds, and paying some snail mail bills would be great. Maybe also going through my mom's knick knacks from the nursing home. Eventually, I need to make a trip to a charity to get her stuff out of our house.

Next:
- some qt
- back exercises
- s2s and self care

Later:
- reclaim kitchen
- strip MBR bed
- 1 load of sheets w d f pa
- remake MBR bed
- make up 3 guest beds
- make foot Dr. appointment?
- reach out to JK
- gym with the girls: swimming and hot tub?
- lunch
- pay snail mail bills
- 2-3 work out with AS
- go for a walk - because it's balmy weather out there!
- restart my knitting project
- read fun book
- dinner: quinoa taco bowls and roasted butternut squash
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update health apps
- lists in notebook
- write out goals for the next 4 weeks without classroom payroll

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - trending down
- coffee

☀️Good morning!
Feels like spring here, the ac is running like it’s summer. This weather is so confused. Which leads to confused plants and grass. My paperwhites have already bloomed out.

Thx for the start, trissie. It’s nice to be able to steer clear of the drama when possible.

Laura, it’s all floof! ;)

Kitkat, what are you crocheting? Beau’s paw isn’t swollen and he’s not limping any, I kept him inside yesterday which he didn’t like but he’s such a good sport about it. He generally doesn’t pull on the leash but Thumper makes up for it by constantly wrapping around all of us or stopping and refusing to go forward. He’s the brat of the pack.

LAnn, hope your appointment goes well.

Enjoy your cleared off table, gma. I clear mine most days but dh fills it right back up.

Kittykatt, hope all goes well with Jude’s visit to the clinic. Love the senior advice, there isn’t one path to get there it seems. A local centenarian was interviewed for the news one time and her secret was a Dr Pepper daily.

Helia, good luck with your knitting and very active day plans. Bye bye rodents.

Time for breakfast. I’ve been wanting peanut butter so will make toast and coffee to go with.

Good morning / Good afternoon, L Ann, KitKat, Laura, Helia, Trissie and Bama

L Ann, I hope your appointment goes well.

KitKat, yay for a new haircut -I'm sure you look beautiful!

Laura, you're very brave taking two cats to the vet together. I have tried multiple cats in the past, but dear little Jude, who is a very timid cat, got very distressed with whoever was kicking off. And I really don't want Matilda picking up Fred's bad habits and deciding it's fine to swear and swipe and everyone. Having one cat with Animal Bites appearing in red on several places on his notes is embarrassing enough!

You certainly had a very productive day yesterday, and your supper sounded delicious! I stayed for coffee after church, but then had to hurry back home to collect Jude for her weight appointment.

Sorry about the drama at work, Trissie. A stationary bike certainly counts as exercise -WTG!

Bama, I think DF E was also very fortunate that she had forward thinking parents, who encouraged their academic daughter to get an education. Very often then, the eldest daughter would be kept home do help her mother look after the younger children, but E's parents were very keen for their clever daughter not take up her place at the grammar school and pass her exams. Also, thanks to the local newsagent, E was able to satisfy her love of reading. She never got enough pocket money to be able to buy one of the new children's comics (what we would call today educational magazines for Children,.not cartoons!) bit the newsagent formed a "read and return" club for the local children. He charged a ha'penny a week, and for that you were able to borrow threw or four magazines to read, and return them when you had finished. In those days there were no local authority run free at the point of use libraries, only subscription libraries like the one run by Boots, which, of course were far too expensive for E's family.to even consider. E has still retained her love.of reading.over the years :D

Back from the vets. Jude was a little angel as usual, ( it's quite a novelty.to have a well behaved cat!) and has lost another 50 grams (I think that's around 2 Oz?) I did manage to hoover the car this morning, but it's now pouring with rain, so I think I'll do a little.work on the kitchen this afternoon, and I might make leek and potato soup for supper,.as that's.nice and warming .

Good morning, all. (for me, anyway.) It is a warm day, hovering around freezing, so the apartment is warm enough and that makes for a good day for me. Today is Errands Day, so once I get launched I won't be around.
Today's Goals:
Library to return DVDs. Yes, I found them.
Bank to deposit my Old Age Security cheque from last month
Computer store to buy stand for monitor
Costco? It's in the same parking lot as the computer store. Am I feeling lucky?
Grocery store. I want to buy vegetables in quantities that feed households, not armies.

Thank you for the fun start, trissie. Having finished Tommy and Tuppence's World War II book, I have gone on to their first one. I'm not familiar with their last one, and now want to look for it.

Hooray for warm weather for your errands, Kittykatt!

That is so nice, Gma, buying flowers to celebrate your nice clean table.

I hope that things go well at the doctor, L.Ann.

Hi, kitkat. It looks like it is Errands Day for you too.

I have made it to the end of Page 1. Time to get up

Thursday
Got TP from cupboard
Got tissue boxes for desk and bedside
Cleaned up after dog
Breakfast for dog: she ate two out of three dog foods: yay!
Checked Best Buy account to see if replacement has shipped yet: not yet
